Mumbai, March 1 - The Bollywood film industry has delivered some of the biggest Indian blockbusters of all time over the last few years but it was Pushpa 2 - The Rule, a Telugu-origin Pan India tentpole, which came as a tsunami to sweep the homeland of Hindi film industry, Maharashtra. ## The Allu Arjun-fronted action drama not only emerged as the biggest grosser ever in Maharashtra but also went on to become the all-time Hindi grosser, beating the original Hindi titles. It was a big win for the overall Indian film industry but at the same time, it became a mountain to climb for Hindi cinema. ## Well, two months later, one of the two aforementioned mighty records has been shattered by an original Hindi title named Chhaava, which was, interestingly, supposed to clash with Pushpa 2 originally before the better sense prevailed for the larger good. ## In a historical feat, Chhaava has outgrossed the lifetime total of Pushpa 2 in Maharashtra in just 15 days to reign supreme in the homeland. According to the tracked numbers, Chhaava has grossed 223+ crores in 15 days while Pushpa 2 had minted 216+ crores gross in its lifetime run in the state. ## This is an extraordinary achievement, something which was anticipated given the fact how dear the story of one of the greatest Maratha warriors Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj to the people of the state. Mumbai, March 1 - The blockbuster historical action drama Chhaava has beaten the mighty Pushpa 2 - The Rule on its third Friday at the Hindi box office. The Vicky Kaushal-fronted has also topped 400 crores net collection, becoming the 9th Hindi film ever to do so. ## The Allu Arjun-fronted action drama Pushpa 2 scored 11.30 crores net collection in December last year which was the biggest third Friday in Hindi before Chhaava outnumbered it with an estimated total of around 13 crores net which is now the biggest 3rd Friday box office collection in Hindi. ## Pushpa 2 went on to score around 58 crores net in the third weekend in Hindi. It needs to be seen how Chaava fairs on Saturday and Sunday but it is certain to come close and might beat Pushpa 2 to emerge the biggest third weekend grosser. ## The total collection of Chhaava is around 412 crores net through the third Friday (15 days), on the other hand, Pushpa 2 was miles ahead with 621 crores net in the same number of days. In another historic achievement, Chhaava (223+ crores gross) has beaten Pushpa 2's lifetime total (215+ crores gross) in Maharashtra in just 15 days to become the number 1 grosser in the state (note - tracked gross).## Interestingly, both the films were originally supposed to clash at the box office on December 5 before Maddock postponed Chhaava and the decision turned out to be a historic move. ## Stay tuned...

Murugadoss, the teaser was launched on February 27 ahead of the film's Eid release.## According to the makers, the teaser of Sikandar has generated 65+ million views across social media platforms in the first 24 hours. On YouTube, it has scored 28+ million views as one of the most-watched Bollywood teasers in the first full day of release. ## The response to the teaser has been mixed to positive, as has been the case with Salman Khan films. Box Office: 'Dragon' Scored A Huge First Week Worldwide

Chennai, February 28 - The Tamil film industry has its first Blockbuster in the form of a coming-of-age comedy-drama Dragon. The film is headlined by the rising Tamil star Pradeep Ranganathan who has also written the script with Ashwath Marimuthu. ## Directed by Ashwath Marimuthu, Dragon has completed its first week, grossing approximately 77.50 crores at the worldwide box office. This already makes it the second highest-grossing Tamil movie of 2025, behind only Ajith Kumar's Vidaamuyarchi (136 crores gross). ## Released on February 21, Dragon opened to super positive reviews and reception from the audience which led to the biggest opening for the actor with double-digit numbers worldwide. The movie showed impressive growth over the weekend and remained rock solid during the weekdays to put up huge box office numbers. ## In India, the film has grossed approximately 58 crores, including over 39.50 crores in Tamil Nadu alone. The movie has also emerged as a success in Telugu states with over 10.75 crores gross collection. Overseas, Dragon has minted approximately 19.50 crores for a worldwide cume total of 77.50 crores. ## Dragon is certain to enter the 100 crores gross club worldwide in the second weekend and may go on to top Vidaamuyarchi to become the biggest Tamil grosser of the year to date. The movie witnessed a drop of just around 17% which is remarkable, to say the least. ## The historical action drama wasn't too far behind the all-time biggest second-week grosser, Allu Arjun-led Pushpa 2 - The Rule which minted 196.50 crores net in Hindi in December last year. Prabhas-starrer Baahubali 2 The Conclusion ranks third in the second week in Hindi with 143.25 crores net collection.## Through the second week (14 days), Chhaava has scored approximately 399 crores net collection and is currently the 9th biggest Hindi grosser of all time. Mumbai, February 26 - Maddock Films' historical action drama Chhaava climbs to new heights at the global box office, becoming the first Indian movie of 2025 to cross 500 crores gross collection. The film took only 12 days, one of the fastest Hindi language films to achieve the milestone. ## Chhaava has grossed approximately 435 crores domestically and an estimated 75 crores overseas for around 510 worldwide gross total in 12 days. It is by far the biggest Indian grosser of the year, almost 2x of the second-best, Sankranthiki Vasthunam which grossed 250+ crores globally. ## It is the highest-grossing historical epic at the Indian box office and will soon top Padmaavat to become the biggest Indian grosser globally in this genre. For Vicky Kaushal, Chhaava is his first 500 crores worldwide grosser, beating his previous highest grosser, URI: The Surgical Strike (342 crores).## Actress Rashmika Mandanna, who has been the poster girl of Indian cinemas lately, scored her third consecutive 500 crores grosser, after Pushpa 2 (1740+ crores) and Animal (915 crores gross). Hyderabad, February 25 - Over the last few months, there have been reports of Pan India superstar Prabhas teaming up with Hanuman director Prasanth Varma for a big-budget film. The filmmaker also teased the collaboration in a recent interview without naming the actor. ## Now, the latest development is that the project in question has officially been confirmed. According to the latest Telugu media reports, the look test of Prabhas for the movie is scheduled for either Wednesday or Thursday in Hyderabad. ## It is said that Hombale Films will be producing this movie. The studio has signed a three-film deal (excluding Salaar Part 1) with Prabhas and reportedly, a film with director Prasanth Varma is one of them. The official confirmation, however, is yet to be made. ## There is no shooting timeline locked yet for Prabhas' movie with Varma but with the latest development, it looks like the film will start sooner than expected. Prabhas is currently shooting for director Hanu Raghavapudi's Fauji and Maruthi's The Raja Saab. Shah Rukh Khan's 'Pathaan 2' Script Locked; Shooting Details Revealed

Mumbai, February 25 - After going through a dry period of nearly 5 years, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan made a roaring comeback with Yash Raj Films' spy action thriller Pathaan in 2023. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film emerged as a massive blockbuster, grossing over 1000 crores at the worldwide box office. ## Pathaan is a part of YRF's Spy Universe and its mega-success almost confirmed the sequel. A few months after the movie's release in January 2023, it was reported that producer Aditya Chopra was working on the script of Pathaan 2. Now, a new update has emerged regarding the same. ## According to the report by Peepingmoon.com, Aditya Chopra has locked the script of the sequel which is designed not only to carry forward Pathaan's story but also to lay the groundwork for larger conflicts in upcoming instalments of YRF's Spy Universe. It was due to the extensive planning and intricate storytelling that the scripting process took so long.## The script, written by Sridhar Raghavan and Abbas Tyrewala with Chopra, promises to surpass the first film in both scale and intensity. Aditya has also taken inputs from SRK for the Pathaan 2 script and the superstar is said to be super impressed with the way the sequel is heading. ## The director for the same is not locked yet. Reports suggest that Anand would not return to direct the sequel. There have been rumours that Ayan Mukerji, who is currently directing YRF's War 2 starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR, might take on the directorial duty of Pathaan 2 as well, but nothing has been confirmed yet. ## The shoot of Pathaan 2 will commence early next year after SRK completes filming of the action thriller King, to be directed by Sidharth Anand. Mumbai, February 25 - Super superstar Salman Khan-fronted action drama Sikandar is the next big Bollywood release. It is directed by A.R. Murugadoss, marking his first collaboration with the Bollywood superstar. ## Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, Sikandar has been confirmed for the festive release on Eid 2025. Though the makers haven't announced the exact date yet, it has been revealed that the advance booking for the movie has started internationally with a March 30 release. ## Sikandar will be a Sunday release as Eid falls on Monday, making it the back-to-back Sunday launch for Salman Khan after Tiger 3.
