Los Angeles, April 2 - Keanu Reeves-fronted action thriller John Wick: Chapter 4 has crossed $200 million at the worldwide box office after the second weekend. ## Directed by Chad Stahelski, John Wick 4 grossed approx. $245 million worldwide through the second Sunday, making it the highest-grossing R-Rated Hollywood movie of the post-Pandemic era and the biggest since Bad Boys For Life ($430 million) in January of 2020. ## At the domestic (North America) box office, the top reviewed John Wick flick has topped $100 million after an impressive $28.20 million in the second weekend. The total domestic gross collection of the film has reached $122.80 million in 10 days. ## John Wick 4 has crossed the lifetime domestic total of John Wick 2 ($92 million) and is now the second-biggest film in the franchise, behind only John Wick 3's $171 million. As per the Hollywood trade experts, the latest blockbuster is tracking to finish its domestic run close to $200 million which will make it the biggest film in the series.## Overseas, John Wick 4 reached $122.20 million, very much similar to its domestic total. Chennai, April 2 - Tamil star Suriya is currently busy shooting for the period action drama film, titled Kanguva under the direction of Siruthai Siva. The movie has been in production since the last year and there is massive anticipation among the fans for it. ## Produced by Studio Green and UV Creations, "Kanguva" has Disha Patani as the female lead and this is the first time she is sharing screen space with the Tamil star. Chennai, April 2 - After the blockbuster maiden collaboration with Master, Thalapathy Vijay, and director Lokesh Kanagaraj reunite for an action thriller film titled Leo. The movie is reportedly part of Kanagaraj's LCU which also features Karthi's Kaithi and Kamal Haasan's Vikram. ## The shoot of Leo commenced earlier this year and it is going on at a brisk pace. During a recent event, director Lokesh revealed that 50% of the shoot is already completed, and around only 60 days of the shooting are pending.## He said that the movie is an intense actioner that consists of mass dialogue. The filmmaker promised another blockbuster with the Tamil superstar. He has co-written the script with Rathna Kumar and Deeraj Vaidy. ## Leo is produced by S. S. Mumbai, April 1 - Ajay Devgn-fronted sports biopic Maidaan is gearing up for its worldwide release on June 23rd in multiple languages. Directed by Amit Sharma, the film is based on the golden era of Indian football (1952–1962). It stars Ajay Devgn as football coach Syed Abdul Rahim along with Priyamani, Rudranil Ghosh, and Gajraj Rao with music composed by legendary AR Rahman.## Meanwhile, the teaser of "Maidaan" was first released on March 30 with Devgn's "Bholaa" in theaters before it was launched online later in the day. The 1-minute and 30 seconds teaser showed a glimpse into a football match between India and Yugoslavia in the 1952 Helsinki Olympics in which Indian players played barefoot. ## The teaser is filled with a bunch of training montages, some stunning goals in slow-motion, a glimpse of the attacks the team faced, the turmoils Rahim faced, and some electrifying pep talks by Devgn. Hyderabad, April 1 - Natural Star Nani and Keerthy Suresh-fronted period action drama Dasara was in full flow on the opening day of its release at the domestic as well as overseas box office. Directed by debutante Srikanth Odela, the movie shattered all the records of the previous films of Nani and Tier-2 Telugu actors. ## Produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri, Dasara grossed an excellent 23.50 crores, including approx. 14.20 crores share in Telugu states on the first day, which is a record for a non-super star's film. The previous record belonged to Vijay Deverakonda's LIGER which grossed approx. 15 crores, including approx. 9 crores share in AP/TG. ## Nani's previous biggest opening-day grosser movie was Middle Class Abbayi (MCA) which scored approx. 7.50 crores share in AP/TG. Mumbai, April 1 - Director Ayan Mukerji's ambitious project Brahmastra had its theatrical debut last year with the first part Brahmastra Part One: Shiva, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt among others in the key roles. ## After the successful outing of the first of the Brahmastra trilogy, the filmmaker is now working on the next two chapters in the fantasy adventure franchise. During a recent interview with News18, Ayan Mukerji revealed that Brahmastra 2 & 3 would be shot simultaneously for which the writing is underway. ## The first Brahmastra movie, although it received praise for visuals and VFX, did receive a little criticism for poor dialogue writing. Mukerji said that he will write the scripts of the next two films without compromising and this will take some time.## "We will make Brahmastra 2 and 3 together. The truth is we are going to take a little bit of time to write it. I know there's a lot of anticipation. People want the (second part) film to come out. But first, we will write it properly without compromising it. I think it will be about three years from now before we see Brahmastra 2 on the big screen", said Ayan. ## Talking about Brahmastra's dialogues, Ayan said, "We did get some mixed reactions. We still did really good numbers. A lot of people accepted our film. It also did well when it came out on a streaming (platform). It's probably the highest-grossing Hindi film of 2022. Mumbai, March 30 - After the super successful distribution in around 100 countries, Yash Raj Films is all set to release its mega-blockbuster Pathaan starring superstar Shah Rukh Khan, John Abraham, and Deepika Padukone in China, Japan, and Latin America. ## Pathaan, directed by Siddharth Anand, was released on January 25 this year and went on to cross approx. 1050 crores worldwide, becoming one of the biggest Indian blockbusters of all time. Now, YRF is planning for its wide release in China, which has emerged as a huge market for Hindi films over the years. ## YRF is releasing its social comedy-drama "Sui Dhaaga – Made In India" (2018) in China on March 31. The studio's "Hichki" (2018) starring Rani Mukerji was massively successful in China, grossing around $21 million. ## Apart from "Sui Dhaaga" and "Pathaan", YRF will also be releasing Rani Mukerji's "Mardaani 2" (2019) in China.
