Mumbai, May 4 - Yash Raj Films is reportedly working on a female-led spy action thriller film with Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone. Both Katrina and Deepika have been an important part of YRF's Spy Universe and now, the studio is planning to make a proper big-budget film, revolving around their characters in this blockbuster universe. ## Katrina has played the role of ISI agent Zoya in the two Salman Khan-fronted "Tiger" movies in YRF's Spy Universe while Deepika was introduced in Shah Rukh Khan-led "Pathaan" in which she played the role of ISI agent Rubai. ## The details regarding the project have been kept under wraps for now. The timeline regarding where the movie will fit in Spy Universe is also not known yet. It is in early development and will take time before going on the floors. ## Meanwhile, the next film in YRF's Spy Universe is Salman Khan-fronted "Tiger 3" which releases this Diwali in multiple languages. The events of "Tiger 3" will lead to Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR-starrer "War 2" which will start filming in November this year. The movie was released in October of last year in Japan, and even after 6 months, it is playing in a handful of cinemas. ## A great example of "RRR's" longevity at the Japan box office is that it scored the biggest Monday collection on May 1, which was the 193rd day since its release. No one had thought "RRR" to come this long way, and now, Japan has become the highest-grossing overseas market for film. ## The movie has so far grossed about $14.30 million in 197 days in Japan. Thompson, the sequel to "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" (2018) will see Miles go on an adventure with Gwen Stacy / Spider-Woman across the multiverse where he meets a new team of Spider-People, known as the Spider-Society, but comes into conflict with them over handling a new threat. ## Now, it has been revealed that "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse" will be the longest-running Hollywood animated movie of all time. Mumbai, May 3 - After the debacle box office performance of "Vikram Vedha", Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan is hoping to turn the tide with Fighter, co-starring Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor, which is currently in production for January 2024 release. ## Directed by Siddharth Anand, "Fighter" is shaping up nicely and is among the most anticipated Indian movies at the moment. The aerial action thriller is being shot on a huge scale on par with Hollywood action films. The plot details have been kept under wraps for now but "Fighter" is already being seen as a huge money spinner for the makers. ## After "Fighter", Hrithik is in no mood to turn his head away from big-scale action entertainers as he has locked action-packed blockbusters for the next few years. Most of the shoot of "Fighter" is already completed and the makers are hoping to wrap it by June. Los Angeles, May 3 - The finale of Marvel Studios' Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy by director James Gunn is hitting the big screen this Friday (May 5) and the movie is expected to start the summer box office with a bang. ## According to Hollywood trade experts, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is projected to open around $110 million - $120 million in its 3-day domestic (North America) opening weekend. This can be termed as an underwhelming start as "GoTG2" opened at $146 million in 2017. ## While the critics' reviews are decent for the third installment, the poor performance of the recent Marvel movies can be seen affecting the opening of "GoTG3" which is being hailed as the best Marvel movie since "Avengers: Endgame" (2019). ## Internationally, the superhero movie is expected to score around $140 million - $150 million over a 5-day opening weekend. The worldwide opening of the film is projected to be around $250 million - $270 million. It cost over $200 million to make, according to Variety. ## The last few Marvel movies haven't performed to their potential, especially "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania", which despite the biggest opening in the "Ant-Man" franchise, ended up as the lowest-grossing film in the series with a worldwide gross collection finishing below $500 million mark. Chennai, May 2 - The Kolar Gold Fields (KGF) has inspired South Indian filmmakers to make larger-than-life films against its backdrop. ## Yash-fronted "KGF" is already a record-breaking film franchise and there is Chiyaan Vikram-starrer "Thangalaan" is currently in the making, based on the true events that revolve around the lives of mine workers in the Kolar Gold Fields.## Now, Tamil director Vetrimaaran is reportedly working on a story set against the KGF backdrop and is likely to reunite with Dhanush for the same. The duo has already worked together on some of the most critically hailed films like Polladhavan, Aadukalam, Vada Chennai, and Asuran. ## Producer KE Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green, producer of "Thangalaan", has reportedly confirmed a new KGF-based film with Vetrimaaran and Dhanush (according to indiaherald.com). "On the basis of his historical research and results, he (Vetrimaaran) will create a movie. And based on the study he conducted, Pa Ranjith completed Thangalaan, according to Gnanavel. ## The movie in question, however, is unlikely to start anytime soon as Vetrimaaran already has a couple of films in the pipeline. Chennai, May 1 - Mani Ratnam's period action drama film Ponniyin Selvan - Part 2 is having another excellent day at the domestic box office with an estimated 25+ crores gross collection in all versions on the card. ## In the 3-day opening weekend, "PS-2" grossed a solid around 173 crores worldwide, including approx. 95 crores domestically. With today's collection, it has crossed the 100 crore gross as well as net mark in India and 200 crore gross worldwide, becoming the 3rd Tamil movie of the year to do so.## "PS-2" has taken 4 days to hit a double century at the worldwide box office while the first part "PS-1", which was released in September last year, took 3 days to get there. The 4-day total of "PS-2" should be around 210 crores (120 crores domestic+90 crores overseas) which was the first three days of collection of "PS-1". ## Despite taking one extra day than its predecessor, "PS-2" is very much on track to breach 400 crores worldwide gross, and with better reviews than "PS-1", it also has a chance to get near to the first part which grossed around 490 crores in its lifetime run. ## "PS-2" wasn't a hugely hyped second part of a movie unlike "Baahubali 2", "KGF 2", and the upcoming "Pushpa 2". Mil Gaya (2003) have combined grossed around 600 crores worldwide. ## The last film in the franchise, Krrish 3 was released way back in 2013 and since then, the fans have been waiting for the 4th installment to unfold. The makers announced Krrish 4 in 2016 with a release planned for Christmas 2018.## It has been a long time since the movie was announced but it hasn't taken off. The covid-19 pandemic further delayed the plans, but now, it seems the movie is finally moving forward and is getting ready to commence filming in 2024. ## According to Peepingmoon.com, producer and the creator of Krrish, Rakesh Roshan has roped in director Karan Malhotra to helm the fourth installment of the Krrish franchise. Hrithik and Karan had previously worked together in the blockbuster "Agneepath" (2012). ## Rakesh Roshan has locked in the basic plot to take the story forward and is currently working on the screenplay with a team of writers. Karan Malhotra will soon join the team and jointly work with the filmmaker to bring out a visual spectacle to the audience. ## Rakesh Roshan previously said that "Krrish 4" will set new standards for the superhero genre in India. Mumbai, May 1 - Superstar Salman Khan-fronted family action drama film, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaaan has crossed the 100 crores net collection. ## Directed by Farhad Samji, KKBKKJ should have entered the 100 crore club in the opening week itself, but due to the poor reviews and mixed word of mouth, the movie couldn't get going after the Eid holiday period. ## The film crossed the 100 crores mark on its 10th day, after scoring approx. 4.35 crores net on its second Sunday. It has become the 3rd Bollywood movie of 2023 to reach this box office milestone after Shah Rukh Khan's "Pathaan" and Ranbir Kapoor's "Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar". ## "Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan", produced by Salman Khan Films and Zee Studios, is the 106th Bollywood movie of all time and the 16th of Salman Khan to enter the 100 crores club. Salman Khan has now the highest number of films in the coveted box office club, surpassing Akshay Kumar who has 15 films in the 100 crores club. ## Meanwhile, at the worldwide box office, KKBKKJ has reached approx. 164 crores gross, including approx. 45 crores overseas box office collection.
