Mumbai, April 20 - Filmmaker Rohit Shetty has joined forces with the leading OTT platform, Amazon Prime Video to take his cop universe to digital. After giving blockbuster feature films in this highly popular franchise, Shetty is now trying his hands in the cop-drama web series. ## The series, titled "Indian Police Force", will be headed by Sidharth Malhotra, who is the new addition to the filmmaker's cop world. The shooting for the same has already begun and it will be an 8-episode high-octane actioner. Mumbai, March 31 - Ranveer Singh-fronted sports biopic, "83" has had an impressive debut on Netflix after completing its theatrical run. The Kabir Khan-directed lent in the top 5 most-watched non-English movies on Netflix worldwide. ## "83" movie was released in theaters worldwide on December 24 last year and was recently made available on OTT platforms - Disney Plus Hotstar and Netflix on March 21. In its opening week (March 21 - March 27) on Netflix, the movie got 10.5 million viewing hours and was the 4th most-watched movie on the streamer. ## Based on India's maiden cricket world cup triumph in 1983, "83" has been trending in the top 10 films in 20 countries. Among the Asian countries, the movie is the number 1 on Netflix in India, apart from Bahrain, Bangladesh, Maldives, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Sri Lanka, United Arab Emirates. It is also the number 1 movie in Africa's Mauritius. ## Meanwhile, the Swedish action thriller film, "Black Crab", which was released on March 18 directly on Netflix, garnered a massive 40.5 million viewing hours and remained the number 1 non-English movie on Netflix during the same week. "In Good Hands" and "Without Saying Goodbye" were number 2 and 3 with 28.93M and 13.85M viewing hours, respectively. ## Moving on to "83", the movie has had a decent outing at the box office. During its theatrical run, it grossed approx. 193 crores worldwide, however, due to the high stake involved in it, the movie was declared a box office flop. Mumbai, March 17 - There is good news for the fans of "Kung Fu Panda". Netflix, one of the leading streaming platforms, has greenlit an animated "Kung Fu Panda" series with "Jumanji" actor, Jack Black, roped in to voice the main character, Po, reports Variety. ## Jack Black is not new in voicing Po in the "Kung Fu Panda" film franchise. He first lent his voice in the original "Kung Fu Panda" film in 2008, before reprising his role in "Kung Fu Panda 2" in 2011 and "Kung Fu Panda 3" in 2016. It is one of the highest-grossing animated film franchises with three films grossing $1.8 billion at the worldwide box office. ## Meanwhile, the Netflix series is titled "Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight", in which, a mysterious pair of weasels set their sights on a collection of four powerful weapons. Po must leave his home to embark on a globe-trotting quest for redemption and justice that finds him partnered up with a no-nonsense English knight named Wandering Blade. ## Together, these two mismatched warriors set out on an epic adventure to find the magical weapons first and save the world from destruction — and they may even learn a thing or two from each other along the way, as per Variety. Mumbai, March 11 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar was supposed to commence the shooting for his Amazon Prime Video series "The End" this year, but it seems the series is getting delayed further. ## Prime Video has announced "The End" with Akshay in 2019, during an event in Mumbai. But, before it could go on floors, the coronavirus pandemic hit the country and it was delayed indefinitely. Last year, Vikram Malhotra of Abundantia Entertainment, the co-producer of the series, said in an interview that it would go on floors by early 2022. ## However, with development yet, Akshay Kumar has now said that it is delayed to the next year as the makers are not happy with the screenplay. "We were going to start this year but we were not satisfied with the screenplay. Amazon was not satisfied, so we are still working on it and if everything goes well, we should start by next year's beginning", said Akshay during the media interaction.## Meanwhile, the actor is busy promoting his upcoming romantic action comedy film, "Bachchhan Paandey", which is slated to release in theaters on March 18.
