Prabhas-Fronted Epic Blockbuster 'Kalki 2898 AD' Completes 50 Days At The Box Office

Hyderabad, August 15 - Pan India superstar Prabhas-fronted epic blockbuster Kalki 2898 AD has completed 50 days at the box office on Independence Day, August 15. Nag Ashwin directs the movie that also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani, in key roles.## Kalki 2898 AD was released on June 27 and scored the third biggest opening for an Indian movie by grossing around 175 crores at the worldwide box office. Since then, the sci-fi epic has been unstoppable and has had one of the longest runs for a Telugu title in recent times.## Produced by Vyjayanthi Movies, the movie has grossed an estimated 1042 crores, including 767 crores at the domestic box office in 50 days so far. It is the first Indian movie of 2024 and 7th of all time to top 1000 crores worldwide. Ram Pothineni's 'Double iSmart' Worldwide Theatrical Business Details

Hyderabad, August 14 - Telugu star Ram Pothineni's much-awaited sci-fi action drama film Double iSmart is finally hitting the big screen on August 15 and the movie is looking to make big at the box office during the long holiday weekend due to Independence Day and Raksha Bandhan.## Directed by Puri Jagannadh and also starring Sanjay Dutt and Kavya Thapar, Double iSmart has managed to fetch record theatrical business for Ram Pothineni-starrer. According to T2BLive, the sequel's worldwide theatrical business has been valued at 48 crores and it will need to score around 80 crores gross to emerge as a box office hit.## In Telugu states (Andhra Pradesh and Telangana), the theatrical rights of Double iSmart have been locked at 39 crores, including 15.50 crores for the Nizam area, 6 crores for Ceeded and 17.50 crores for Andhra regions. Nag Ashwin's Next Directorial Is Not 'Kalki 2'

Hyderabad, August 13 - Telugu director Nag Ashwin teamed up with Pan India superstar Prabhas on Kalki 2898 AD which stormed the box office and has become one of the biggest Indian grossers of all time by topping 1000 crores worldwide. ## Kalki 2898 AD is the first installment in the planned Kalki universe but it seems the second film will take some time to get on the floors. The blockbuster filmmaker has announced his next film, tentatively titled Project S and has teamed up with the iconic production house AVM Productions for the same.## The details about the project are not revealed yet but the makers announced on social media that they are looking for associate directors based in Hyderabad for Project S. Mumbai, August 6 - Pan India superstar Prabhas-fronted sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD has become the 4th highest-grossing movie ever at the Indian box office, beating megastar Shah Rukh Khan-led 2023's mega-blockbuster Jawan. ## The domestic box office collection of Kalki 2898 AD has crossed 760 crores gross (640 crores net) in all languages after 40 days, which takes it past the entire run of Jawan's 760 crores gross. It has been difficult for Telugu movies to sustain for a longer period at the box office in recent times but the Prabhas-fronted sci-fi epic has been defying odds to hold its ground. ## The movie scored approximately 65 lakh net collection on its 6th Friday (37th day), dropping under 50% drop from the 5th Friday which is a decent hold.
