Pictures has officially set a release date for the martial arts fantasy film, Mortal Combat 2, a sequel to 2021's Mortal Kombat and the fourth instalment in the Mortal Kombat film series.## Based on the video game franchise Mortal Kombat created by John Tobias and Ed Boon, Mortal Combat 2 will be hitting theatres on October 24, 2025, in IMAX. Mumbai, May 14 - In October last year, Sunny Deol announced his reunion with veteran director Rajkumar Santoshi for a period action drama film, titled Lahore 1947. Aamir Khan is bankrolling this project which is said to be based on Asghar Wajahat's acclaimed Punjabi play, "Jis Lahore Nai Dekhya O Jamyai Nai".## The shoot of the film, which also stars Preity Zinta, Shabana Azmi, and Mona Singh in key roles, is going on at a brisk pace and according to the report by Pinkvilla, the entire filming is expected to be wrapped by the end of June this year with nearly a month of the shoot left. ## It is said that Lahore 1947 is loaded with drama and emotions as larger-than-life elements arise out of the dramatic moments and characterization. The character is described as "Strong, intelligent, and alluring, Sister Francesca leaves a lasting impression in her wake. Once a great love of the Emperor, her return to the palace strains the balance of power in the capital".## The series was originally confirmed in 2019, under the title Dune: The Sisterhood.
