Kiara Advani Joins Maddock Films' Horror Comedy Universe With Newly Announced 'Shakti Shalini'

Mumbai, January 8 - Producer Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films recently announced 8 new films in the blockbuster horror-comedy universe with 2 films each till 2028. The line-up begins in 2025 with Thama and Shakti Shalini. Both films will be released in the last quarter of the year. ## While Thama is being headlined by Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna, the latest report by Peepingmoon.com has revealed that Kiara Advani will lead Shakti Shalini which is a female-centric blockbuster. It is a supernatural comedy in which Kiara will play the titular role. ## The report further states that Punjabi-born director Ajitpal Singh, who has helmed the TV series Tabbar, will be directing Shakti Shalini. He is known for crafting intense and emotionally driven narratives which makes him an interesting choice for Shakti Shalini. ## Scheduled to be released on December 31, 2025, the shoot of Shakti Shalini is expected to commence in April/May. Just like other films in the horror-comedy universe, it also draws inspiration from Indian folklore, but it is said to be different in many ways. ## Kiara, meanwhile, has multiple films in the in the making. She will next be seen in Ram Charan's Pan India biggie Game Changer, slated for January 10 release. Mumbai, January 8 - After getting postponed from October 2024, the beloved Ramayana: The Legend of Prince Rama, the anime adaptation of Valmiki's timeless epic, is coming to Indian theatres this Republic Day weekend, more than two decades after it was first released in the early 90s.## On Wednesday (January 8), it was announced that the timeless epic will be hitting Indian cinemas on January 24, 2025, in Hindi, English, Telugu, and Tamil. Legendary writer V Vijayendra Prasad has provided his creative vision to the Indian language dubs. ## The Legend of Prince Rama will be distributed across India by Geek Pictures India, AA Films and Excel Entertainment. It was co-directed by Koichi Sasaki, Ram Mohan, and Yugo Sako, and is a joint Japanese and Indian production venture. ## It is a Japanese-Indian animated film that retells the classic Indian epic, the Ramayana. Co-produced by Japan's Yugo Sako and India's Ram Mohan, the story follows Prince Rama, the incarnation of the god Vishnu, who embarks on a journey to rescue his wife Sita, kidnapped by the demon king Ravana.## The trailer will be released on January 10. ## The wait is over! Producer Dinesh Vijan Reacts On Producer Naga Vamsi's Derogatory Comments On Bollywood Industry

Mumbai, January 5 - Producer Dinesh Vijan of Maddock Films has reacted to the recent comments made by Telugu producer Naga Vamsi on the Bollywood film industry. During a roundtable interaction of filmmakers, Vamsi said that while the South industry is going Pan India, Bollywood filmmakers are making films only for Juhu and Bandra in a seemingly arrogant tone. ## During Sky Force's trailer launch event, producer Dinesh Vijan was asked to react to Vamsi's derogatory remarks. The filmmaker, who has been in top form with back-to-back big successes, made a very dignified response without showing Vamsi and South industry in a bad light. ## Speaking about the same, Vijan said that since the pandemic, there are 5 Hindi films (Pathaan, Jawan, Gadar 2, Animal, and Stree 2) which has crossed 500 crore net collection which didn't exist earlier. He said that just because Bollywood filmmakers don't speak about or brag about those successes, the fact is that we have 5 huge films (since Covid-19). ## Without gunning down the entire South industry, Vijan said that there might be 1 or 2 people who speak like that but whenever he has gone to South, they (South filmmakers) have been very encouraging. He called for unity and said that we should start calling ourselves as Indian film industry. ## Meanwhile, Sky Force stars Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya (in his acting debut) alongside Sara Ali Khan, Nimrat Kaur and Sharad Kelkar in key roles. Chennai, December 31 - Tamil star Suriya and director Vetrimaaran announced their maiden collaboration together a few years back in the form of Vaadivaasal. The movie should have kick-started and been released by now but due to Vetri's commitment to Viduthalai films, it faced multiple delays. ## The continued delays in the production of Vaadivaasal led to disappointment among the fans and there were rumours that it might get dropped. However, the project is on and it might start rolling in 2025 since Viduthalai films are done releasing. ## According to the latest Tamil media reports, Vaadivaasal may also go Viduthalai way as it is said that Vetrimaaran is planning to make it in three parts. Hyderabad, December 30 - Telugu superstar and Andhra Pradesh deputy Cheif Minister, Pawan Kalyan has opened up on the recent Sandhya Theatre stampede incident in which superstar Allu Arjun has been made accused by the Telangana government.## The incident occurred during the premiere of Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2 - The Rule in Hyderabad on December 4. The actor was watching the movie with fans but due to the huge crowd outside the theatre, a stampede-like situation happened in which a woman died while her son got injured. ## Allu Arjun was arrested recent before getting released on interim bail. The incident was also discussed in the Telangana assembly where state Chief Minister Revanth Reddy directly made nasty comments on the actor. Now, Pawan Kalyan has spoken up on the matter and taken a stand for Pushpa-star. ## Speaking about the issue, PK said "Every actor wants to watch their film on the big screen with fans and know their reaction and also have the right and interest to greet their fans.
