Box Office: Liger First Saturday Early Estimates (All Languages)

Mumbai, August 27 - Vijay Deverakonda's sports action drama Liger collets in the similar range as Friday on its first Saturday at the domestic box office, scoring an estimated 7.50-8.50 crores net for all languages. The Puri Jagannadh could have dropped further but got the benefit of tomorrow being a Sunday. The Hindi version once again collects more than the Telugu's with an estimated 4.50-5 crores net. The Telugu version also remains in the same range and collects an estimated 2.50-3 crores net. The total net collection of the film is approx. 31 crores, including Saturday, for all languages. "Liger" was needed to jump big on Saturday but that doesn't happen. Unless the Hindi version really turns the tide, the lifetime collection of the film could be wrapped up under 65 crores net. Box Office: Karthikeya 2 Overtakes Radhe Shyam In Hindi

Mumbai, August 26 - Actor Nikhil Siddhartha's blockbuster Karthikeya 2 has surpassed Prabhas and Pooja Hegde's Radhe Shyam's lifetime collection in Hindi languages. Radhe Shyam, which was released earlier in March this year, couldn't do justice to Prabhas' stardom in the Hindi version and ended up collecting only approx. 19.50 crores net. ## "Karthikeya 2", which opened to nothing numbers of just 7 lakh but grow significantly with each passing day after getting excellent reviews and super positive word of mouth. It scored 5.75 crores net in the opening week, followed by 13.52 crores (+235%) net in the second week. The total Hindi collection of the movie after 14 days reached 20.11 crores.## There is no comparison between Radhe Shyam and Karthikeya 2 as the Prabhas-starrer movie was made on a huge budget and scale against K2, which has been made at a fraction of the budget of RS. However, it was the content, where Radhe Shyam fell flat whereas Karthikey 2 has been hailed as one of the best Telugu films of the year, resulting in, it also making huge noise in the dubbed Hindi version as well. ## Directed by Chandoo Mondeti and produced by Abhishek Agarwal and T.G.Vishwa Prasad, "Karthikeya 2" is following the trend of Allu Arjun's "Pushpa - The Rise" in the Hindi version. Mumbai, August 26 - The horror has come alive as Vijay Deverakonda's Liger falls massively on the second day itself after taking a record but underwhelming start upon its Thursday release in Telugu version. The Puri Jagannadh-directed sports action drama film scored 15.5 crores net on the first day, including 13.80 crores in Telugu. On its first Friday (2nd day), the movie scored an estimated 6-8 crores net for all languages. The only saving moment of the day for the movie is that the Hindi version starts well and scores an estimated 3.50-4 crores net today, which is technically its first day. Box Office: Vijay Deverakonda's 'Liger' Underperformed Despite Record Opening

Hyderabad, August 26 - Vijay Deverakonda's sports action drama Liger was released in theaters yesterday (August 25) and it was a day of mixed feelings for the makers. ## Directed by Puri Jagannadh, "Liger" opened to record-breaking (as expected) box office numbers for a tier-2 Telugu film, but at the same time, the makers must be preparing themselves for what they are going to get in the future, at least for the most important Telugu version. ## "Liger", which had a very good pre-release buzz, remained underwhelming despite taking the biggest opening for Vijay Deverakonda with an AP/TG share collection of 9.14 crores, worldwide is approx. 24 crores. ## Puri Jagannadh described the movie as his best project to date, however, upon its release, the film got very poor reviews from critics while the audience's word of mouth is also not so encouraging which is clearly visible in the opening day numbers that were expected to be around at least 35 crores worldwide. ## The future of this Pan India film is looking blink, especially knowing the fact that the stakes involved in it are high. Box Office: Blockbusters 'Sita Ramam', 'Bimbisara', And 'Karthikeya 2' Crosses Combine 200 Crores Worldwide Gross

Hyderabad, August 23 - The Telugu film industry has delivered three blockbusters in the month of August 2022 in the form of Sita Ramam, Bimbisara, and Karthikeya 2. This is probably the first time in many years that the Telugu industry has delivered three big blockbusters at the box office. ## The three aforementioned films have crossed 200 crores at the worldwide box office, the first time for Telugu movies since May this year when Mahesh Babu's "Sarkaru Vaari Paata" was released. In August, actor Nikhil Siddhartha's sensational blockbuster "Karthikeya 2" is leading the pack, scoring approx. 35% of total gross collection worldwide. ## The mystical action-adventure film has grossed 74.2 crores in 10 days, including 63.8 crores at the domestic box office. The movie opened to very good positive reviews from critics and audiences which transformed into big box office numbers. "Karthikeya 2" also becomes the highest-grossing film of Nikhil's career.## The second highest-grossing Telugu movie this month is director Hanu Raghvapudi's period romantic drama film "Sita Ramam". Hyderabad, August 22 - Megastar Chiranjeevi, who is celebrating his 67th birthday today, announced a few days ago that he will build a hospital for Telugu film workers at Chitrapuri Colony in Hyderabad and it will be operational by his next birthday. ## Participating in an event associated with Celebrity Cricket, the actor assured those present that the hospital would be operational by the time his birthday arrives next year. Addressing the gathering, Chiranjeevi said, "I've got this desire to build a hospital at Chitrapuri Colony. Box Office: Karthikeya 2 Scored An Excellent First Full Week

Hyderabad, August 20 - Telugu mystical action-adventure film, Karthikeya 2 is on a dream run at the box office. The movie, starring Nikhil Siddharth in the title role, had a limited release but went on to outshine other new releases to become a massive blockbuster within a week. ## "Karthikeya 2" was released on Saturday (August 13) and opened to super positive reviews and word of mouth. It scored 5.04 crores net on the first day and went on to finish the first full week (7 days) with approx. 36 crores net, including both Telugu and Hindi languages.## The movie was valued at approx. 13 crores worldwide and it has already scored over 28 crores Share the collection, including 18.7 crores share in Telugu states (AP/TG). It became the highest-grossing film for actor Nikhil in just 4 days and there is not stopping it at the moment. ## Meanwhile, the dubbed Hindi version of the movie is showing no sign of taking a back seat. SSMB 28: Superstar Mahesh Babu's Film With Trivikram Srinivas To Release On April 28, 2023

Hyderabad, August 18 - One of the most exciting and successful actors and directors combo in Tollywood cinema, superstar Mahesh Babu and Trivikram Srinivas are ready for their third collaboration, tentatively titled SSMB28. While the shoot of the film will start in the next few days, the makers have finalized the release date of the film. ## Produced by Haarika & Hassine Creations, "SSMB 28" will be hitting worldwide theaters on April 28th next year. It is the same date on which Mahesh Babu's "Pokiri" with director Puri Jagannadh was released in 2006 and made him a superstar who never looked back since then. "SSMB 28" will have Pooja Hegde playing the female lead and it will be her second film with Babu after the blockbuster "Maharshi". ## Haarika & Hassine Creations took to Twitter and announced the release date of the film with a video clip.
