Mumbai, November 29 - Yash Raj Films has locked the Independence Day weekend release for the highly-awaited spy actioner War 2, directed by Ayan Mukerji. It is the sixth instalment in the YRF's ambitious Spy Universe and sequel to 2019's movie, directed by Siddharth Anand. ## Hrithik Roshan will reprise his role as RAW agent Kabir from the first movie and this, he will be up against Telugu superstar Jr. NTR who marks his Bollywood debut with this movie. Kiara Advani reportedly plays the female lead alongside Sharvari Wagh. ## On Wednesday (November 29), Yash Raj Films locked the 14 August 2025 release date for "War 2", according to veteran trade expert Taran Adarsh. Earlier, the studio had announced Republic Day 2025 release plans for the movie but it has now moved to Independence Day weekend in the same year and it will have a Thursday release. ## The shoot of "War 2" has already commenced with body doubles but Hrithik and Jr. NTR will join the shoot in February. Jr. NTR is currently shooting for Koratala Siva's "Devara" which will be released in April next year. Mumbai, November 28 - Bollywood superstar Salman Khan recently confirmed during an interview that he will next be doing an action thriller film titled The Bull which will be directed by "Shershaah" fame Vishnuvardhan and produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions.## The film was supposed to go on floors in November this year but now according to a report by Pinkvilla, the shoot of "The Bull" will commence in February and will go on till August 2024. Salman has allotted bulk dates to this big-scale entertainer which is believed to be based on the true events. ## The report further revealed that Salman will be going through a physical transformation for the movie and the process has already begun. The audience will see the leaner version of the "Sultan" star and he will be seen as a paramilitary officer in the film which is based on one of the most heroic missions conducted by the Indian Army. ## "The Bull" was earlier planned to have a Christmas 2024 release but now, according to the report, it will most likely be the Eid 2025 release, however, the exact release date is not known yet. Mumbai, November 28 - The advance booking of Ranbir Kapoor's gangster action drama Animal is continuing with strong momentum and is on track to score one of the highest pre-sales for a Bollywood ever for the opening day as well as the weekend. ## Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, "Animal" has crossed 10 crores gross advance booking collection with nearly 3 days left for the first show to begin. The pace is better than the recently release "Tiger 3", starring Salman Khan and trailing behind Shah Rukh Khan's "Jawan" at the same time. ## The film has sold over 350K tickets so far, which included 285K+ tickets in the Hindi version and 65K in the dubbed versions. Delhi is leading the pre-sales chart, followed by two Telugu states. 'Animal' and 'Sam Bahadur' To Repeat 'Oh My Gadar 2' Success At The Box Office?

Mumbai, November 26 - The Hindi box office showed its potential when Sunny Deol's "Gadar 2" and Akshay Kumar's "OMG 2" combined grossed approximately 800 crores in India after getting a same-day and date release, on August 11, 2023. This was the highest combined total of two Bollywood movies that were released on the same day.## In Gadar 2 and OMG 2 clash, fondly called "Oh My Gadar 2", the former created records by becoming the highest net-grosser ever in Hindi before the record was broken by Shah Rukh Khan's "Jawan". The Akshay Kumar-starrer sequel too had a big success despite the clash and emerged as much needed hit for the actor. ## Almost three months later, Bollywood is again in the same position when two much-awaited films, Ranbir Kapoor-led Animal, and Vicky Kaushal-starrer Sam Bahadur are releasing on the same day, December 1st. The initial indications suggest that both movies may have success at the box office despite competing against each other, just like "Oh My Gadar 2". ## The advance booking of both films opened yesterday and the initial trend indicates Animal going Gadar 2 way while Sam Bahadur repeating OMG 2. In the Independence Day weekend clash, G2 was the leader in the advances since day 1 while OMG 2 was the second choice and the same is very much expected in the upcoming clash as well. ## It may not be possible for "Animal" to beat the numbers of "Gadar 2" due to the film's adult rating and lengthy runtime but it can still top 400 crores net if the word of mouth is positive. "Sam Bahadur", on the other hand, is likely to play like "OMG 2" and maybe go on to beat its numbers.## In a positive piece of news, both "Animal" and "Sam Bahadur" can play to their full potential for at least three weeks during which no other Hindi film is scheduled to release. The former has the added advantage of South India due to the Sandeep Reddy Vanga factor but there is Nani's "Hi Nanna" scheduled for a December 7 release which can give competition in Telugu. ## As said, if word of mouth is positive for both Hindi films, then "Animal" is expected to win the race while the "Sam Bahadur" team won't be disappointed either if the movie gets what it deserves. Mumbai, November 25 - The advance booking of Ranbir Kapoor-led gangster action drama Animal is off to a solid start in India, selling over 30K tickets worth around 1 crore gross in no time for the opening day. The full-fledged advances will commence on Sunday, November 26 all over India. ## Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, "Animal" has been a hugely anticipated film and the expectations increased multi-fold after the trailer which was launched on November 23. The trailer got massive appreciation all around and this has been a big factor in the initial response to the pre-sales. ## The national chain, PVR-INOX opened pre-sales today (November 25) and within hours, the film sold over 7500 tickets, and including Cinepolis, it has sold around 10K tickets in the three national chains. The initial indications promise huge advance booking of the movie which is expected. ## Apart from India, the response to pre-sales of "Animal" has been very good so far in some of the key international markets. Mumbai, November 23 - Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor and director Sandeep Reddy Vanga have teamed up for the first time for a gangster action drama film, titled Animal. The movie is scheduled to release on December 1st, and unsurprisingly, it has been certified with an "A" rating by CBFC with an approved runtime of 3 hours and 21 minutes, making it one of the longest Indian films ever. ## Sandeep Reddy Vanga has directed three films including "Animal" and all three got approved by CBFC with the adult certificate. The previous two films, the Telugu hardcore romantic drama "Arjun Reddy" and its Hindi remake "Kabir Singh" were massive box office successes and now, "Animal" is expected to join the list. ## Interestingly, "Kabir Singh" starring Shahid Kapoor is the biggest "A" rated Indian opener with over 20 crores net and is also the highest-grossing adult-rated film with approx. 377 crores worldwide. "Animal", despite its lengthy runtime, will be eyeing to claim the top spot that too by a huge margin. ## The trailer of the film was launched on November 23 and it got a tremendous reception all around. The trade already had high expectations from the movie at the box office and now after the excellent response to the trailer, the anticipation has increased multifold and it should easily emerge as the biggest opener in the "A" rated category. ## Since the advance booking has not opened yet (scheduled to start on November 26), it is still premature to predict the opening of the film, however, given the talent involved in it and the excellent response to the trailer, "Animal" will challenge the opening of "Sanju" which is Ranbir's biggest opener to date in Hindi with 34.75 crores net. ## "Animal" is expected to do very well in the dubbed versions, especially in Telugu due to Sandeep Reddy Vanga's factor as well as Ranbir Kapoor who had success with his recent movies in South. The Maneesh Sharma's directorial movie reached the milestone in 11 days. ## "Tiger 3", which is a part of Yash Raj Films Spy Universe, grossed around 9 crores worldwide on its 11th day which took its total collection to over 403 crores. In India, the film has minted around 300 crores while overseas collection is approx. 103 crores so far. ## In the Spy Universe, the latest blockbuster is the 4th movie out of 5 to top 400 crores gross worldwide. Only "Ek Tha Tiger", which was the first film in the Spy Universe and was a big blockbuster, finished under 400 crores worldwide as it grossed 320 crores.## "Tiger 3" is likely to finish around the numbers of Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff-led "War" which grossed 471 crores worldwide in 2019, and is currently the third highest-grossing film in the Spy Universe after "Pathaan" (1055 crores) and "Tiger Zinda Hai" (558 crores).## The movie, which follows the events of TZH, War, and Pathaan, is a rare Bollywood movie to release on Sunday, that too on the day of Diwali.
