Box Office: 'Kalki 2898 AD' Telugu Version Creates Record In North America

Los Angeles, July 12 - The blockbuster Kalki 2898 AD starring Prabhas has created another record after the Telugu version of the movie became the highest-grossing ever at the North American box office. ## Directed by Nag Ashwin, the original Telugu version of Kalki has crossed $12 million (100+ crores) which is an all-time record for the Telugu language in NA, according to Venky Box Office. Overall, the sci-fi epic has topped $17 million (142 crores) for all versions there.## Kalki 2898 AD is likely to cross Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan ($17.45 million) this weekend to become the second highest-grossing Indian film in North America, behind only Prabhas' own film, Baahubali 2 - The Conclusion ($22 million). Hyderabad, July 12 - Pan India superstar Prabhas-fronted Kalki 2898 AD has had a good second weekend at the domestic box office, grossing an estimated 152 crores, which brings its total collection to an estimated 646+ crores gross in all versions in 15 days. ## After the original Telugu version leading in the first week, it was the Hindi version of the sci-fi epic which drove the biz in the second week as it grossed an estimated 83+ crores gross (70.50 crores net approx.), pushing the total Hindi collection to approximately 277+ crores gross (233 crores net approx.). ## Directed by Nag Ashwin, Kalki 2898 AD is only the 8th movie ever to top 600 crores gross collection in India and it is currently the 7th biggest. Mumbai, July 7 - Prabhas-fronted Kalki 2898 AD clocks 49+ crores net collection in its second weekend in the dubbed Hindi version after big Sunday. The movie witnessed a drop of around 40% from the first Friday to Sunday weekend which is an excellent hold. ## The Nag Ashwin's directorial sci-fi epic crossed the 200 crores net mark after scoring an estimated 22-23 crores net (+22%) on its second Sunday (11th day) in Hindi, pushing the total to around 212 crores net. Mumbai, July 7 - With one eye on the ultimate milestone of 1000 crores gross, Prabhas-fronted sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD has crossed 750 crores at the worldwide box office in just 10 days, the first Indian movie to do so since Ranbir Kapoor's Animal in December last year. ## Directed by Nag Ashwin, Kalki witnessed a jump of over 100% to gross around 40 crores at the domestic box office on its second Saturday while the worldwide collection for the day was over 50 crores gross to take the total global cume to around 760 crores in 10 days. ## In India, the film has grossed an estimated 555 crores while overseas collection is 205 crores in 10 days so far. Kalki 2898 AD will be topping 800 crores worldwide on its second Sunday (11th day) which will make it only the 10th Indian movie ever to achieve the feat. ## The movie is well on track to reach 1000 crore at the worldwide box office, however, a lot will depend on Akshay Kumar's Sarfira and Kamal Haasan's Indian 2 which may slow down the film's progress in non-Telugu states after releasing on July 12. ## Produced by Vyjayanthi Movies, Kalki 2898 AD is the first instalment in a planned Kalki Cinematic Universe. Box Office: 'Kalki 2898 AD' Second Saturday Early Estimates

Mumbai, July 6 - Kalki 2898 AD exploded on its second Saturday at the Hindi box office with a massive jump of around 90% from Friday which is sensational. The overall jump for all versions is over 100% which speaks a lot about the acceptance of the movie among the general audience. ## The Hindi version of the movie was breathing fire today as it scored an estimated 18-19 crore net and it could go a little higher depending on the single screens. The second weekend is looking to be around 50 crores, a drop of just around 40% from the first Friday to Sunday weekend.## The total collection of Kalki 2898 AD Hindi version is around 190 crores in 10 days and tomorrow, on its second Sunday, it will not only top 200 crores net but will also have a chance to beat Hrithik Roshan's Fighter (212.80 crores net approx.) to become the biggest Hindi grosser of the year domestically. ## In all versions, Kalki minted an estimated 40+ crores gross on its second Saturday, with an estimated jump of around 105% from yesterday. Hyderabad, July 6 - Another box office milestone unlocked for Pan India superstar Prabhas-fronted Kalki 2898 AD as it has become the 11th film ever to top 500 crores gross collection at the Indian movie, and first of 2024. ## Directed by Nag Ashwin, the sci-fi epic crossed 500 crores gross in India after scoring another approximately 20 crores on its 9th day, taking the total to an estimated 514+ crores so far. Mumbai, July 5 - Kalki 2898 AD starts the second weekend with a solid hold in the Hindi version with the collection not much less than its previous day, which was expected as it is currently the only major movie in theatres. ## The Prabhas-fronted sci-fi epic has had a fantastic first week with approximately 162.50 crores net collection in Hindi, and on its second Friday, the movie minted an estimated 9.25-9.75 crores net to take the total to over 171.50 crores in the dubbed version in 9 days. ## Kalki 2898 AD will surpass 200 crores net by the second Sunday on which it will also have a chance to top Fighter to become the biggest Hindi grosser of the year at the domestic box office. Mumbai, July 5 - Director Nag Ashwin's sci-fi epic blockbuster Kalki 2898 AD inches one step closer to 1000 crores gross after topping 700 crore gross collection on its 9th day at the worldwide box office, becoming the first Indian movie of the year to do so. ## The Pan India superstar Prabhas-fronted flick grossed an estimated 709+ crores worldwide, including 514+ crores in India and 195 crores at the overseas box office. It scored an estimated 25+ crores gross on its second Friday (9th day).## Kalki 2898 AD is the second film of Prabhas after Baahubali 2 - The Conclusion to top this box office milestone. Deepika Padukone, who plays the female lead in the movie, also scored his second 700 crore grosser after Pathaan in a lead role.
