Mumbai, October 6 - It was recently revealed that Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is playing a cameo in Varun Dhawan-fronted action thriller Baby John, directed by Tamil director Kalees. The movie is produced by Atlee with Murad Khetani and Jio Studios.## According to the report by Pinkvilla, the cameo of Salman Khan who is said to be playing a cop is being shot today (October 6) in Mumbai. It is a two-day shoot schedule with Salman and the big news is that Atlee is himself directing this important sequence of the movie. ## "While Baby John is helmed by Kalees, the cameo of Salman Khan, alongside the combination scenes with Varun Dhawan is being directed by Atlee himself. In fact, the entire cameo sequence of Salman is written, conceptualized and executed by Atlee. The sequence has dialogues, action and a fun camaraderie between Salman and Varun Dhawan. That's not all, a grand entry too has been designed keeping the larger-than-life aura of Salman in mind", says the report.## This is the first time Atlee is directing Salman Khan before the duo team up for a full-fledged movie next year. Mumbai, October 4 - Folk horror thriller Tumbbad triumphs in its re-release run domestically. It has been a standout performer among all the re-release titles at the Indian box office and has emerged as the biggest repeat gross ever. ## Directed by Rahi Anil Barve and produced by Sohum Shah, Tumbbad has completed 3 weeks (21 days) of its repeat run and has scored approximately 29 crores net collection (34.25 crores gross). In its third week, the film minted around 4.50 crores net which is fantastic as it faced competition from Devara apart from the holdover Stree 2.## Earlier, the Tumbbad re-release had scored 13.15 crores net in the first week, followed by 11.40 crores net in the second week. Mumbai, October 2 - Kartik Aaryan's hugely-anticipated horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has reportedly fetched a career biggest non-theatrical deal for the actor. Directed by Anees Bazmee, the third instalment of the blockbuster franchise is gearing up for Diwali 2024 release. ## According to the report by Pinkvilla, the digital, satellite, and music rights of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 have been sold to leading players for a sum of Rs 135 crore. Netflix has post-theatrical streaming rights to the movie while Sony Network has digital rights. ## Bhushan Kumar-led T-Series, which is producing the film with Cine1 Studio, has the music rights of BB3 and it is said that the company is bullish on fetching big profits from the music of the film, as the album has 5 super-hit songs.## Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has reportedly been made on a budget of around 150 crores and the makers have covered a large chunk of their budget with the pre-sale of non-theatrical rights only which is also said to be the biggest for a Kartik Aaryan-fronted. ## BB3 reunites Kartik with director Anees Bazmee after the second instalment which was a big box office success, grossing over 250 crores worldwide in 2022. Mumbai, September 29 - The second inning of folk horror comedy Tumbbad continues to get longer at the box office despite the competition. The movie has a good third-weekend collection which takes its total to around 50 crores gross (including the original run). ## Tumbbad re-released had an increased competition this weekend in the form of Jr. NTR-fronted Devara - Part 1 which was easily the number 1 at the Hindi box office. Despite that, the Rahi Anil Barve's directorial has done well to score around 2.60 crores net collection in the third weekend. ## On its third Friday, the movie minted approximately 55 lakh before jumping on Saturday for around 1 crore net. Mumbai, September 27 - One of the biggest Bollywood films of the year, director Rohit Shetty's Singham Again starring Ajay Devgn in the title role is set to get a wide release across international territories in November this year.## According to Variety, Phars Film (PHF) has acquired overseas rights for this cop action thriller which also stars Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor, and and Deepika Padukone in prominent roles. ## Phars Film has teamed with Moviegoers Entertainment to orchestrate the film's rollout across international territories, excluding the Middle East, which PHF will handle directly. The total re-release collection of the film after two weeks (14 days) is around 24.50 crores net (29 crore gross). ## Tummbad re-release has earned around 2X of its original collection (13.50 crores net) which is indeed a big achievement for a 6-year-old critically acclaimed film. Mumbai, September 26 - Maddock Films and Jio Studios' horror comedy Stree 2 has officially become the highest-grossing Hindi movie at the domestic box office, beating superstar Shah Rukh Khan's action thriller Jawan. ## Starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, the mega-blockbuster crossed Jawan (582.31 crores net) on its 6th Thursday (43rd day) to become the new box office king in Hindi. It is, in fact, now the biggest single-language grosser at the Indian box office. ## Jawan, however, remains the biggest Bollywood grosser of all time in India with 640 crores net collection in all versions. Stree is not expected to beat Jawan and is likely to finish its run of around 600 crores net collection, which is anyway a monstrous achievement to have. ## Stree 2 has been a on dream run since its debut on August 15.
