Makers Lock Female Cast For Akshay Kumar-Fronted 'Sky Force'

Mumbai, May 23 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar recently kicked off the shooting of Maddock Film's ambitious aerial action thriller Sky Force which is being directed by Sandeep Kelwani and Abhishek Kapur. ## The movie is set against the backdrop of the Indian Air Force based on true events. Akshay plays the role of an Air Force officer while it was revealed recently that Veer Pahariya, the son of renowned businessman Sanjay Pahariya has been roped in to play a key role in his acting debut. ## Now, according to Peepingmoon.com, the makers have also locked the female cast. The report revealed that Akshay's former co-stars Nimrat Kaur and Sara Ali Khan have been roped in to play the female leading roles in the movie. ## Nimrat previously starred alongside in the "Airlift" while Sara Ali Khan featured with the superstar in "Atragni Re". Both actresses will reportedly be seen playing small yet crucial roles in this aviation thriller and are excited to reunite with Khiladi Kumar once again. ## "Sky Force" is being produced by Dinesh Vijan (Maddock Films), Jyoti Deshpande (Jio Studios), and Amar Kaushik. The movie will be shot in real locations to maintain the authentic touch and will be shot on a massive scale across numerous air bases in Gujarat, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Assam over a four-month period. Mumbai, May 22 - The Kerala Story is continuing to do well at the box office after scoring another fantastic third weekend. It scored around 27 crores net in its third weekend and takes the total collection to over 198 crores in just 17 days. ## Directed by Sudipto Sen, The Kerala Story will cross the 200 crores net mark sometime today and will become only the 2nd Bollywood as well as the Indian movie of 2023 to reach this milestone. Superstar Shah Rukh Khan's all-time blockbuster Pathaan is currently the highest-grossing Indian movie of the year with over 540 crores net. ## The Adash Sharma-fronted is also the second highest-grossing Bollywood movie of the year at the worldwide box office. It is grossed over 240 crores worldwide so far, surpassing the lifetime total of Tu Jhooti Main Makkaar's 223 crores gross. ## The Kerala Story has grossed around 235 crores domestically and approx. 7.50 crores overseas through the third Sunday. Mumbai, May 21 - Yash Raj Films' blockbuster sequel War 2 locks Republic Day 2025 weekend as the release date. ## The blockbuster spy thriller has been in the news over the last few weeks regarding its casting after the studio pulled off a casting coup for this biggie by bringing Telugu superstar Jr. NTR on board to lock horns with Hrithik Roshan. ## The "Brahmastra" director Ayan Mukerji was revealed as the director who will be helming the sequel which will go on floors by November or December this year. Mumbai, May 18 - Director Sudipto Sen's drama film The Kerala Story crossed the 200 crores gross mark at the worldwide box office within two weeks, becoming only the third Bollywood movie of the year to do so. ## The movie, based on true incidents, hits the double-century mark on its 13th day and currently stands at a little over 200 crores gross mark. In India, The Kerala Story has grossed approx. 194 crores (164.59 crores net) while the overseas collection is approx. 6 crores in 13 days.## The Kerala Story was released on May 12 in overseas markets and will debut in the UK on May 19. Made on a low budget, TKS has emerged as one of the biggest blockbusters post the covid-19 pandemic. It is currently the 3rd highest-grossing Bollywood movie of the year, behind only "Pathaan" (1050 crore) and "Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar" (223 crores). ## Produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah under the banners of Sunshine Pictures, the movie stars Adah Sharma in the lead role alongside Yogita Bihani, Sonia Balani, and Siddhi Idnani. Mumbai, May 17 - The Kerala Story is not going to stop anytime soon as it continues to stay over its opening day collection despite nearing its second week. ## After becoming the second highest-grossing Bollywood movie of the year in just 12 days, the blockbuster hit scored an estimated 9-9.50 crores net collection on its second Wednesday. The movie sees a drop of just around 5% which is a remarkable hold. ## The total collection of the movie now reached around 166 crores net, including around 1.50 crores net in the dubbed Telugu version. The weekend of the film is looking to be around 94 crores with two weeks' collections nearing 175 crores net. ## The Kerala Story will cross 200 crores net collection either on its 3rd Saturday or Sunday and become only the 4th Bollywood movie post the covid-19 pandemic to breach this box office milestone. It is set 20 years after the first film and will see Sunny Deol reprising his role along with Ameesha Patel, and grown-up Utkarsh Sharma. ## Now, the makers are planning to re-release "Gadar" in cinemas in a 4K version ahead of its sequel's release. According to Pinkvilla, "Gadar" will be re-released in cinema halls all across the country on June 9, which coincides with the week in which Gadar was released back in the day. ## It is said to be a proper wide re-release as it will also be released in single screens along with multiplex chains. The plan is to prepare the audience for its sequel by showing them what happened in the first part. It is among the most anticipated Bollywood films and easily the biggest film in Shetty's cop universe.## "Singham Again" will go on floors by August this year and will have a grand release during Independence Day weekend 2024. The movie is said to be the continuation of Akshay Kumar-fronted "Sooryavanshi" and Shetty plans to shoot it at various locations in India and abroad, with big-scale action scenes at real locations. ## Meanwhile, Rohit Shetty has roped in a super solid star cast for his biggest film. Box Office: The Kerala Story Second Tuesday Early Estimates

Mumbai, May 16 - Blockbuster The Kerala Story has crossed the 150 crores net mark and becomes the second highest-grossing Bollywood movie of 2023 after another rock-solid day at the box office. ## On its second Tuesday, The Kerala Story sees a negligible drop of just around 5% for an estimated 9.75-10 crores net collection. This takes the total net collection to approx. 157 in just 12 days. It is now only behind Shah Rukh Khan's "Pathaan" which is miles ahead with over 500 crores net. ## As far as the gross collection is concerned, TKS will cross 200 crores at the worldwide box office by tomorrow and will become the third Bollywood movie of the year to do so.
