Hyderabad, December 30 - Telugu superstar Allu Arjun's "Pushpa - The Rise", co-starring Rashmika Mandanna, is turning out to be another successful affair at the box office for him. The action-thriller, directed by Sukumar, is nearing Rs. 200 crores net at the Indian box office, set to become the first Indian film in 2021 to achieve the feat.## "Pushpa - The Rise" marks Allu Arjun's maiden Pan-India film. Apart from Telugu, the first of the two-part film also released in Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam languages. It has so far grossed approx 77 crores in languages other than Telugu. After Telugu, Hindi has been the best performing language for the film with a gross collection of Rs. 53 crores in the first 13 days.## Allu Arjun's popularity has been on the rise, especially in North India for the last few years, so the success of "Pushpa - The Rise" isn't surprising at all. Nellore, December 25 - V Epiq, the largest theater screen of India, has shut down its operation due to the low ticket prices. Situated in Sullurpet, Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh, the V Epiq screen is 100ft in width and 85ft in height, and is one of the largest in the world. ## It has come to the light that the V Epiq screen has suspended operations from yesterday (December 24) onwards due to Andhra Pradesh Government's restrictions on Ticket Prices. It is reported that the highest price of a movie ticket in the theater was just Rs. 35, which is among the lowest in the state. The theater owners reportedly said that they will lose more money by running it than staying shut. ## The V Epiq screen was opened on August 30, 2019, with Prabhas' starrer "Saaho". It was the third-largest screen in the world at the time of its opening. And now, the screen had to shut as it was not being able to generate enough revenue to stay open.## The situation of theaters in Andhra Pradesh is getting worst day by day as the government is looking in a revenge mood. As per reports, as many as 50 centers in the Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh were seized on Friday, and so were all 7 of the cinema halls in Madanapalle, Chittoor district.## The unfortunate closure of theatres in the state is badly affecting the business of Nani-starrer "Shyam Singha Roy", which hit the big screens on Friday (Dec. 24). Actor Nani is one of the Telugu actors, who has been critical of the state government for controlling the ticket prices of movies in theaters. ## Earlier, yesterday, during the media interaction, Nani called the ongoing situation "an insult" to the industry.
