Salman Khan's 'Sikandar' Non-Theatrical Rights Locked

Mumbai, March 6 - Superstar Salman Khan's action drama Sikandar is one of the most-anticipated Bollywood movies. It is the first movie for the actor since YRF's Tiger 3 in November 2023, and there is genuine anticipation for the film which is directed by A. R. Murugadoss. ## The buzz around Sikandar is on the rise with each passing day and the same can be understood with the non-theatrical rights which has been locked. According to the reports, producer Sajid Nadiadwala has locked the film's non-theatrical rights for a very good sum of around 165 crores, which includes digital, satellite and music rights.## It is said that Netflix has secured the post-theatrical streaming rights of Sikandar on a base price of 85 crores and it can go higher up to 100 crores based on the film's box office performance. Zee Network has grabbed satellite rights for 50 crores while music rights are with Zee Music Company for 30 crores.## The budget of the movie is reportedly around 180 crores, excluding the remuneration of Salman Khan. This is a reasonable cost for a movie which has been mounted on a huge scale and with positive word of mouth, it is expected to set the box office on fire. ## Sikandar is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under the banner of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment It stars Salman Khan in the title role, alongside Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, Sathyaraj, Sharman Joshi, and Prateik Babbar. Los Angeles, March 5 - Marvel Studios' highly-awaited Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars are fast approaching their releases. Doomsday will be the first to release in 2026, followed by Secret Wars in 2027, and the Russo Brothers, who are set to direct both, have revealed the estimated runtime of both films. ## Speaking to Collider's Steve Weintraub for their upcoming film, The Electric State, the director duo teased the runtime of their high-profile Marvel blockbusters. Both films will be longer than most of the Marvel movies. The longest-running film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), Avengers: Endgame (182 minutes), was directed by Russos and it was their last MCU film.## Well, the upcoming Avengers movies may not necessarily be the longest films in the MCU but they are surely going to be the closest to the longest film as according to the directors, the first one (Doomsday) is two and a half, and the second one (Secret Wars) is three hours long.## Doomsday, which is scheduled to hit the big screen on May 1, 2026, will start filming this summer. As per Russos, it will be the most radical Marvel movie to date and the audience will be shocked to see it. It will revolve around Robert Downey Jr.'s Doctor Doom and will also involve the new Fantastic Four — Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon-Moss Bachrach along with other MCU stars.## The follow-up to Doomsday will be Secret Wars which begins filming next year and be released on May 7, 2027. The comeback of Russos in the MCU as director along with Downey Jr. in a different role has already raised the hype for both movies. Mumbai, March 5 - The rumours around director Atlee's big-budgeted film with superstar Salman Khan refuse to die except for the fact that it has been shelved, as per industry sources. The mega 2-hero film was supposed to set the box office on fire but not anymore. ## There have been many rumours regarding the shelving of Atlee's film with Salman. Since the movie was supposed to be a 2-hero epic, superstar Rajinikanth was reportedly in talks to come on board to join Salman. The temptation was also made to bring Kamal Haasan on board but nothing made to the cut.## Amid the reports that the film got shelved due to budget issues, the latest report by Pinkvilla revealed that it has been put on the back burner due to the unavailability of Rajinikanth because of the date issues. Kamal Haasan too wasn't sure about playing the second lead role, which, as per the report, was the role of the father of Salman's character.## Rajinikanth is currently shooting for Lokesh Kanagaraj's Coolie and he will next start Nelson's Jailer 2 soon, so was difficult to secure his dates for A6 in the immediate future. Since the project was supposed to have cost over 600 crores, the movie needed a big South superstar to justify this huge cost but things didn't fall in place.## Pinkvilla has denied the rumours of the project getting shelved due to budget. It is said that Salman Khan and Atlee were confident of getting either Rajini or Kamal Haasan to join the film which was also a demand of Sun Pictures and once that didn't happen, the duo decided to not proceed with the film for now and they might join hands in future for a different script. ## Meanwhile, A6 will now be made with superstar Allu Arjun who is fresh from the all-time blockbuster Pushpa 2 - The Rule. In 17 days so far, the historical action drama has grossed approximately 625 crores worldwide, including 548 crores gross in India. ## Chhaava has sold 2.17+ crores of tickets at the box office in 17 days which is the highest for an Indian film of 2025 so far. Hyderabad, March 3 - Superstar Jr. NTR has teamed up with director Prashanth Neel for a big-budgeted Pan India movie which recently commenced filming in Hyderabad. The movie is being produced by industry giant Mythri Movie Makers and NTR Arts on a huge budget. ## NTR-Neel's is one of the most anticipated Indian films in the making and as had been reported in the media, the movie's title has been confirmed as Dragon by the makers. During the success celebration of Tamil blockbuster Dragon, which is distributed by Mythri Movie Makers in Nizam and Ceded Area, the makers confirmed the title and also revealed a few more details. ## Producer Ravi Shankar confirmed that NTRNeel is titled Dragon and it is a unique script that hasn't been seen in Indian cinema before. He also said that it will be released in international languages and showed confidence in the movie's box office performance, saying "sky is the limit". ## Dragon was announced for Sankranthi 2026 release and producer Ravi Shankar reiterated the commitment of the team to bring the film as scheduled. The movie reportedly features Rukmani Vasanth as the female lead alongside Tovino Thomas in a prominent role. Chennai, March 3 - Actor-filmmaker Pradeep Ranganathan is taking giant steps towards becoming the next big thing in Tamil cinema after scoring his maiden 100 crores grosser in the form of Dragon which is his only second film as a lead actor. The first film, Love Today (2022) was also a huge blockbuster but missed out on 100 crores gross by a small margin. ## Directed by Ashwath Marimuthu, the coming-of-age comedy-drama has been a box-office triumph since the day it was released on February 21. On the back of positive reviews and reception from the audience, Dragon scored a big opening and showed a stronghold during weekdays. ## The film entered the second weekend after one of the biggest first-week collections for a young hero and on its 10th day, it entered the 100 crores club at the worldwide box office. In India, the movie has grossed approximately 84 crores, including around 57 crores in Tamil Naud while overseas collection is approximately 25 crores for the global 10 days' total of 109 crores gross. ## Dragon is only the second Tamil movie after Ajith Kumar's Vidaamuyarchi (136 crores gross) and the 7th Indian title of 2025 to enter the 100 crores club. Of $2 billion, the sequel has grossed $1.96 billion in China alone which is already the biggest total ever in a single market.## In its box office journey so far, Ne Zha 2 has consistently delivered the biggest single-day collections of all time. Made on a budget of $80 million, the film is showing no sign of slowing down and is very much on course to break more records in days to come. ## Ne Zha 2 is certain to finish among the top 5 biggest grossers in the worldwide box office history. Mumbai, March 2 - Maddock Films' historical action drama Chhaava heads for a record third weekend at the Hindi box office after the biggest Saturday ever.## The Vicky Kaushal-fronted, with approximately 22 crores net collection, has beaten the mighty Pushpa 2 - The Rule (20 crores net) on the third Saturday to record the biggest third Saturday in Hindi. Earlier, the film had also scored the biggest 3rd Friday beating the same film. ## The third weekend of Chhaava is heading for 60+ crores net which will be the biggest ever in Hindi. Meanwhile, the total collection of the film through Saturday is approximately 434.50 crores or 519.50 crores gross.
