Mumbai, September 27 - Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali is putting efforts to bring two highly talented Bollywood stars for his next musical drama Baiju Bawra. ## The maverick filmmaker scored Bollywood's first hit of 2022 in the form of Gangubai Kathiawadi with lady superstar Alia Bhatt, and now, he is working on "Baiju Bawra". The filmmaker has already reportedly roped Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, and according to peepingmoon.com, he is keen on bringing Ranbir Kapoor to play the parallel lead. ## "Baiju Bawra" is touted to be a revenge story of a maverick maestro, named Baiju, who challenges the famous maestro Tansen in Mughal Emperor Akbar's court to a musical duel in order to avenge his father's death. While Ranveer is locked, the report says that Bhansali has started talks with Ranbir to play the parallel lead. ## While Ranbir hasn't given his nod for the movie, SLB is hopeful of his casting. It's not yet clear who has been offered which role, but if they come together, "Baiju Bawra" will certainly become the talk of the town. The shooting of this magnum opus is expected to start in the first quarter of 2023 after SLB completes Netflix's series "Heera Mandi".## Meanwhile, on the work front, Ranbir has just delivered a box office hit in the form of "Brahmastra" and will next be seen in Luv Ranjan's untitled rom-com. Mumbai, September 27 - Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan returned to the big screen after nearly 4 years with Laal Singh Chaddha, which was a remake of the Hollywood classic "Forrest Gump". But LSC also met with the same fate as his last film Thugs of Hindostan at the box office.## It was reported that Aamir will next take up director RS Prasann's film which is a remake of the Spanish film, Campeones. But, the disastrous result of LSC reportedly forced Aamir to ask to pause pre-production work on the film for the time being. However, the latest reports suggest positive development regarding Prasann's sports-comedy-drama film. ## According to Peepingmoon.com, Aamir Khan has made up his mind to do the Hindi adaptation of "Campeones" as his next film and the shoot for the same will start in January 2023. The exciting news is that Prabhas will be heading to Ayodhya on October 2nd and unveiling the first look teaser of "Adipurush".## Directed by Om Raut, "Adipurush" is based on the epic Ramayana and it is scheduled to release on January 12, 2023. Los Angeles, September 26 - Amid the anticipation of Avatar: The Way of Water, Disney re-released its predecessor Avatar in theaters and getting rich rewards at the box office. ## It has been 13 years since AVATAR was originally released in 2009, but the striking world of Pandora is forcing people to visit theaters to watch the 4K remastered version. The film generated $10 million in North America and $20.5 million internationally for $30.5 million worldwide over the opening weekend of its re-release. ## "We're talking about a film that's 13 years old, which people can watch at home. The big draw is the Imax presentation. 'Avatar' is serving as a reminder of how cool the imagery of Pandora looks on the big screen", says Paul Dergarabedian, a senior media analyst with Comscore. ## The response to the Avatar re-release has been such huge that it beat the new releases as well as the re-release of some of the biggest blockbusters of all time. The movie came above Florence Pugh's "Don't Worry Darling" which grossed $30 million worldwide, though it was the number one movie in North America. ## In terms of recent re-releases, ticket sales for "Avatar", which played in 1,980 theaters, came in 85% ahead of the re-release for "Spider-Man: No Way Home", which grossed $5.4 million from nearly 3900 theaters earlier this month. Domestically, "Avatar" also came above the combined gross collection of the rerelease of "No Way Home" and "Star Wars: Rogue One".## As per Variety, the remastered version of "Avatar" took the No. 1 spot in smaller markets like France ($2.9 million), Italy ($1.5 million), Singapore, and Thailand. Other top territories were Germany ($1.3 million), the United Kingdom ($1.3 million), and Korea ($1.3 million). In India, it grossed approx. $700K over the weekend.## The encouraging box office response to "Avatar" has almost confirmed the massive opening of "Avatar: The Way of Water" which opens in December this year. "Had the re-release underperformed that would be the first indicator that — uh oh — there may be a problem [for the sequel]. Mumbai, September 26 - The Astras continue to light up the Bollywood box office!## Director Ayan Mukerji's fantasy action adventure Brahmastra Part One: Shiva has crossed the 400 crores gross mark at the worldwide box office, becoming the first Bollywood movie since Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff's War to achieve the milestone. ## The Ranbir Kapoor-fronted film reached the landmark box office figure on its 17th day, after scoring over 6 crores on its 3rd Sunday. With this, the movie has also crossed 250 crores net in India and again becomes the highest-grossing Bollywood movie domestically, outscoring The Kashmir Files. ## The current box office figures of the film stand at Rs. 253 crores net, and approx. Rs. 402 crores worldwide gross.## Brahmastra is the 15th Bollywood movie of all time and is the second for Ranbir Kapoor after "Sanju" and the first for Alia Bhatt to reach 400 crores gross worldwide. Overall, Brahmastra is the 22nd Indian movie to achieve this milestone. Mumbai, September 25 - The makers of psychological crime thriller Chup have reduced the ticket prices of the film from Monday (September 26) along with James Cameron's Avatar re-release and R. Madhavan's Dhokha: Round D Corner. ## The aforementioned films will be available to purchase for Rs. 100-110 in most theaters. The makers haven't made the official announcement regarding reducing ticket prices of the film but it seems, the decision came after Brahmastra Part One: Shiva makers confirmed that the film can be watched in just Rs. 100+GST from Monday to Thursday. ## Reducing ticket prices could largely benefit "Chup", "Avatar", and "Brahmastra" as these films have found acceptance among the audience. It has been a long cry within the film industry that movie ticket prices should be kept low so that large audiences can afford them, and the latest development suggests the makers are finally looking for course correction. ## Director R. Balki's "Chup" has scored well in the first two days and earned 5.13 crores net. The opening day witnessed higher footfalls than the second day due to the National Cinema Day, on which ticket prices were made available for just Rs. 75. Los Angeles, September 25 - Wrestler-turned Hollywood actor John Cena continues to win hearts and adds another accolade to his hat. ## The "Peacemaker" star has officially broken the Guinness World Record for the most Make-A-Wish Foundation wishes granted. Cena is the most requested Make-A-Wish celebrity and he has granted 650 wishes to date, which is a world record, Guinness announced.## When he was honored for granting 500 wishes in 2015, Cena opened up about the foundation and how much he enjoys doing what he does. "I just drop everything. If I can offer a fantastic experience, I'll be first in line to do my part", Cena said at that time, according to The Hollywood Reporter.## John Cena, who has now become a popular DC film star for playing Peacemaker, has been granting wishes since 2002, a few years after he began his career as a professional wrestler. He went on to become one of the most loved wrestlers ever, especially among children. ## "I want them (kids) to have an experience that will stay with them forever.
