It was originally scheduled for a 2019 release but was delayed to June 26, 2020, in order to shoot several complex action sequences. 2020 was the year when the covid-19 pandemic gripped the world and the delay in the release was inevitable. ## The makers had hoped for a smooth release in 2021, but the relentlessness of the pandemic forced them to come with their product in 2022 only. There was a time when two-hero films used to be the norm, especially in Bollywood, but the trend died down in the last 15-20 years. ## Post the covid-19 pandemic, the chatter about making two-hero films has been peaking pace as most people feel that this is the need of the hour for the betterment of the industry. Recently, Salman Khan played a vital cameo in Shah Rukh Khan-fronted "Pathaan" which also stars John Abraham. ## The cameo of Salman was a major highlight and played a big role in "Pathaan's" box office success. The two heroes will now be sharing equal screen time in "Tiger Vs. During a recent interview while promoting KKBKKJ, he said that whenever he faced a lull and gave a string of flops, he had no problem sharing screen space with the actors like Jackie Shroff, Sunny Deol, Akshay Kumar, etc.## The "Tiger" actor further said that if an actor feels insecure about doing two-hero films, it's quite foolish. Salman added that some actors don't want to do two-hero films as they fear that their role might get reduced if the other actor is close to the producer or director. ## However, he assured the younger actors that such things never happen as everyone works for the betterment of the film. Salman also emphasized that multi-starrers also result in bigger box office collections. Mumbai, April 20 - Superstar Salman Khan-fronted Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan is having a decent advance booking trend though the pace is slowed down after starting on a positive note. ## Directed by Farhad Samji, KKBKKJ has so far sold around 100K tickets worth approx. 2.50 crores gross for the opening day. The three national chains (PVR, INOX, and Cinepolis) have clocked around 40K tickets so far and it looks to finish around 60K-65K tickets. ## The advances are having better response than all but Shah Rukh Khan-fronted "Pathaan" for the 2023 films. At the end of the day, the total pre-sales for the first day are expected to finish over 4 crores gross with approx. 150K-175K tickets, which will make it the second biggest this year. ## At the start of the advance booking a couple of days ago, KKBKKJ was looking to score in the range of 20 crores net on the first day, however, the slow pace and the pre-Eid release have brought down the projection a little bit.## As many are expecting, the opening of the film is looking in the 15 crores net range but considering the better response in mass pockets, it should be eying to open around 17 crores which will be a good number and it could go higher if the talks are positive. Many would argue that a 15-17 crores opening is not up to the mark for a star like Salman Khan but things are not as same it was before the pre-covid era. ## Salman Khan has a strong fan-following in mass belts so expect the walk-ins to be strong than most of the Bollywood films this year. At the time of the announcement of the sequel, Cameron was already the reason behind the top two highest-grossing movies ever with Avatar at No. 1 and Titanic at No. 2. ## The studio might have no idea how big Avatar 2 could go at the time of its announcement. Thalapathy 68: Atlee and Gopichand Malineni In Race To Grab Thalapathy Vijay's Next

Chennai, April 19 - Thalapathy Vijay is arguably the biggest movie star in Tamil cinema and many filmmakers across the country are waiting for the opportunity to work with him. The superstar is also making sure that he works with different directors from other industries to bring versatility to his films. ## Thalapathy Vijay recently collaborated with Telugu director Vamshi Paidipally for the Tamil movie "Varisu" which turned out to be a huge success with a worldwide gross collection of close to 300 crores. He is currently shooting for his maiden Pan India biggie Leo with director Lokesh Kanagaraj and the movie is slated to release on October 19 this year. ## Meanwhile, there are already two directors fighting it out to grab Thalapathy's next film, called Thalapathy 68. For a long time, it has been reported that Atlee Kumar, who is currently working on his maiden Bollywood project "Jawan" featuring Shah Rukh Khan, would be reuniting with Vijay for his next. ## Multiple reports in the past had claimed that Thalapathy Vijay locked his next with Atlee and it will begin filming later this year. However, new reports have surfaced that Telugu filmmaker Gopichand Malineni recently narrated a script to the superstar who liked the core idea. ## Gopichand Malineni, who is coming fresh after delivering a hit in the form of Nandamuri Balakrishna's "Veera Simha Reddy", is said to have narrated a high-voltage action entertainer with a strong core point to Vijay who has given the verbal nod to the script in the first sitting. Mythri Movie Makers is said to be backing this project. ## There is still no clarity on which director Vijay will work with next. He has a long association with Atlee and has delivered a few of his biggest blockbusters with him so going with him should be a no-brainer.
