Fahadh Faasil To Headline Hombale Films' Next Production?

Bengaluru, September 29 - Malayalam star Fahadh Faasil will reportedly be headlining KGF producer, Hombale Films' next production. The production house teased a new big announcement today (Sept. 29) with the tagline "A race against time". ## According to LetsCinema, Hombale Films-headed by Vijay Kirgandur will announce a new film tomorrow (Sept.30) with Fahadh Faasil. Pawan Kumar, who directed the Kannada movie "U-Turn" and its Tamil-Telugu bilingual remake, will reportedly be directing Hombale's film with Fahadh. ## The studio will make the official announcement tomorrow at 10:16 AM. Fahadh, meanwhile, will next be seen in the Tamil political thriller film "Maamannan", which is currently under production. The actor will also be shooting for "Pushpa - The Rule" with Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna soon. ## Hombale Films, on the other hand, has multiple films in the pipeline, and the most-awaited of them is Prabhas-fronted "Salaar". It also has "Tyson" with Prithviraj Sukumaran, "Bagheera", and Rakshit Shetty's "Richard Anthony", among a couple of other films. Ponniyin Selvan - Part 1 Opening Day Box Office Prediction

Chennai, September 29 - Filmmaker Mani Ratnam returns to the direction after 4 years with the magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan. The first part of this epic period action film is scheduled to release on September 30 in multiple languages, and needless to say, there is a huge curiosity among the audience to witness the cinematic adaptation of Kalki Krishnamurthy's legendary 1955 novel of the same name. ## "Ponniyin Selvan - Part 1" is one of the biggest films ever from Tamil cinema, in terms of budget and scale. Produced by Madras Talkies, and Lyca Productions, the film has reportedly been made on a budget of approx. 500 crores for both parts (the second part will release after 6-9 months of PS1). ## The advance booking of the movie has been excellent so far with over 12 crores for all languages, including approx. 10.50 crores in Tamil alone. Among the recent Tamil films, the advance sales are currently the 4th highest after "Beast", "Valimai", and "Vikram", but is expected to finish above "Vikram" by the time the first show begins. ## "PS-1" is looking to take one of the biggest openings ever in Tamil Nadu. Going by the advance booking trend, it is expected to start over 25 crores in the home state but the number could reach 30 crores if the talks are positive which is very much expected. At the all-India level, the minimum opening of 40 crores gross is something the makers will be hoping for. ## Tamil movies have always performed strongly in the international markets, especially in the countries like Singapore, UAE, and USA. "PS-1" is already heading towards the second biggest premiere for a Tamil movie in the USA. The advance booking for the premieres is nearly $1 million and it could finish at around $1.3 million. Comparing it with the recent top Tamil movies, "PS1" is likely to score approx. 20-25 crores overseas on an opening day. ## The film stars an ensemble cast of Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Prabhu, R. Sarathkumar, Vikram Prabhu, Jayaram, Prakash Raj, Rahman, and R. Parthiban. The music is composed by A. R. Rahman, with cinematography handled by Ravi Varman, editing done by A. Hrithik was last seen on the big screen in War in 2019 and became the biggest Bollywood opener with Rs. 51.60 crores.## The scene has completely changed for the cinema industry, especially for Bollywood which has been struggling to get big openings in the post-pandemic era. It will be foolish to think Bollywood movies will open to record-breaking numbers like the pre-pandemic era unless the movie has really generated massive hype. ## Directed by Pushkar–Gayathri, "Vikram Vedha", despite the presence of star power, will heavily depend on the audience's word of mouth. However, "Vikram Vedha" has something that these aforementioned films lacked, and that is a massive commercial appeal. ## "Vikram Vedha" has been receiving rave reviews from critics and its effect of it has been seen in the trend of advance sales which has picked over the last 24 hours. Going by the advance booking trend, the movie is looking to open around 12-13 crores net. Since the film promises to be a mass entertainer, the single screens are expected to perform much better than the previous films, and looking at all these things, the opening of around 15-17 crores is very much on the cards.## The opening of 15+ crores of the film will largely depend on the audience's word of mouth. Most Bollywood films have failed to impress audiences lately despite the positive critics' reviews, so it will be interesting to see how moviegoers are going to take this film. Mumbai, September 27 - Filmmaker Neeraj Pandey had announced his ambitious film Chanakya with Ajay Devgn in 2018. However, there hasn't been any development since then and the latest reports suggest the movie has been put on hold indefinitely.## While Chanakya is not happening anytime soon, the duo is teaming up for a different project and this is going to be their first film together. According to the reports, Ajay and Neeraj are joining hands for an edge-of-the-seat thriller. The movie is believed to be a two-hero film and reports say, the makers are in talks with Ayushmann for the second lead.## It is said that Ayushmann Khurrana liked the script and gave his verbal nod to come on board the movie that will be produced by Ajay Devgn and Neeraj Pandey. It will be the first time when Ajay and Ayushmann will share screen space together. Anupam Kher has also been roped in to play a pivotal role. ## The shoot of this yet untitled film will reportedly be started in November this year in Bhopal after Ajay Devgn completes his directorial "Bholaa" which also features him in the title role. The upcoming film will mark a directorial comeback for Pandey in films after nearly 4 years. His last directorial film was "Aiyaary" in 2018.## Ajay Devgn will next be seen in Indra Kumar's comedy-drama "Thank God", which is scheduled to release on Diwali this year. He also has "Drishyam 2", scheduled for November 18 release. Apart from films releasing this year, Ajay Devgn has Amit Sharma's highly anticipated sports drama, "Maidaan", and "Bholaa", which will be released in the first half of next year and then he will start Rohit Shetty's "Singham 3". ## On the other hand, Ayushmann Khurrana is currently shooting for "Dream Girl 2" while his "Doctor G" is gearing up for October 14, 2022, release. Mumbai, September 27 - Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan's highly-awaited Vikram Vedha, which also stars Saif Ali Khan, is gearing up for its wide release on September 30. After Vikram Vedha, Hrithik will start Siddharth Anand's Fighter while he also has Krrish 4 in the pipeline. ## In other news, it has been speculated that the WAR actor will be headlining Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra Part 2: Dev along with director Nitesh Tiwari's magnum opus Ramayana. Hrithik has been approached for Ramayana, as per the recent confirmed media reports, and now, he has dropped a major hint regarding the same. ## During the Vikram Vedha press conference held in Mumbai recently, Hrithik was asked about what's next on the work front for him and if he is a part of Brahmastra 2 and Ramayan, Hrithik said, "After Vikram Vedha, I will resume Fighter and then there is potential for the other films you mentioned". ## He clearly hinted that he might take up both the movies. If reports are to be believed, Hrithik is almost certain to headline Ramayana along with Ranbir Kapoor.## It will also be interesting to see how Hrithik manages to do Krrish 4 if he does both Brahmastra 2 and Ramayana. The script for Krrish 4 is almost done and the movie could start rolling out anytime in 2023.
