Gal Gadot To Return As Wonder Woman In DCEU's 'Shazam! Fury Of The Gods'!
Los Angeles, December 18 - A sequel to DC's 2019 hit, Shazam!, is currently under development, titled, Shazam! Fury Of The Gods, for 2023 release. It is one of the most exciting upcoming films within the DC Extended Universe (DCEU), which includes films like The Batman, Black Adam, The Flash, and Aquaman: The Lost Kingdom, scheduled to hit theaters in 2022. ## "Shazam", meanwhile, is considered as one of the best and most beloved films within DCEU, and one of the reasons for that is the last shot of the film, where Billy powers up and joins Freddy for lunch as promised, however, he ends up bringing along a friend, Superman, who wasn't actually Henry Cavill suited up. ## It was earlier reported that the Shazam sequel would feature a trio of villainous sisters as adversaries to the titular hero. Then it was revealed that Helen Mirren will be playing the oldest sister, Hespera daughter of Atlas, along with Lucy Liu, and Rachel Zegler. Lucy Liu playing Kalypso who is the second daughter of Atlas, while Zegler will be playing the mysterious third daughter.## And now, according to Illuminerdi, Gal Gadot will be making her presence in the highly-anticipated sequel as Wonder Woman. ## Wonder Woman making a cameo appearance in Shazam! Fury Of The Gods makes sense. It looks like Shazam and the Shazam Fam will be taking on three daughters of Atlas, which could have some connection to Shazam possessing the stamina of Atlas. Wonder Woman herself is entwined with the Old Gods being the daughter of Zeus, king of the old gods.## There is a possibility that Gal Gadot's cameo role as Wonder Woman in the Shazam sequel could set up the stage for the third film in the Wonder Woman franchise, which is currently in the scripting stage and likely to go on floors in 2023. ## Shazam: Fury of The Gods is currently set to release in theaters on June 2, 2023.## Stay tuned...
