Ranbir Kapoor's 'Shamshera' Trailer Clocks Over 40 Million Views In 24-Hours

Mumbai, June 25 - The trailer of Ranbir Kapoor-fronted Shamshera received a thunderous response on YouTube in the first 24 hours. It was released on Yash Raj Films' YT Channel on July 24 and has been trending at number 1 since yesterday.

"Shamshera" trailer, for the record, hit 40.75 million views in the first 24 hours, which is the fifth-highest ever for a Hindi movie trailer, and the highest-ever for Ranbir. Currently, at the time of writing this piece, the "Shamshera" trailer has over 47.6 million views along with 739K likes.

The story of Shamshera is set in the fictitious city of Kaza, where a warrior tribe is imprisoned, enslaved, and tortured by a ruthless authoritarian general Shudh Singh.

The movie is scheduled to release on July 22nd in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
