'Aankh Micholi' First Week and 'Tejas' Two Weeks Box Office Collection Update

Mumbai, November 10 - It was another week when new Bollywood movies failed badly at the box office. Though there were no expectations from the new releases things could have been smooth for theatres before the biggie "Tiger 3" arrived on November 12 to rule the roost. ## In the last week, the family comedy-drama film "Aankh Micholi", starring Abhimanyu Dassani, Mrunal Thakur, and Paresh Rawal, was released and died down the first weekend itself. The movie didn't make much impact at the box office as it scored just approx. 2 crores net in the entire first week.## "Aankh Micholi" was one of the many recent films that got released in theatres for the sake of release. The makers didn't even bother promoting and tried to generate buzz around the film, which sealed its fate. ## Meanwhile, Kangana Ranaut's "Tejas" had a horrible second week as it scored only approximately 75 lakh after the poor first week. The total net collection of the movie is approximately 6.25 crores in two weeks, turning out to be another disaster for the actress. ## In between the disappointing results, Vikrant Massey's drama film "12th Fail" is going from strength to strength. The movie scored approx. 14.20 crores net in the second week which is bigger than the first week's collection of approx. 13.05 crores net. ## The Vidhu Vinod Chopra's directorial movie has reached 27.25 crores net in two weeks and is eyeing to finish its run at around 35 crores net which will be an excellent result for the movie. ## Stay tuned...

Kangana Ranaut's 'Tejas' Locks A New Release Date; Confirms A Big Box Office Clash

Mumbai, July 5 - Director Sarvesh Mewara's action thriller film "Tejas" starring Kangana Ranaut has announced its new theatrical release date. Produced by Ronnie Screwvala's RSVP Movies, the movie will be released worldwide on October 20 this year on the occasion of Dussehra. ## "Tejas" is based on the landmark event in 2016 when the Indian Air Force became the country's first defense force to induct women into combat roles. It is about the courageous journey of an Indian Air Force pilot, Tejas Gill played the Kangana. ## The movie was originally scheduled for Dussehra 2022 release but has now been slated for the same festive weekend in 2023. Mumbai, October 8 - The long-awaited drama film Tejas, starring Kangana Ranaut is set to be delayed further. The Sarvesh Mewara-directed movie was supposed to release last year before it was pushed to October 2022 release due to the covid-19 pandemic, and now, Kangana announced a new release plan for the movie. ## On the occasion of Air force Day, Kangana Ranaut took to Twitter to greeted Air Force warriors and announced that her much-awaited film will now be released in Summer 2023. Recently, it was reported that the movie might hit big screens in January 2023, but now, it has been postponed further to give it a proper theatrical release. ## Kangana Ranaut is playing Indian Air Force pilot Tejas Gill in the movie that is produced by Ronnie Screwwala under the banner of RSVP Movies. Mumbai, September 6 - Kangana Ranaut-fronted hotly-awaited Tejas, based on Air Force pilot Tejas Gill, is all set to be postponed from the October 5th, 2022, release. It is believed that the movie will not meet its earlier announced release date deadline as some VFX work is still pending. ## Directed by Sarvesh Mewara and produced by Ronnie Screwvala under his banner RSVP Movies, "Tejas" will now reportedly be released in January 2023 in theaters. It was recently reported that the makers might take the direct-to-digital route for the movie, however, the latest reports suggest that it will release in theaters only. ## "Tejas was to release in October. However, since the film is very VFX there is still quite a bit of work pending. However, the work pending isn’t much yet it will still take a while. So to avoid doing a rushed job on the film, it was decided to defer the release date. Right now the makers are looking at a release in either December 2022 or January 2023", reports Bollywood Hungama. ## The film showcases the story of a woman pilot in the Indian Air Force being played by Kangana Ranaut. The Indian Air Force was the first of the country's defense forces to induct women into combat roles in 2016.
