Sourav Ganguly thinks Australia's tour will be tougher this time but expects Virat Kohli & Co. to win

Former team India captain and current BCCI president, Sourav Ganguly is hopeful that Virat Kohli & Co. can repeat the 2018 success in Australia when the two most powerful teams will face each other later this year in the highly anticipated Test series. ## When India toured Australia previously in 2018, the Virat Kohli led side created history by winning the Test series down under for the first time. However, Ganguly expects a tougher challenge this time for Team India to repeat the same kind of success as Australia will be boosted by David Warner and Steve Smith's presence who were missing on the previous tour due to their suspensions. ## Speaking to India Today, the BCCI president said, "It is going to be a tough series. It is not going to be what it was two years back. It is going to be a strong Australia but our team is as good. We have the batting, we have the bowling. We just need to bat better. You know the best team overseas bat well. When we were so successful in England, in Australia, in Pakistan we were getting 400-500-600 in Test matches. I said that to Virat as well."## "Because you are Virat Kohli, your standards are high," he pointed out. "When you walk out to play when you walk out with your team, I don't expect you to just play well against Australia, I expect you to win. So you have to live up to the standards. For his captaincy tenure, this will be a milestone series - more than the World Cup". ## Ganguly also revealed that he has been communicating with the Indian skipper Virat Kohli on the need to stay fit with the players not having played since early March due to COVID-19.## "I have been in touch with him, telling him, 'you have got to stay fit. You haven't played cricket for six months, you don't want your fast bowlers to come back and get injured. They have been training, but training and playing cricket is different".## "You have got to make sure your best bowlers are ready for the tour and fit. Whether it's Shami (Mohammad), whether it's (Jasprit) Bumrah, whether it's Ishant (Sharma), whether it's (Hardik) Pandya, they have to be at the top of their match fitness when they land in Australia", he added. ## The India tour of Australia is scheduled to begin from October 11 with 3 T20Is followed by 4 Tests and 3 ODIs. The Border-Gavaskar test series will commence from December 3 and it will end on January 7 before ODIs taking place from January 12. ## Stay tuned...

Varun Dhawan lends financial support to Bollywood background dancers

Actor Varun Dhawan who played the role of a dancer in movies like ABCD 2 and Street Dancer 3D has come into the rescue for the Bollywood background dancers who have been hit severely hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. The actor has provided direct financial support to the dancers with whom he worked in his movies. ## Due to nationwide lockdown, just like the other sectors, Bollywood also went into a complete lockdown that forced the many artists to lose their jobs. With lacking financial support, dancers made a collective video, appealing to producers and stars for help. Varun Dhawan listened to their plight and transferred money into the accounts of as many as 200 background dancers. ## One of the former background dancers, Raj Surani who is now a coordinator for songs, said, "Varun Dhawan has helped the needy dancers. He has worked with a lot of them in three dance films. He was very concerned about how the dancers are managing their livelihood. He promised to help them and try and address their problems".## However, Varun Dhawan is not alone in this great initiative, in the past, Sidharth Malhotra and Shahid Kapoor had also extended financial support to the background dancers. ## "There are many dancers who continue to face issues with their landlords over rent. There are others who have ailing parents and there are seniors who need medicine from time to time. We are thankful to all those who are helping the dancers. Though shooting has begun dancers will have to wait for really long time before they can go back on sets", added Raj Surani.## Earlier, Salman Khan had supported as many as 25,000 industry workers who, due to lockdown, lost their jobs and were going without money. Salman Khan directly transferred money into their accounts and tried to bail them out from this crisis. ## Stay tuned...

There is nothing left for Sacred Games 3, says Nawazuddin Siddiqui

The highly acclaimed and one of the most popular Netflix series Sacred Games' third season seems out of the question. Nawazuddin Siddiqui who was hailed for his role in the series and acquired a new level of fame says that there is nothing left in Vikram Chandra's novel that can be put in Season 3.## Speaking to a leading portal, Nawazuddin Siddiqui said, "Sacred Games got the kind of worldwide acclaim that none of us associated with the series had seen before. I remember shooting in Rome for Tannishta Chatterjee’s film and over there too there were so many people talking to me about Sacred Games. So we all felt it was right to do it again, and we did a second season".## Directed by Vikramaditya Motwane and Anurag Kashyap, Nawazuddin Siddiqui admits that the second season was a disappointment as the intentions behind it were not sincere. "Perhaps, somewhere the intention behind Season 2 was not as sincere as the first time. I admit Sacred Games 2 was a disappointment", he said. ## As for season 3, the actor said, "Whatever had to be said from the original novel has already been said. There is nothing left in Vikram Chandra’s novel to be put in Season 3".## When asked about his character in Sacred Games and the dialogues were very popular, the actor politely said the credit must go to writers who wrote the dialogues that became famous.## "I can't take credit for the popularity of the lines that I spoke. I didn't write them. In India, we often give credit to the actor for a popular line. In Yash Chopra Saab's Deewaar, Shashi Kapoor Saab spoke the line, 'Mere Paas Maa Hai'. But, it was Salim-Javed who wrote that line. So the credit must go to them", he added. ## Sacred Games is a crime mystery thriller series of which the second season was nominated for the International Emmy Award 2019 in the best drama category. The series also starred Saif Ali Khan, Radhika Apte, Pankaj Tripathi, Ranvir Shorey, Kalki Koechlin in the prominent roles. ## Stay tuned...
