The Khiladi of Bollywood will be headlining Fukrey director Mrigdeep Singh Lamba's next entertainer, according to Pinkvilla. ## It is said that Akshay Kumar recently met the filmmaker and was bowled over by the idea of his next. The superstar has been looking to do more comedy films and this one is said to be an out-and-out comic entertainer, which marries physical and situational comedy. ## The film in question will feature an ensemble full of talented actors as the inter-character dynamics will lead to comic scenarios on the screen. Mumbai, March 12 - Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has officially announced his next film, putting months of speculations to rest. The actor has reunited with producer Sajid Nadiadwala for an untitled film, to be directed by A.R.Murugadoss. ## It was reported yesterday that the film in question was Kick 2, however, Nadiadwala clarified on social media that it wasn't the one speculated by media but confirmed that the studio indeed working on a film with Murugadoss and Salman which has now been officially confirmed. ## The shoot of the movie is expected to commence in the next couple of months and it will be a grand worldwide release on Eid 2025. Mumbai, March 11 - After the very good first-weekend collection with 54 crores net, Ajay Devgn-fronted Shaitaan sees a drop of over 60% on its first Monday and the same is around 50% from Friday on which the collection benefitted by Maha Shivratri holiday. ## According to early estimates, the supernatural thriller mints 6.75-7.25 crores net collection on its first Monday, which takes the total collection to around 61 crores in 4 days. The drop from Sunday as well as from Friday is slightly higher than normal but can be called a decent hold as the biz gets hit during Ramazan days. ## Shaitaan has been made on a controlled budget and a consistent performance from here on will take it to a healthy total. The movie, however, needs to show solid consistency during the weekdays to make sure it doesn't drop further beyond normal decline and that would take it to around 77 crores in the full first week. Mumbai, March 9 - After a very good start at the box office with close to 15 crores net, Ajay Devgn-fronted supernatural thriller Shaitaan jumps by over 20% on Saturday which is again a very good result for a thriller genre, backed by positive word of mouth. ## On its second day/first Saturday, Shaitaan scored an estimated 18-19 crores net collection, pushing the total to around 33 crores net in two days. Mumbai, March 7 - Yami Gautam-fronted political thriller Article 370 has had a very good second week at the domestic box office, holding 60% of the first week total. The movie put up a consistent performance throughout the second week. ## After scoring 15.25 crores net in the second weekend, Article 370 remained over the 1.50 crores mark during the weekdays and added another estimated 6.75 crores net from Monday to Thursday for around 22 crores net in the second week. This takes the total collection to around 57.50 crores in two weeks. ## Article 370 has done well so far as it has its limitations as far as the audience is concerned. Ajay Devgn's 'Shaitaan' Advance Booking Status And Opening Day Box Office Expectations

Mumbai, March 7 - After the good first two months of 2024, the Hindi film industry has now pinned its hope on Ajay Devgn-fronted supernatural horror thriller Shaitaan to continue the momentum at the box office. Directed by Vikas Bahl, the film also stars Jyothika, R. Madhavan, and Janki Bodiwala in key roles and is scheduled to release on March 8.## Shaitaan has been able to generate a decent buzz, thanks to the genre and well-received trailer. The booking for the film was opened a couple of days back and though it is not over the roof it is still decent considering the horror genre which has a limited audience. ## As of 3 PM on March 7, the pre-sales gross collection of Shaitaan for the opening day is around 2.50 crores with close to 110K tickets sold. The final pre-sales of the movie are expected to finish around 3.50 crores for the opening day which will be a decent response. ## The pre-sales of Shaitaan are more or less similar to Sam Bahadur and Dream Girl 2 though the genre of both these films was different. Given the booking trend, the Ajay Devgn-starrer opening could be somewhere around Dream Girl 2 which scored 10.69 crores net. Blockbuster 'Drishyam' Franchise To Be Remade In Hollywood

Mumbai, February 29 - The blockbuster Indian suspense thriller film franchise Drishyam is set to be remade in the English language. India's Panorama Studios has joined hands with U.S. companies Gulfstream Pictures and JOAT Films to bring the movie to Hollywood. ## Drishaym was originally made in Malayalam language, starring superstar Mohanlal in the lead role. It was remade in Hindi with Ajay Devgn and Tabu in the lead roles in 2015 and later, a sequel in both languages released in 2021 and 2022, respectively. ## Panorama Studios produced the Hindi version and also acquired the international remake rights to Drishyam 1 & 2 from the original producers, Aashirvad Cinemas. The studio has already announced a Korean-language remake of the film in 2023 and is close to finalising a deal to remake the movie in Spanish-language. ## "Drishyam's clever narrative has a universal appeal and we are keen to celebrate this story with audiences worldwide. Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi, Aftab Shivdasani's 'Masti 4' Officially Announced

Mumbai, February 29 - Ending the months of speculations, actors Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi, and Aftab Shivdasani reunite for the fourth instalment of comedy entertainer Masti. ## The film will be directed by Milap Zaveri while Indra Kumar and Ashok Thakeria of Maruti International along with A Jhunjhunwala and SK Ahluwalia of Waveband Productions will produce it. The first three films were directed by Indra Kumar. ## Masti 4 was officially announced on February 29 with the aforementioned cast and crew and also unveiled the logo for the same. Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi's 'Jolly LLB 3' To Start Filming In May 2024

Mumbai, February 28 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar is teaming up with Arshad Warsi for the third instalment of the Jolly LLB franchise. It was Warsi who headlined the first movie before Akshay took centre stage in the second instalment and now, the duo is coming together for the next chapter. ## While the official announcement is yet to be made, reports have confirmed that Jolly LLB 3 will see Akshay and Arshad in comical confrontations. Subhash Kapoor will return to direct the movie which was initially planned to go on the floor by early 2024, but now according to Pinkvilla, Jolly LLB 3 is set to start filming in May 2024. ## "Both Akshay and Arshad have allotted their dates for Jolly LLB 3 from May and are excited to embark on this journey together", says the report. The movie was made available to stream from February 15 and it scored 13 million viewing hours from 4.9 million views in the first 4 days. ## Dunki has so far scored 24.1 million viewing hours from 9.1 million views, making it one of the most-watched Indian films on the streamer in the first 11 days.
