WWE Star Edge Officially Becomes A Free Agent
Orangeville, 1 October - Edge's contract with WWE has officially expired, making him a free agent as of October 1st, 2023.
Speculation has surged about his potential debut at this Sunday's AEW WrestleDream. Recent reports from the Pro Wrestling Torch suggest that Edge is likely to ink a deal with AEW, setting the stage for a final run alongside Christian Cage.
Edge carved an illustrious career in WWE, amassing a remarkable tally of 31 championships. His television debut occurred in 1998, adopting the ring name "Edge." His impressive physique and wrestling prowess earned him the WWF Intercontinental Championship in 1999. Subsequently, he formed a tag team partnership with Christian Cage, securing the World Tag Team Championship an impressive seven times.
The duo left an indelible mark on the wrestling world, establishing themselves as one of the premier tag teams of the Attitude Era. Following his separation from Cage in 2001, Edge embarked on a singles career. As a solo star, he captured multiple championships, including the WWE Championship (4 times), World Heavyweight Championship (7 times), WWF/E Intercontinental Championship (5 times), and WCW United States Championship (1 time).
His most recent WWE bout transpired on the August 18th episode of SmackDown, where he faced off against Sheamus.
