Bangalore, October 17 - The long-awaited Kannada action-thriller film, Kotigobba 3 was released in theaters on October 15 and roaring at the box office. The movie was supposed to hit screens a day before on October 14 but due to financial issues between producer Soorappa Babu and distributors, the makers postponed it to the next day. ## Despite the delayed release, Kotigobba 3 is well received by the audiences as it earned Rs. 11.05 crores in the first two days at the box office. Bangalore, October 14 - The big-ticket Kannada film, Kotigobba 3 starring Kichcha Sudeepa was all set to release worldwide today on October 14. However, the financial issues between the producer and distributors played a spoilsport as the morning shows for the film got canceled.## Reportedly, the film's producer, Soorappa Babu, hasn't paid one of the film's financiers because of which the early morning shows have been canceled. This unfortunate situation left Kichcha's fans in anger as they raised slogans demanding the immediate release of the film and refused to leave theaters.## Now, Kichcha Sudeepa released a statement asking his fans to be patient and not damage the theatres. The actor also apologizes for the negligence from the cornered people and promised that his future films will not see such chaotic releases. Bengaluru, August 12, 2021: The Kannada movie, which has made the nation go crazy, KGF: Chapter 2 has been waiting for its release for a long time now. The fans of Yash are eager to watch this magnum opus on the big screen and their wait is getting longer, all because of the covid-19 pandemic. Despite the delay in release, the movie is creating the right amount of buzz, and it has been building up with each passing day. ## While the covid-19 situation is easing up across the country, the fact that still haunts everyone is the announcement of the KGF Chapter 2 final release date. Makers, however, had already reiterated that the sequel to the 2018 movie won't budge from its theatrical release, despite the warning of a possible third covid-19 wave. ## Meanwhile, the streaming platforms are keeping their eyes on this biggie and are offering tempting amounts to the makers for the direct-to-digital release of the movie. The makers, on Saturday (July 31), unveiled the first look poster of Jacquline as Gadang Rakkamma from the film that stars Kichcha Sudeep in the lead role. ## Written and directed by Anup Bhandari, Jacquline Fernandez will feature in an extended cameo appearance in the movie while Nirup Bhandari and debutante Neetha Ashok stars in the lead roles. Although he has been busy with acting commitments, Rakshit has often mentioned that he has been working on the script of his next, and now, there's the official confirmation. ## The star actor will be making his directorial comeback after almost 7 years with "Richard Anthony - Lord Of The Sea". He has written the script and will also be playing the lead role as Richard Anthony. The movie will be produced by Vijay Kiragandur under their banner Hombale Films. It is Hombale Films' 10th movie. ## Speaking about the film, Rakshit said, "When I was making Ulidavaru Kandante, I didn't have an idea that there would be a prequel or sequel to it. One thing that people did tell me, though, was that they wanted to know more about its central character, Richie. I know there are many unanswered questions in Ulidavaru Kandante. This film will be more linear in its narrative and can be termed as both a prequel and sequel of sorts. Bengaluru, June 14, 2021: National Award-winning Kannada Actor, Sanchari Vijay, has been died after an accident. The actor met with an accident while he was returning home from his friend's place on June 12. He was moved to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Apollo Hospital in Bengaluru, where he was declared brain dead today on June 14. ## Sanchari's family has decided to donate his organs in light of the irreversible brain damage. A statement from Apollo Hospital in Bengaluru said, "Neurologically he is deeply unconscious and is showing signs of brain failure. The family had come forward and consented to organ donation keeping in view the current irreversible brain damage. We will follow the guidelines as per organ donation protocol". ## Sanchari Vijay made his debut with the film Rangappa Hogbitna in 2011. He has appeared in a slew of Kannada films including Dasavala, Harivu, Oggarane, Killing Veerappan, Varthamana, and Sipaayi among others. The actor won the National Award for his role as a transgender in his 2015 movie, Naanu Avanalla Avalu. ## Kannada superstar, Kichcha Sudeep took to Twitter and announced the news of Sanchari Vijay and paid tribute to the young actor who gone too soon. The KGF star has decided to donate a sum of Rs. 1.50 crores to the workers of the Kannada film industry, who become jobless as there is no shoot due to the lockdown. ## As a great gesture, Yash will be donating a sum of Rs. 5000 to each of the 3000 industry workers in their personal bank accounts. The actor has launched his own ambulance service, called Project Smile Trust, to ferry covid-19 patients to hospitals amid the shortage of ambulance service in Karnataka state which is witnessing a huge surge in coronavirus cases. ## Apart from taking patients to hospitals, the actor has also decided to help in carrying out the final rites of those who have lost their lives due to the virus. ## "I've been on the road for a couple of days and I've already helped out around half a dozen people with assistance for final rites. In a view of the rise of the covid-19 cases, the Karnataka government has decided to take the necessary actions to control the situation and announced some stringent guidelines which came into effect yesterday. As per these new guidelines, only 50% of the seating capacity in movie theatres will be allowed, which has certainly come as a big shocker to the owners of movie theatres, producers, and actors.## On April 2nd, Puneeth Rajkumar starrer "Yuvarathnaa" was released and doing very well at the box office across all the theaters of Karnataka. However, with new guidelines for theaters, the viewership of Yuvarathnaa will surely get affected. Yesterday, Puneeth Rajkumar and director Santosh Ananddram, came live on Facebook and urged the state government to withdraw the 50% occupancy rule in theatres. ## Puneeth questioned the government as to why the stringent rules are just for movie theatres. "When we see, in election campaign meetings, people everywhere gathering, but we can't see any such rules there, why it is only for us?" the actor asked. ## Director Santosh said, "Without giving any hint, or information if such decisions are taken then where should the producers go? We have just released our film and it is really doing well. Now, what will happen to us?" He also made a point that "All the necessary precautions like wear face masks and sanitizing hands will be followed strictly". ## Yuvarathnaa did well and earned 10.05 crores gross on its opening day. It simultaneously releases in Telugu and Kannada.
