Mumbai, February 28 - The teaser of superstar Salman Khan-fronted action drama Sikandar has taken the internet by storm with huge viewership across social media platforms. Directed by A.R. Murugadoss, the teaser was launched on February 27 ahead of the film's Eid release.## According to the makers, the teaser of Sikandar has generated 65+ million views across social media platforms in the first 24 hours. On YouTube, it has scored 28+ million views as one of the most-watched Bollywood teasers in the first full day of release. ## The response to the teaser has been mixed to positive, as has been the case with Salman Khan films. The action-packed promo, however, has generated the much-needed hype for the film which is expected to be a big starter at the box office upon its release on Eid 2025, likely on March 30. ## Sikandar marks Salman Khan's maiden collaboration with director Murugadoss and it has been one of the keenly-anticipated collabs. Mumbai, February 28 - Vicky Kaushal-fronted Chhaava has had an excellent second week at the box office, scoring approximately 180 crores net collection. The movie witnessed a drop of just around 17% which is remarkable, to say the least. ## The historical action drama wasn't too far behind the all-time biggest second-week grosser, Allu Arjun-led Pushpa 2 - The Rule which minted 196.50 crores net in Hindi in December last year. Prabhas-starrer Baahubali 2 The Conclusion ranks third in the second week in Hindi with 143.25 crores net collection.## Through the second week (14 days), Chhaava has scored approximately 399 crores net collection and is currently the 9th biggest Hindi grosser of all time. The movie, however, has faced challenges which led to rumours of its getting shelved. ## Ranveer Singh hasn't been in the best of form at the box office and there is negativity around his casting for the role of Don which delays the production. Over the past few months, there have been rumours that Don 3 has been shelved, but director Akhtar has an exciting update for the fans. ## During a recent interview with India Today, Farhan Akhtar put rumours to rest and confirmed that the movie is on and starting shooting this year itself. Earlier, the action drama was supposed to start rolling in 2024 but due to other commitments of Farhan and Ranveer, the movie couldn't start back then.## Earlier last year, Akhtar Excel Entertainment issued a statement stating that the makers and Ranveer Singh are on the same page and that the timelines of Don 3 remain unchanged, denying the postponement rumours. Mumbai, February 26 - Maddock Films' historical action drama Chhaava climbs to new heights at the global box office, becoming the first Indian movie of 2025 to cross 500 crores gross collection. The film took only 12 days, one of the fastest Hindi language films to achieve the milestone. ## Chhaava has grossed approximately 435 crores domestically and an estimated 75 crores overseas for around 510 worldwide gross total in 12 days. It is by far the biggest Indian grosser of the year, almost 2x of the second-best, Sankranthiki Vasthunam which grossed 250+ crores globally. ## It is the highest-grossing historical epic at the Indian box office and will soon top Padmaavat to become the biggest Indian grosser globally in this genre. For Vicky Kaushal, Chhaava is his first 500 crores worldwide grosser, beating his previous highest grosser, URI: The Surgical Strike (342 crores).## Actress Rashmika Mandanna, who has been the poster girl of Indian cinemas lately, scored her third consecutive 500 crores grosser, after Pushpa 2 (1740+ crores) and Animal (915 crores gross). Mumbai, February 25 - After going through a dry period of nearly 5 years, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan made a roaring comeback with Yash Raj Films' spy action thriller Pathaan in 2023. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film emerged as a massive blockbuster, grossing over 1000 crores at the worldwide box office. ## Pathaan is a part of YRF's Spy Universe and its mega-success almost confirmed the sequel. A few months after the movie's release in January 2023, it was reported that producer Aditya Chopra was working on the script of Pathaan 2. Now, a new update has emerged regarding the same. ## According to the report by Peepingmoon.com, Aditya Chopra has locked the script of the sequel which is designed not only to carry forward Pathaan's story but also to lay the groundwork for larger conflicts in upcoming instalments of YRF's Spy Universe. It was due to the extensive planning and intricate storytelling that the scripting process took so long.## The script, written by Sridhar Raghavan and Abbas Tyrewala with Chopra, promises to surpass the first film in both scale and intensity. Aditya has also taken inputs from SRK for the Pathaan 2 script and the superstar is said to be super impressed with the way the sequel is heading. ## The director for the same is not locked yet. Reports suggest that Anand would not return to direct the sequel. There have been rumours that Ayan Mukerji, who is currently directing YRF's War 2 starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR, might take on the directorial duty of Pathaan 2 as well, but nothing has been confirmed yet. ## The shoot of Pathaan 2 will commence early next year after SRK completes filming of the action thriller King, to be directed by Sidharth Anand. The movie got impacted by the India vs Pakistan cricket match but it still scored one of the biggest second Sundays in Hindi. ## According to early estimates, the historical action drama scored in the range of 40 crores net collection on the second Sunday (10th day), dropping around 10% from Saturday. According to the latest report by Peepingmoon, the project has officially been confirmed and is set to go on floors next month, in March. ## John Abraham will headline this yet-untitled film and will play the role of Maria whose career was defined by his involvement in some of the nation’s most sensitive and high-stakes cases. The film promises to be an electrifying cinematic experience, seamlessly blending gritty realism with Shetty’s signature flair for high-octane, larger-than-life storytelling. ## The film is based on Rakesh Maria's 2020 memoir, Let Me Say It Now. Mumbai, February 22 - The third instalment of the crime suspense thriller Drishyam is starting sooner than expected. A couple of days ago, Malayalam superstar Mohanlal officially confirmed Drishyam 3 with director Jeethu Joseph, and now, an update regarding the Hindi version of the film has emerged. ## According to the report by Pinkvilla, Ajay Devgn is reuniting with director Abhishek Pathak for Drishyam 3. It is said that Ajay was committed to doing some other movies but now, he has put the third movie of the franchise to the front. The shoot will commence in August this year. ## While not clarified in the report, it can be assumed that both Malayalam, which is the origin of the franchise and the Hindi version will be shot simultaneously, as reported last year.
