Kate Winslet, Scarlett Johansson, Chloe Zhao, Among Others In Time 100 List Of Most Influential People

New York, September 16, 2021: The American news magazine and news website, Time has released the list of 100 most influential people in the world. The magazine inculdes people from different fields who played the part in brignig changes to world in some way such as politics, sports, films, and others in this quoted list. ## Titanic and Oscar winner actor Kate Winslet along with Black Widow star Scarlett Johansson, Oscar-winning director Chloe Zhao, singer-songwriter Britney Spears are among the celebrities who made it to the Time 100 list for most influential people of 2021. The list also include Judas and the Black Messiah actor Daniel Kaluuya, Minari's Steven Yeun, among others. ## The inclusion of Scarlett Johansson in the list is the result of her ongoing legal face-off with Walt Disney Co. Johansson is in red hot talks in Hollywood after she filed a lawsuit against Disney that released "Black Widow" day and date on Disney Plus, which, the actress allaged, the breach of her contract and the hybrid release cost her at least $50 million. ## Jamie Lee Curtis, who picked Johansson for Time 100, explained the reason behind her inclusion. "I recently watched her own the screen as the Black Widow, who exacts revenge on a powerful figure who manipulates (emphasis on man) women to fight for him. And then I saw her brilliant response to a real-life manipulation (same emphasis), when she filed a breach-of-contract lawsuit against the studio, alleging its decision to release the film simultaneously in theaters and on streaming cost her substantial losses in pay".## On the other hand, Kate Winslet, who had won Oscar for the Best Actress for "The Reader", is continue to inspire after so many years with her path breaking portrayls on the screen. Makers Changes Format After Priyanka Chopra's TV Reality Show 'The Activist' Sparked Controversy

Mumbai, September 16, 2021: The American TV reality show "The Activist" lead by judges Priyanka Chopra Jonas, multiple-Grammy winning singer-songwriter Usher, and 'Dancing with the Stars' star Julianne Hough, came under fire for its concept, which led the makers of the show to change its concept. ## "The Activist", which was supposed to be a five-week series, has now shifted to a one-time documentary special format, according to Variety. ICYDK, the reality show (now documentary) will consist of six activists from around the world, who will work "to bring meaningful change to one of three urgent universal causes: health, education, and the environment". ## However, the format of the show sparked huge controversy as many called it the "worst idea ever" and a business-minded show. And after facing criticism, CBS and producing partners Global Citizen and Live Nation issued a statement announcing the change in the show's format.## "The Activist was designed to show a wide audience the passion, long hours, and ingenuity that activists put into changing the world, hopefully inspiring others to do the same. However, it has become apparent the format of the show as announced distracts from the vital work these incredible activists do in their communities every day. The push for global change is not a competition and requires a global effort", the statement read.## "As a result, we are changing the format to remove the competitive element and reimagining the concept into a primetime documentary special (air date to be announced), it will showcase the tireless work of six activists and the impact they have advocating for causes they deeply believe in. Each activist will be awarded a cash grant for the organization of their choice, as was planned for the original show", the statement continued.## Global Citizen has even apologized to people for hurting their sentiments. "Global activism centers on collaboration and cooperation, not competition. We apologize to the activists, hosts, and the larger activist community -- we got it wrong. It is our responsibility to use this platform in the most effective way to realize change and elevate the incredible activists dedicating their lives to progress all around the world", the organization said in a separate statement.## Stay tuned...

Venom 2 Director Andy Serkis Confirms Future Crossover With Tom Holland's Spider-Man

Los Angeles, September 15, 2021: Sony Pictures' "Venom: Let There Be Carnage" is all set to debut in theaters in the next couple of weeks and fans will get to watch two of Spider-Man's most legendary villains go toe to toe. However, despite being connected with each other, at least in Comic books, Venom 2 won't feature Spider-Man. ## The fact that Sony has built a new Spider-Man movie franchise with Marvel Studios as well as a Venom movie franchise under its own roof. This may look like that a Spider-Man and a Venom crossover can happen anytime, like all the marvel movies. But this isn't that easy as again, the fact, Venom isn't an official part of the "Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU)" like Spider-Man. ## Because Venom isn't a part of MCU despite being connected to Spider-Man, has kept fans guessing whether or not there will be an official crossover between Tom Holland's Spider-Man and Tom Hardy's Venom. Well, it is not happening anytime soon but a future crossover is definitely on the cards, as Venom director Andy Serkis said. ## In a new interview, "Venom: Let There Be Carnage" director Andy Serkis addresses the question of a Spider-Man and Venom crossover and confirms that yes it will happen, but "when" is the question. "Look, that's the question on everyone's lips", Serkis told IGN (via comicbook). "They want to know if Venom is gonna meet Spider-Man, but personally, it's never gonna happen. I'm only joking, of course, it's gonna happen". ## While a Spider-Man and a Venom crossover is inevitable, Andy Serkis adds the important contextual note that to reach that stage, the most-awaited crossover, one will have to wait because by rushing to get there, fans could miss out on the potentially richer journey in between. ## "Look, it depends when you want to get there, and also, what the appetite is", Serkis explains. "If people want more Venom stories, then, to jump straight to Spider-Man, you could be missing out on so many great supervillain characters in between now and then. So, in a way, by rushing to it, you might be closing the door", he added. ## Meanwhile, Sony already has a lot of moving parts to the SSU - "Sony's Spider-Man Universe" with "Venom: Let There Be Carnage" and "Spider-Man: No Way Home" scheduled to hit theaters this year apart from Jared Leto's "Morbius" will follow early next year, and "Kraven The Hunter" is set for 2023. ## Stay tuned...

Robert Oppenheimer, the scientist who is considered one of the developers of the atom bomb during World War II.
