Bengaluru, September 23 - Kannada superstar Kichcha Sudeepa's action-adventure thriller film Vikrant Rona has been receiving a thundering response on ZEE5. The movie started premiering digitally on September 2 after becoming a box office hit, grossing over 100 crores worldwide. ## After its successful outing at the box office, "Vikrant Rona" continued its good run on the streaming platform as well as it has crossed 1000 million or 100 crores viewing minutes on ZEE5, announced the makers. Kichcha Sudeepa took to Twitter and thanked the audience for the overwhelming response to the movie.## Directed by Anup Bhandari, the story of the movie revolves around a remote village in the middle of tropical rainforest which starts witnessing a series of unexplainable events which are attributed to the supernatural. ## Sudeepa plays the title role of Inspector Vikrant Rona along with Nirup Bhandari, Neetha Ashok, and Jacqueline Fernandez in key roles. Bengaluru, September 17 - The Kannada film industry is flying high after the mega-blockbuster success of KGF: Chapter 2, and now, the industry is looking to score another big success with the upcoming period gangster drama film Kabzaa. ## The teaser of Upendra and Kichcha Sudeepa-fronted was released on Saturday (Sept. 17) and it brings back the vibes of KGF. The movie revolves around a 1947 Gandhi follower and a freedom fighter and how they were brutally attacked. Due to unavoidable circumstances, the freedom fighter's son gets trapped in the mafia world and the story unfolds between 1947 to 1984.## The teaser did not reveal any story or dialogues, but it still managed to leave a mark, thanks to the Ravi Basrur standout background score which perfectly syncs with the theme of the movie. Upendra is playing the lead role of a gangster while it also stars Shriya Saran as the female lead. ## "Kabzaa" will be a Pan India film that will release in seven Indian languages, including Kannada, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Odia, and Marathi. Mumbai, September 15 - Filmmaker Mahesh Manjrekar spoke highly about Kannada's blockbuster film franchise KGF and called it the industry-saving film. The filmmaker graced a star-studded event, held at a five-star hotel in Mumbai on September 14, where some of the most prominent personalities of Marathi cinema were present. ## Mahesh Manjrekar was speaking in the context of giving more importance to regional cinema and said that the Kannada industry is the prime example of it, which, the filmmaker believed, was changed because of one person. ## "Some years back, the condition of the Kannada film industry was such that it seemed like it would shut down anytime. But there was one person who believed in making a film and spending a lot of money on it. That person (probably referring to producer Vijay Kiragandur) made a film named KGF and it created history.## "What makes me happy is that they didn't make both parts of KGF in Hindi. They shot the film in Kannada, dubbed it in Hindi aur fir audience ke sir ke upar feka!", he said, according to Bollywood Hungama. ## "I envy these guys. I would have loved to do something like this. It is superb", the "Antim" director added. "We have to shout from the rooftops that Marathi cinema is (also) great. There's no dearth of talent when it comes to Marathi cinema. Then what is it that we are lacking? We also need people who believe in our vision. It's crucial that we make big-scale films, that too with conviction and confidence".## The filmmaker further said that investors should also believe in Marathi cinema and its filmmaker like Vijay Kiragandur believed in director Prashanth Neel's vision and Yash's confidence, called KGF. "Somebody has to believe in us and spend money, like the way KGF producers did. I mean, come on, KGF - Chapter 2 collected Rs. 1000 crores! Can you imagine?", he added.## "KGF" was released in 2018 and went on to become the highest-grossing Kannada film of all time before its sequel came in 2022 and shattered box office records at the Pan India level. Released in April 2022, "KGF: Chapter 2" grossed over 1200 crores worldwide, including approx. 1000 crores in India alone. Bengaluru, July 20 - Kannada superstar Yash, who has taken a giant step in becoming the next Pan India sensation, has completed 14 years in Kannada cinema. His journey so far has been nothing short of a roller coaster ride which is finally paying off. ## Yash made his debut in 2007 with "Jambada Hudugi" and also won the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor for his second film "Mogina Manasu". Bengaluru, July 11 - Kichcha Sudeep's long-awaited action-adventure film, Vikrant Rona is gearing up to hit worldwide screens on July 28. The movie has created a very good buzz around it and looking all set to take a big opening at the box office. ## The multilingual movie, directed by Anup Bhandari, is one of the biggest Kannada movies of the year, and very rightly, the makers are putting all their efforts to release the movie on the maximum number of screens all over India. After "KGF 2", it could be the biggest Kannda release ever as it is also expected to get good screens for other languages too, especially Hindi which will be presented by superstar Salman Khan. ## Meanwhile, the makers are similarly targeting to grab as many screens as possible outside the domestic market. Bengaluru, July 9 - The heartwarming tale between a man and a dog in a little movie called "777 Charlie" is now worth Rs. 100 crores. ## The Rakshit Shetty-starrer adventure comedy-drama film was an underdog at the box office before its release on June 10 but packed a solid punch once it came out in cinemas. Directed by Kiranraj K., "777 Charlie" has crossed the 100 crores gross mark at the worldwide box office on its 30th day and becomes the second Kannada movie of 2022 to do so. ## The film never scored over-the-top collection at any point in its run so far but managed to put up a consistent show at the box office as it never went off track, resulting in a mega-blockbuster performance. It is, as said before, one of the most profitable Kannada movies of all time. ## After "KGF: Chapter 2" in April, "777 Charlie" was another Kannada movie that had a Pan India release. While "KGF 2" performed extraordinarily in other languages apart from the original Kannada version, the Rakshit Shetty-starrer mainly scored in the Kannada version with over 65 crores net. The Hindi version too has performed well with approx. 8 crores net collection.## The movie is produced by G. S. Gupta and Rakshit Shetty under the banner of Paramvah Studios, "777 Charlie" stars Charlie, a labrador dog in the titular role, and Rakshit Shetty alongside Sangeetha Sringeri, Raj B. 'Charlie 777' Makers To Share Profit Among The Team Members of The Film and NGOs Across The Country

Bengaluru, July 6 - Actor-filmmaker, Rakshit Shetty's 777 Charlie has been one of the biggest success stories of Indian cinema in 2022. The movie has gained immense appreciation all over the country and has proved to be a bonafide box office blockbuster, turning into one of the most profitable Kannada movies of all time. ## Written and directed by Kiranraj K.
