12th Fail Crosses 50 Crores Gross At The Worldwide Box Office
Mumbai, November 22 - Filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra's biographical drama film 12th Fail has emerged as a sleeper hit at the box office. The film starring Vikrant Massey is continuing with a steady run at the domestic box office. ## At the time of the film's release on October 27, not many people were aware of it but the super positive word of mouth spread like wildfire. It has grossed approximately 49.75 crores at the worldwide box office and as I type this, the movie has crossed the 50 crores mark. ## "12th Fail" was made on a budget of around 20 crores, and crossing 50 crores gross worldwide is a big achievement. In India, the movie has grossed approximately 47.50 crores in 26 days while overseas collection is approximately 2.25 crores. ## The film is based on the 2019 eponymous non-fiction book by Anurag Pathak about the real-life story of Manoj Kumar Sharma who overcame extreme poverty to become an Indian Police Service officer.
