Peddi Day 5 Box Office: India Gross Reaches 14.31 Cr; Ram Charan Starrer Ranks No. 7 Among Tollywood's Highest 5-Day Totals

The latest cinematic offering Peddi has been the talk of the town since its release. Driven by the sheer star power of Ram Charan, the film hit the big screen with a level of anticipation that has been building steadily for months. Following a strong opening weekend, all eyes were on how the film would perform during its crucial first Monday test, a day that typically determines the long-term sustainability of a big-budget project.

On its fifth day, Peddi recorded a gross collection of 14.31 crore across 7,905 shows in India. This figure marks a shift from Sunday’s gross of 38.24 crore, representing a standard stabilization trend that typically follows a high-performing opening weekend. With this latest addition, the film has reached a total India gross of 201.92 crore, while the net collection stands at 169.70 crore so far.

Looking at the national theater chains for Monday, the performance was led by INOX and PVR. In PVR, the film sold roughly 5,900 tickets, resulting in a gross of 17.8 lakhs across 790 shows with an occupancy of 4 percent. INOX followed closely with 6,100 tickets sold and a gross of 17.0 lakhs across 650 shows at 4.5 percent occupancy. Cinepolis contributed 7.6 lakhs gross from 2,600 tickets across 400 shows. In total, these top three chains accounted for 14,600 tickets and a combined gross of 42.4 lakhs from 1,840 shows.

The cumulative India net collection of 169.70 crore is largely driven by the Telugu version, which has contributed 153.90 crore to the total. The Hindi-dubbed version serves as the second-largest market with 13.30 crore, while the remaining languages account for a smaller portion of the business. Specifically, the Tamil version has netted 1.35 crore, followed by Kannada at 0.91 crore and Malayalam at 0.24 crore. This distribution shows that the film's primary pull remains concentrated in the Telugu states, though it has established a footprint in the Hindi belt as well.

Peddi recorded 142,000 tickets sold for its first Monday. Looking at how other major titles performed, Pushpa 2 holds the top spot with 750,000 tickets, while Kalki 2898 AD and Salaar had recorded 488,000 and 473,000 tickets respectively. Peddi's Monday numbers are currently trending in a similar range to Devara, which had sold 161,000 tickets on its first Monday.

In the Telugu market, Peddi currently holds the 13th spot for the highest first Monday collections. It narrowly missed out on the top 10 by a margin of 77 lakhs, as the 10th-positioned film, Hanuman, had earned 11.17 crore. However, the film's initial momentum is clearly visible in the cumulative charts, where it has secured the 7th position among the highest-ever first five-day collections in Tollywood. This strong start has allowed the film to stay competitive with some of the biggest blockbusters in the industry.

Regionally, the Telugu version continues to be the primary driver, showing strong evening and night occupancy in hubs like Hyderabad and Vizag. In Vizag specifically, the film saw an impressive overall occupancy of 57 percent on Monday. In contrast, the Tamil market remains a bit slower, with Chennai reporting around 18 percent occupancy.
