Mumbai, May 27 - Director Prashanth Neel's KGF: Chapter 2 has had a glorious run at the Hindi box office. The Yash-starrer period action drama film has performed way better than the expectations which were already high.## KGF 2 has completed six blockbuster weeks at the box office and its run is finally coming to an end. In its box office run so far, the movie faced stiff competition from Bollywood biggies but emerged top performer every time to score a whopping Rs. 433.74 crores, including Rs. 2.79 crores in the 6th week. ## Produced by Hombale Films, KGF 2 will be wrapped up with a little under/over Rs. 435 crores net, as the second biggest grosser ever in Hindi languages, behind only SS Rajamouli's epic blockbuster Baahubali 2 The Conclusion, which had scored Rs. 510.99 crores in 2017. Already a huge name in the Kannada film industry, Yash has proved himself as a 'watch me out' to the Indian audiences after bringing back the golden era of Indian cinema with the KGF franchise. ## It is quite obvious for Yash to now do larger-than-life movies with global reach. KGF producer Vijay Kiragandur of Hombale Films also thinks the same as he believes that the 36-year-old actor should now do only Pan-Indian movies. ## During a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, Vijay Kiragandur was talking about the success of KGF Chapter 2 and its lead hero Yash, who has gained immense popularity with the role of Rocky he played in the movie. Lauding the actor, the producer said, "Now, he's the big Indian star, not just a Kannada star or Southern star. With KGF: Chapter 2, he has become an Indian star".## "The way he carried out the mannerisms in the movie, he gained a lot of fan base across the world. He's going to do only pan-Indian movies from now on. He has reached that level. So he can't do any smaller movies in the future (smiles). Hombale Films Produced Rishab Shetty's 'Kantara' To Have A Pan-India Release; Producer Hints

Bengaluru, May 25 - The biggest Kannada production and the powerful force behind the KGF franchise, Hombale Films is aiming to deliver 1 Pan-India film every year. The studio, headed by Vijay Kiragandur, has so far released two Pan-India films in the form of KGF movies, and the result is there for anyone to see. ## Hombale Films currently has 14 films under pipeline and a few of them will have Pan-India releases. Rishab Shetty's action thriller, Kantara, which was announced last year, might have a multilingual release. The film deals with the human vs nature conflict but with a twist of fantasy. ## Producer Vijay Kiragandur, who has produced this film under Homable Films, said in a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama that they are contemplating releasing Kantara in multiple languages, including Hindi. "We'll decide on May 25. That's when we'll see the first cut. It looks pretty good to have a multilingual role, but the final decision will be taken once we see the film", he said. ## Apart from playing the lead role, Rishab Shetty has himself directed the movie from his own script. It also stars Kishore, Achuth Kumar, Sapthami Gowda, and Pramod Shetty, among others in prominent roles. The teaser of the film was released in April this year which got excellent responses all around. ## Apart from the aforementioned films, Hombale Films has one of the highly-anticipated Pan-India films in its kitty in the form of Salaar, starring superstar Prabhas in the title role. After delivering all-time Pan-India blockbusters in the form of KGF films, the studio is now tightening its grip on another Pan-India biggie, "Salaar" starring superstar Prabhas. ## The success of "KGF Chapter 2" has tempted the makers to aim big with "Salaar" and as expected, they are working towards making this Prashanth Neel-directed movie the biggest in Indian cinema. Around 30 percent of the film has already been shot and the rest of the shoot will be completed by the end of this year before the movie gets ready for the Summer 2023 release. ## During the recent interview with Pinkvilla, producer Vijay Kiragandur of Hombale Films said that they are putting their best efforts to achieve big with the upcoming film. "We have set the bar very high for Salaar. After the blockbuster box office success of "KGF Chapter 2", the studio officially launched their next movie with Muhurtha shot on May 20, Friday. ## The movie was announced way back in 2020 with the first look poster, featuring Srii Murli as a Cop. The script of "Bagheera" is written by Prashanth Neel while it will be directed by Dr. Suri. The movie marks the second collaboration between Neel and Srii Murli, after 2014's flick Ugramm. The period action drama has beaten Thalapathy Vijay's, Beast, to become the top Tamil Nadu grosser of the year.
