Mumbai, February 5 - Bollywood star Varun Dhawan's film with Tamil director Kalees has been titled Baby John, the first of its action drama for the actor. The movie also stars Keerthy Suresh and Wamiqa Gabbi as the female leads. ## The film's title was unveiled on February 5 with a fiery first-look teaser. The music by Thaman S elevates the teaser with electrifying BGM. Baby John promises to be a high-octane action thriller, already making fans excited about it. ## Presented by Jio Studios and Atlee, the film is produced by Murad Khetani, Priya Atlee, and Jyoti Deshpande under the banners of A for Apple, and Cine1 Studios. Ranbir Kapoor's 'Ramayana' Shooting Details Revealed

Mumbai, February 4 - The countdown begins for the shoot commencement of Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor-led epic Ramayana, potentially the biggest Indian film in the making. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the three-part film features Kapoor in the role of Lord Ram alongside Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Raavan, and Sunny Deol as Hanuman, among others. ## The pre-production work on Ramayana has been going on for a long time and now, the makers are set to take the movie on floors in March this year. According to a report by TOI, the first schedule of the film will take in Mumbai for around 60 days in which Ranbir and Sai Pallavi will be shooting for their portions. ## After the Mumbai schedule, the team will head to London for another around 60 days of filming. Superstar Yash will join Ranbir in the London schedule, however, the former will shoot for around 15-20 days as he will have an extended appearance as Lankesh in the first part of Ramayana. ## The second and third parts of Ramayana will mainly focus on Yash's Raavan and Sunny Deol's Hanuman along with Ranbir and Pallavi. Meanwhile, it is said that Ranbir has willingly renounced alcohol and non-vegetarian food as his intention is to feel as pure as lord Ram in this epic saga. ## Apart from the aforementioned actors, the makers have roped in Lara Dutta to play the role of Kaikeyi while the talks are in an advanced stage with Vijay Sethupathi to play Vibhishana. Mumbai, February 3 - It is known to everyone that Sunny Deol has reunited with director Rajkumar Santoshi after more than two decades for a period action drama film titled Lahore 1947, which is based on the Punjabi play Jis Lahore Nai Dekhya O Jamyai Nai by Asghar Wajahat. ## The movie will be produced by Aamir Khan and the makers have roped in a stellar cast with Sunny Deol in the lead. It was recently reported that actress Preity Zinta was locked in to play the female lead. She was last seen in Bhaiaji Superhit back in 2018 and it also starred Sunny in the title role. ## Lahore 1947 marks Priety Zinta and Sunny Deol's 5th film together and veteran actress Shabana Azmi will be joining them for a crucial role. It is said that Azmi will be portraying the character of a Hindu matriarch in Lahore. The storyline revolves around her insistence on living in an ancestral mansion, now owned by a Muslim family after the India-Pakistan partition. ## Apart from the aforementioned actors, Mona Singh is also reportedly cast to play a key role, while superstar Aamir Khan is said to be playing an extended cameo role. Box Office: Fighter Is Steady After First Monday Crash

Mumbai, February 3 - After the harsh first Monday crash, Hrithik Roshan's Fighter has shown a much better hold since then and now, it has started the second weekend on a good note.## The Siddharth Anand's directorial had a good opening weekend with 118.50 crores net collection over 4 days, however, the harsh drop of over 70% for approximately 8 crores net on its first Monday raised the eyebrows of the trade which felt the movie won't survive from there on. ## After that Monday crash, Fighter needed to steady the ship as another fall would have been the end of its journey at the box office but with positive word of mouth, especially in metro cities, making sure the film didn't drop further beyond the regular dip. ## Over the next three days (Tuesday - Thursday), the film held better with a regular drop of around 10% to score 146.50 crores net in the extended first 8-day week. Fighter crossed the 150 crores net mark on its second Friday with approximately 5.75 crores net collection, for approximately 152.25 crores net in 9 days. The second weekend is expected to score over 20+ crores net. ## Fighter is very good at the overseas box office and has so far grossed an estimated 76 crores in 9 days. The duo is now set to reunite and the fans are excited about this long-awaited collaboration. ## It was revealed in 2022 that Priyadarshan is working on a script to reunite with Akshay and now, the filmmaker has shared some major updates regarding the same. Contrary to the rumours, the film is not a sequel or remake though it is a horror comedy, different from Bhool Bhulaiyaa. ## "My film with Akshay is not a remake. It is an original idea. The script is not mine; it was given to me by Ekta Kapoor (producer). It is not Bhool Bhulaiyaa, but it will be a horror comedy, in the fantasy horror zone, as horror can never be real. We are going on floors in October (2024)", Priyadarshan said (via TOI). ## The filmmaker further revealed that he found the script offered by Ekta Kapoor very exciting. Mumbai, January 27 - Hrithik Roshan's Fighter, after the big jump of around 75% on Republic Day, shows a very good hold in the collection on Saturday/third day. The movie did well to beat the opening day numbers and beat them comfortably. ## The film needed to score above the first-day collection and try to reach around thirty crores net which it has done as early estimates suggest the third-day collection in the range of 28 crores net (final collection may vary on either side depending on single screens). The movie has a jump of around 25% over the first day. ## The total collection of the movie is around 90 crores net in three days and it is set to enter 100 crores net club by tomorrow, on Sunday (4th day). The 4-day weekend is expected to be around 125 crores net which is a very good collection after the underwhelming start. ## Fighter is best performing in urban areas while mass centers are also showing improvement due to positive word of mouth. The real test of the film will be on Monday which will give a better look at how good WOM is. Mumbai, January 25 - After a decent opening day collection of approximately 22.50 crores net, Hrithik Roshan and director Siddharth Anand's Fighter has witnessed a massive turnaround on Republic Day as collection jumped by around 70% which is excellent. ## A more than 50% jump was a must for Fighter on the second day to take advantage of the holiday after the decent start, but here, the film showed a huge improvement over the opening day as early estimates suggest collection in the range of 38 crores net. ## The positive word of mouth showed its effect as mass centres scored big jumps as a collection in some of the centres doubled up from the first day. The final collection might be around 40 crores but it depends on how strong non-urban areas in overall. ## The total collection of Fighter is around 61+ crores net in two days which is a very good number after the lower-than-expected start. Mumbai, January 25 - Hrithik Roshan and director Siddharth Anand's third film together Fighter hit the big screens today. The film had underwhelming pre-sales for the opening day which left so much on-the-spot booking for the chances of a big opening at the box office.## The movie had a slow start in the morning with an average occupancy of around 10-15% before witnessing a minor jump in the afternoon and a further improvement in the evening and night shows, however, the big jump in the occupancy was missing throughout the day. ## Fighter managed to cross the 20 crores net mark as early estimates suggest the opening in the range of 21-22 crores net. The opening can be called a decent though a much better start was expected from the combo of Hrithik and Siddharth. The business of the film mostly came from urban areas as mass centres remained on the lower side on the opening day. ## The initial word of mouth seems to be on the positive side which is a must for the movie. The bookings for the second day, which also happens to be Republic Day, are much better and the film will look to score a big jump tomorrow. A jump of at least 50% is what the movie will need to get the advantage of the holiday. ## The movie will target the opening of 100+ crores net over the 4-day weekend.
