Mumbai, April 24 - Ayushmann Khurrana's much-awaited social comedy-drama film Dream Girl 2 is again on the movie as the makers have postponed the release to 25 August 2023. ## Directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, the film was scheduled to hit screens on July 7 this year, after getting postponed from the previous date of 23 June 2023. It is said that the latest reason for the delay in the release is the extensive VFX work required for the film. ## "We want Ayushmann Khurrana's character to look perfect as Pooja in Dream Girl 2, and that's why we are taking extra time to perfect the VFX work for the face. We want to ensure that our viewers get the best possible experience when they watch the movie. Global Box Office Forcast Increased To $32 Billion For 2023

Los Angeles, April 24 - The happy days for the box office are back!## After projecting the global box office to reach $29 billion in 2023 in December 2022, Gower Street Analytics has increased its projection to $32 billion after an excellent response in the first quarter of the year. (via Deadline)## The London-based firm released its updated forecast on the evening of CinemaCon, the annual gathering of theater owners and Hollywood studios in Las Vegas. The forecast has been increased seeing films exceeding projections, led by "The Super Mario Bros Movie" which is running towards the coveted $1 billion mark. ## If the $32 billion projection for 2023 holds, this would represent an approximate 23% improvement on 2022, while still trailing the three pre-pandemic years (2017-2019) by 20% on average. ## Out of the $32 billion, the company is estimating the international box office (outside Hollywood) to reach $23 billion, including $6.8 billion in China. The North America box office projection is about $9 billion, approx. 20% improvement from 2022. ## The box office forecast for 2023 by Gower Street Analytics is based on the release calendar as it currently stands. The box office in 2017 was $40.9B, followed by $41.8B in 2018, and $42.3B in 2019, as per Gower. In 2020, when the pandemic hit the world, the box office declined drastically to $11.8B, before seeing some rejig to $21.3B in 2021, and $25.8 billion in 2022.## Stay tuned...

Mumbai, April 23 - Superstar Salman Khan shows his star power once again at the box office as his latest family action drama film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan has crossed the 100 crores gross mark worldwide in the opening weekend itself. ## Directed by Farhad Samji, KKBKKJ took an underwhelming opening of approx. 13 crores net after the not-so-great reviews from critics and mixed responses from audiences. Just when it looked like that the movie will tank due to a poor opening, the stardom of Salman came to the rescue as the movie witnessed excellent growth on its second day, on Eid. ## KKBKKJ scored approx. 25 crores net on its second day (+92.31%) and is on track to score another 26-27 crores net on Sunday, pushing the total net collection to approx. 65 crores. The gross collection of the movie through Sunday stands at approx. 76 crores, which is the second biggest opening weekend for a Bollywood movie this year. ## Overseas, the Salman-fronted flick is estimated to gross approx. $4.10 million (34 crores) and allied to 76 crores domestic debut, KKBKKJ's worldwide opening weekend is approx. 110 crores. Ravikumar is finally getting a big update tomorrow, the makers officially announced via Twitter. ## "Ayalaan" has been in production since 2018 and after many delays, the shoot was wrapped up in late 2022. Mumbai, April 23 - Akshay Kumar's highly-anticipated Hera Pheri 3 is not finding it easy to get going as the film continues to be in legal trouble. In fact, the threequel is in trouble ever since its development was officially revealed by the media after years of speculations. ## Earlier this year, it was revealed that the makers have shot a promo featuring Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal as they were planning to make the official announcement soon. However, there was massive criticism when it came to light that Farhad Samji might be directing the film as fans started trending 'Remove Farhad Samji From Hera Pheri' on Twitter. ## Due to the heavy backlash, the official announcement, which was expected to be made in early April, got postponed. That is not the only problem makers have been facing as some days later, T-Series issued a public notice claiming that the production house is the "sole and exclusive right holder of all copyright of all Music and Audio Visual Song Rights" of the franchise in all mediums. ## And now, another legal notice has been served to the makers, this time by Eros International. According to Film Information Magazine (via Bollywood Hungama), Eros has claimed that it holds Intellectual Property Rights as well as the rights to the title, digital rights, and music rights on a 'sole and exclusive basis'. And that's not all. Eros also claimed that it has the exclusive rights to Welcome Back (2015).## The notice further stated that Firoz Nadiadwala's Base Industries Group owes Rs. 60,07,75,236, inclusive of interest, to Eros International as on April 17, 2023. Sivakarthikeyan's 'Maaveeran' Gets A Release Date

Chennai, April 22 - Tamil star Sivakarthikeyan's Tamil-Telugu bilingual movie Maaveeran/Mahaveerudu with "Mandela" director Madonne Ashwin has been confirmed to hit theaters on August 11, 2023. ## The makers announced the release date with a video that features behind-the-scene vignettes from the making of the movie. The film's Telugu title is Mahaveerudu. It is produced by Arun Viswa under Shanthi Talkies. ## Sivakarthikeyan has already wrapped up filming his portions for "Maaveeran", in which he reportedly essays the role of a cartoonist and will be seen performing some high-level action sequences in the film. The three national chains are having around 60% growth from yesterday, as of 3 PM. Mumbai, April 22 - The sequel to F9 and the eleventh full-length film in the Fast & Furious franchise, Fast X is gearing up for its release on May 19 this year. ## Directed by Louis Leterrier, "Fast X" serves as the penultimate main installment in the franchise as Dominic Toretto and his family are getting ready for the last hurray. Over the last two decades, "Fast & Furious" has left a huge mark on worldwide audiences with the high-octane adrenaline-pumping actioners. ## It has been one of the most successful Hollywood film franchises with over $6.6 billion worldwide box office across the previous 10 films.
