Black Panther Actress Angela Bassett Have Faith In Director Ryan Coogler To Make Black Panther 2 Glorious

Los Angeles, May 19, 2021: Marvel Cinematic Universe's (MCU) next superhero film, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, is set to begin filming in July this year. The squeal of MCU's first Oscar-winner in Black Panther will be one of the most emotional productions in MCU's history. ## Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will be without the original Black Panther, Chadwick Boseman, who died in August last year. Boseman's emotional connection with fans will be missed in the sequel, but Marvel is sure that the "Wakanda Forever" will take the franchise to the next level. For the good of the sequel, nearly every major star from the original film is coming back to reprise their role and everyone is dedicated to making sure Chadwick's memory lives on. ## That includes Ramonda star Angela Bassett, who plays the role of Black Panther/T'Challa's mother in the film. She is excited to return to the wide world of Marvel and confident that Ryan Coogler, the writer-director of Black Panther, will make the sequel a glorious one. ## "I'm excited, as you can imagine, very excited. Of course, there'll be some changes we know - we know we won't have our heart and soul right there at the center in Chadwick, but in spirit, I know that he will be with us from day one through infinity", Bassett spoke with Good Morning America (via thedirect). ## Since Chadwick Boseman won't be there in the sequel, the Black Panther fans are worried about this Marvel's next gem. However, Bassett assured fans that they don't have to worry about a thing with director Ryan Coogler at the helm, who is earless, wonderful, and visionary. ## "Black Panther fans don't have to worry about a thing because we have our fearless, wonderful, visionary leader Ryan Coogler there, you know, on the script and their directing. I have no doubt that it will be glorious, that it will be wonderful. He's a visionary, an auteur, he's a kind of gentle soul and he encourages you in his own particular way, his own sweet way, gentle, insistent way to give your best, so I have absolute faith in him", she added. ## Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is scheduled to hit theaters on 8 July 2022. ## Stay tuned...

Iconic MGM Film Studio Sold To Amazon For $8.45 Billion In A Landmark Deal

California, May 18, 2021: Amazon.com Inc., an American tech giant, has bought the iconic movie studio MGM (Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer) for a massive $8.45 billion in a landmark deal, according to The Hollywood Reporter.. ## MGM, a nearly century-old Hollywood company, behind the James Bond series, also owns the Epix cable channel and makes TV shows, including popular shows like The Handmaid's Tale, Fargo, Vikings, and Shark Tank, would help bolster Amazon's Prime streaming service. ## "The real financial value behind this deal is the treasure trove of IP in the deep catalog that we plan to reimagine and develop together with MGM's talented team. It's very exciting and provides so many opportunities for high-quality storytelling", said Mike Hopkins, senior VP of Prime Video and Amazon Studios, in announcing the acquisition. ## The new deal between Amazon and MGM will add a vast collection of Hollywood classics and franchises to Amazon's mix. MGM boasts a film library of around 4,000 titles and 17,000 hours of TV programming, including the Bond, Rocky/Creed, and The Hobbit film franchises. ## Amazon and MGM both had earlier declined to comment on the development. The report says that the deal is orchestrated by Amazon Studios and Prime Video senior vice president Mike Hopkins, along with MGM board chairman Kevin Ulrich.## MGM has been seen as a takeover target for years but was never able to close a sale. It was earlier reported that MGM is in talks with Apple, and Netflix about taking its new James Bond film directly to streaming. However, the company said last year that it's committed to a theatrical release for the film, which is currently slated for Oct. 8 in the U.S.## In December last year, Reuters reported that the movie studio was exploring a sale and had tapped investment banks Morgan Stanley and LionTree LLC and started a formal sale process.## Stay tuned...

Zack Snyder Hopes Warner Bros. Will Let Him Make More DC Films In Future

Los Angeles, May 16, 2021: Hollywood filmmaker, Zack Snyder's recently released Snyder cut version of 2017's "Justice League" movie, is getting a lot of appreciation than the original film. After the "Snyder Cut" version released, fans have been demanding Zack Snyder to make more DC films in the future and the director hopes Warner Bros. will let him do so. ## "I don't know what could be done as you go forward other than, I think the fan movement is so strong and the fan community is so, the intention is so pure, and I really have huge respect for it", the director said in an interview with Jake's Takes, according to contactmusic.com.## "I would hope that cooler heads would prevail with them and that they would see that there's this massive fandom that wants more of them, but who knows what they'll do", he added. ## Zack Snyder has directed DC films such as "Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice", "Man Of Steel", and "Watchmen" in the past. He was also making "Justice League" in 2017, but he had to take a break to mourn the death of his daughter Autumn. ## After Snyder opted out, Joss Whedon replaced him and changed the film completely from originally planned and underwent major changes before and during production between 2016 and 2017. It was a move that has been criticized by fans as it fails to impress them. A big campaign subsequently broke out in Snyder's support. ## The Snyder version of Justice League was released on March 18 on Warner Bros' streaming platform, HBO Max. It cost around $70 million to complete the visual effects, score, and editing, with new material filmed in October 2020. The release was originally planned as both a six-episode miniseries and a four-hour film, but the miniseries concept was scrapped by January 2021.## Stay tuned...

California Governor Adds $30 Million To 'California Roars Back' Plan To Boost Film Industry

Los Angeles, May 15, 2021: After dealing with the devastating covid-19 pandemic, the world entertainment industries have started to open up slowly. To make the film industry's recovery fast, many states and governments are announcing financial plans to lure more productions. ## California Governor Gavin Newsom on Friday announced a new measure to attract productions to the Golden State by adding $30 million from California's $75 billion budget surplus, to its film and television tax incentive program.## Newsom, who is facing a recall, announced the move as part of his $100 billion “California Roars Back” plan, which he laid out during a press conference Friday afternoon from Sacramento. This move would boost the existing 330 million dollars tax credit program by nearly 10 percent, allowing the state to dole out a total of 360 million dollars annually to qualify film and television projects. ## "This is an opportunity for those productions, TV, and others, in places like Georgia, whose values don't necessarily always align with the production crews, to consider coming back to the state of California", said the governor to The Hollywood Reporter, taking a swipe at the Peach State and its controversial voter law. "And that's what that $30 million intends to do". ## This new plan was applauded by the entertainment industry immediately. According to Los Angeles City's Economic and Workforce Department, the industry brought more than 30 billion dollars annually to California and supported more than 200,000 local jobs before the COVID-19 pandemic.## California Film Commission Executive Director, Colleen Bell said, "Governor Newsom's announcement to expand the film and TV tax credit program is great news for California. The additional 30 million dollars in funding will be allocated to relocating TV series, which bring long-term, high-wage jobs and significant production spending to our state. To date, our tax credit program has welcomed 23 relocating series from other states and countries. The additional funding will enable us to grow that positive impact". ## Stay tuned...

'Free and Safe'. The same state that is perpetrating military occupation, land theft, and ethnic cleansing against the people of Palestine. #FreePalestine".## Stay tuned...
