Mumbai, April 11 - The Bollywood box office sees a low response on Eid day as both the big releases of the day, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, and Maidaan fail to capture the attention of moviegoers with underwhelming numbers. ## Both films are struggling to reach the 20 crore net mark combined which is disappointing. According to early estimates, Akshay Kumar, and Tiger Shroff-fronted BMCM scores around 15-16 crores net collection, all thanks to the last-minute push in advances and Eid holiday factor. ## After the initial response in pre-sales, BMCM was heading for a low double-digit start but got some sort of momentum in the final hours and spot booking to get a little push in the collection. The movie needs a big push over the weekend to get a respectable weekend total. ## Ajay Devgn-fronted Maidaan, which is more of a multiplex film, scores an estimated 4.50-5 crores net collection on opening day. It minted around 2.50 crores in Wednesday paid previews, so the full first-day total is around 7+ crores, which would have been decent had it been a pure opening day. ## Maidaan is likely to see a good jump over the weekend due to positive word of mouth. Mumbai, April 7 - In one of the major surprises of the year, Tabu, Kareena Kapoor, and Kriti Sanon-fronted heist comedy film Crew has topped 100 crores at the worldwide box office and emerged as a hit venture for the makers. ## Directed by Lootcase fame Rajesh A Krishnan, the all-female-led entertainer reached the 100 crore gross globally on its 10th day and becomes the 5th Bollywood film of 2024 to achieve the feat after Fighter, Shaitaan, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya and Article 370. ## Crew has grossed approximately 69 crores (including an estimated second Sunday collection) in India and an estimated 36 crores overseas for 105+ crores worldwide gross in 10 days. With this, it has surpassed the total collection of Article 370 and becomes the 4th highest-grossing Bollywood film of the year. ## It has become Kareena Kapoor's 12th film to enter the 100 crores worldwide box office club while for Tabu, Crew is her 11th film (including supporting roles), and 6th for Kriti Sanon. Mumbai, April 5 - Director Vikas Bahl's supernatural thriller Shaitaan has screamed past 200 crores gross at the worldwide box office, becoming the second Bollywood and third Indian movie of 2024 to achieve the feat after Figther and Hanuman. ## Starring Ajay Devgn, Jyothika, R. Madhava, and Janki Bodiwala, Shaitaan has grossed approximately 166.75 crores in India and an estimated 33.25 crores overseas in 4 weeks (28 days) for worldwide 200 crores gross. The movie is likely to score another 3-4 crores gross to finish around 205 crores. ## Shaitaan is the 6th film for Ajay Devgn to enter the 200 crores worldwide gross club, after Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, Drishyam 2, Golmaal Again, Total Dhamaal, and Singham Returns while R. Mumbai, April 2 - Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon finally scored a success in the form of romantic-comedy Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya. Directed by Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah, the film was released during Valentine's Day week on February 9. ## The Maddock Films and Jio Studios' production wasn't loved by most critics but audiences showered praise towards the film that translated into a box office hit. TBMAUJ opened to decent numbers of approximately 6.70 crores net, followed by the opening weekend of 28+ crores net. ## The movie showed consistency during the weekdays and jumped on weekends to stay afloat and did enough to emerge a much-needed box office success for the lead actors.
