Mumbai, April 18 - Maverick filmmaker, Joe Russo who has worked on a few record-breaking Marvel movies with his brother Anthony Russo, has heaped high praise on SS Rajamouli's Oscar-winning period action drama film RRR and India being a major market for the world cinema. ## In a conversation with the Hollywood website, Deadline at an International festival in Scotland, Joe Russo heaped praise for Rajamouli's RRR and said, "Certainly a more diverse version and one that's more international", adding that RRR has given huge exposure to the Indian films in international markets. ## "Bollywood, for instance, is one of the more significant film businesses in the world but it has extremely minimal exposure outside of India. Thank God for movies like RRR, using a level of technical genius, visual effects, and mythological storytelling to appeal to a much wider audience. Hyderabad, April 18 - Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan has officially been confirmed on board superstar Jr. NTR's Pan India movie, called NTR 30. Directed by Koratala Siva, the film recently commenced filming with NTR, who is reportedly playing a duel role, joining the first schedule.## Saif Ali Khan is on board to play the lead antagonist in this high-voltage action drama. It was first reported in late 2022 that the "Tanhaji" actor would be the villain in the film, however, rumours surfaced online recently that he has declined the role. Hyderabad, April 17 - Lady superstar Samantha Ruth Prabhu's big-budget fantasy mythological drama film Shaakuntalam has turned out to be a major disappointment at the box office everywhere. ## The movie, directed by Gunasekhar, is based on a popular play Abhignyana Shakuntalam by Kalidasa. Samantha plays the titular role while Dev Mohan features as Dushyanta in the film which was billed as a Disneyfied adventure like never before. ## Made on a budget of around 70 crores, Shaakuntalam was one of the most anticipated films at the time it was announced and was also carrying huge expectations as far as the box office is concerned. However, as seen with other films, the long delay in production made it a less exciting film. ## There wasn't much excitement among the audiences around the release of the film, however, it was still expected to fetch a good opening considering Samantha's presence but it didn't happen as it took one of the lowest starts of just approx. 3.20 crores gross for a Telugu movie featuring a prominent star. ## The critics as well as the general audience came hard at it and called the film a painful watch for not doing justice to the popular play. After such poor reviews, the hope of growing at the box office over the weekend also got blurred as it made only around 6.70 crores gross domestically in all languages. ## The overseas collection is also poor with around 2 crores for the total worldwide collection of approx. 8.70 crores. Producer Dil Raju Confirms A Mythology Film Featuring Prabhas With Director Prashanth Neel

Hyderabad, April 11 - Telugu producer Dil Raju is reportedly planning a big-budget mythology trilogy with some of the biggest stars of Indian cinema and he has confirmed one with Prabhas in the lead under the direction of Prashanth Neel. ## It was recently reported that Prabhas and Prashanth Neel would be reuniting for a mythological epic, titled Ravanam. Confirming the same, Dil Raju revealed in an interview with Pinkvilla that Neel has already locked the script with Prabhas headlining it. ## "Prashanth Neel has finalized a script and we are planning it with Prabhas. The two are already working together on Salaar. After Salaar, Prashanth has a commitment with NTR, so maybe post the NTR film, Prashanth will commence work on this project. Hyderabad, April 11 - Telugu superstar Ram Charan's romantic-comedy Orange (2010) has done very well upon its limited re-release. Directed by Bhaskar, Orange was a disaster in its original run, however, it later gained a cult status and has been people's favorite. ## It was recently re-released on limited screens on the occasion of Ram Charan's birthday, and thanks to the immense popularity it gained over the years, Orange did really well as it grossed approx. 3.50 crores. In Telugu states, it grossed approx. 3.15 crores and turned successful. ## Orange re-release took the opening of approx. 1.40 crores worldwide and remains steady over the week to post good numbers for an occasional release. Hyderabad, April 8 - Natural star Nani and Keerthy Suresh-fronted period action drama film Dasara has crossed the 100 crores gross mark at the worldwide box office, becoming the first film of Nani to reach the milestone. ## Directed by Srikanth Odela, Dasara crossed the 100 crores mark on its 8th day and has so far grossed approx. 106 crores worldwide (10 days). At the domestic box office, the movie has minted approx. 86 crores, including approx. 68 crores in Telugu states. ## Dasara was a multi-lingual release, however, it failed to create any impact other than the Telugu language in which it has so far collected approx. 80 crores gross while other languages have contributed around 6 crores gross. ## At the overseas box office, Dasara has scored around 20 crores gross so far. Ram Charan Was Not The First Choice of Director Shankar For 'Game Changer'

Hyderabad, April 6 - Telugu superstar Ram Charan is busy with the shooting of his much-awaited political action thriller film Game Changer with director Shankar. However, it has now been revealed that Charan wasn't his first choice for the movie. ## During a recent interview with Mirchi9, producer Dil Raju revealed that director Shankar wanted to make the movie with superstar Pawan Kalyan. However, after listing the story for 45-minutes, Dil Raju told Shankar that Ram Charan would be the perfect fit for the role and that's how he came on board RC15, now a "Game Changer".## Written by Karthik Subbaraj and screenplay penned by Shankar, "Game Changer" in the last leg of shoot and it will soon be wrapped up. Ram Charan plays the protagonist while Kiara Advani is the leading lady along with S. J. Suryah, among others in key roles.## The movie marks Shankar's debut in Telugu cinema. The release date is not announced yet but reports say it will either release on Christmas 2023 or March/April 2024.
