Bengaluru, May 14 - Executive producer at Hombale Films, Karthik Gowda has clarified that the studio will not be starting working on KGF Chapter 3 anytime soon. The statement from Gowda comes a few hours after the reports of Hombale Films head, Vijay Kiragandur confirming the development of the third installment of the film. ## Earlier in the day, it was reported that Vijay Kiragandur had confirmed that the shooting of KGF 3 will kick-start from October this year after completing the Salaar shoot. Producer Vijay Kiragandur Confirms 'KGF Chapter 3' To Begin This Year

Bengaluru, May 14 - KGF franchise producer, Vijay Kiragandur has confirmed the next instalment of this blockbuster series. KGF has undoubtedly one of the most loved film franchises in India and now, the makers are planning to make it as big as Marvel movies. ## Fronted by superstar Yash, KGF Chapter 2, was released in theaters worldwide on April 14 last month and shattered box office records by grossing over 1150 crores. The movie is still playing in theaters and has a shot to go past 1200 crores worldwide gross. For the Indian HGOTY title, there was a clear battle between "KGF 2" and SS Rajamouli's "RRR", and it is the former that is taking the honour, though a lot to happen with blockbuster titles releasing throughout the year. ## Directed by Prashanth Neel, "KGF Chapter 2" has stormed past 1100 crores worldwide through 4th Friday. It will most likely outdo "RRR" with today's (4th Saturday) collection. "RRR", starring Jr. NTR/Ram Charan is nearing its end and has grossed 1112 crores through 6 weeks. The collection of "RRR" includes 904 crores domestically and 208 crores from overseas. ## While there won't be much difference between the two movies as far as the lifetime box office collections are concerned, "KGF Chapter 2's" overall total got a huge boost from the Hindi version with 400 crores net mark as compared to 265 crores of "RRR". Bengaluru, May 6 - Yash-starrer "KGF Chapter 2" has been on a record-breaking box office run since its launch on April 14 and has set new standards for the upcoming movies. On top of that, the Prashanth Neel-directed movie has now become the second highest-grossing movie of all time at the domestic box office, beating SS Rajamouli's "RRR". ## "KGF Chapter 2" has grossed over 910 crores at the Indian box office for all languages through the third Thursday. It is only the second film after "Baahubali 2 The Conclusion" to have crossed the 900 crores mark in India. Rajamouli's recently released "RRR" has so far grossed 898+ crores and still running in select theaters. It will end its run crossing the 900 crores mark in coming days. ## Talking about the Yash-fronted, it has become an all-time blockbuster in the dubbed Hindi version with a net collection nearing the 400 crores mark. Through third Thursday (May 5), the movie has scored approx. 398 crores or 470 crores gross, which is the second highest-ever in Hindi after "Baahubali 2" (510.99 cr). It has become the first movie ever to score 100 crores gross collection each in 4 Indian languages. ## Directed by Prashanth Neel, "KGF Chapter 2" was delayed multiple times due to the covid-19 pandemic, but the craze among the fans was never dropped despite the forced delays. In fact, the buzz around this movie kept increasing, especially among the Hindi audiences. It took just 18 days for KGF 2 to reach this magical box office figure.
