Huge Update On Edge's WWE Deal And AEW WrestleDream Status
Orangeville, September 28 - Edge is widely considered one of the greatest professional wrestlers in history, and this prestige is unlikely to change even if he makes an appearance at this Sunday's WrestleDream pay-per-view event in AEW.
Edge seemingly had his last wrestling match on the September 18 episode of WWE SmackDown, facing off against an opponent he had never crossed paths with in his WWE career, Sheamus. Following this bout, there were swift rumors circulating that Edge might be considering a move to AEW, especially since his WWE contract was expected to expire this month.
The WWE Hall of Famer did confirm that he received a contract extension offer but didn't disclose whether he had officially re-signed. However, there is now strong speculation that he might ink a deal with AEW for another run, possibly teaming up with Christian Cage.
The intrigue reached its zenith on Wednesday's Dynamite when a masked assailant attacked Jay White to close the show. Many fans speculated that Edge could be the mysterious masked figure.
The latest information from Dave Meltzer indicates that Edge's WWE contract is set to expire on Saturday, potentially paving the way for his appearance at WrestleDream.
