Countdown Begins For Prabhas-Fronted Epic 'Adipurush'

Mumbai, May 16 - After more than two years of the official announcement, superstar Prabhas-fronted magnum opus Adipurush is now just a month away from its worldwide release on June 16. ## Based on the epic Ramayana, "Adipurush" has been the keenly-awaited Indian blockbuster since its announcement, and as the release date is getting nearer, the excitement among the fans is also building up. The recently launched trailer did the trick and the song 'Jai Shri Ram' is already making waves across the world. ## To begin the one-month countdown, the makers of "Adipurush" released a new poster featuring Prabhas as Lord Ram sitting on Devdatta Nage who plays the role of Hanuman. The scene from which the poster is taken was the major highlight of the trailer and it is going to give the audience an ultimate goosebump moment in theaters. ## "Adipurush" is directed by Om Raut and produced by T-Series, Retrophiles, and UV Creations. It features Prabhas as Lord Rama while Kriti Sanon as Sita, Saif Ali Khan as Raavan, Sunny Singh as Laxman, and Devdatta Nage as Hanuman. Akshay Kumar-Fronted 'Sky Force' Shoot Details Revealed

Mumbai, May 16 - It is known to everyone that Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar is doing an aerial action thriller film, titled Sky Force with Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films and Jio Studios. ## "Sky Force", which is being co-directed by Sandeep Kelwani and Abhishek Kapur, is touted to be a true cinematic tentpole. The movie is based on true events and celebrates one of the greatest triumphs of the Indian Air Force. ## Now, according to Peepingmoon.com, Akshay has allotted 4 months to shoot the film and has already completed a short first schedule, beginning on May 9 in a Mumbai studio. It was a brief schedule where some talkie portions were filmed with Akshay and other cast members.## The report further revealed that the main schedule will begin next month and will continue through October 2023. The action-packed thriller will be shot on a massive scale across numerous air bases in Gujarat, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Assam over a four-month period. Akshay plays the role of an Air Force officer in the movie.## Akshay Kumar has already finished the highly-awaited action entertainer "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan", scheduled to release on Eid 2024, under the direction of Ali Abbas Zafar and will complete the remaining portion for Dharma Productions' C. Shankaran Nair biopic this month before focusing solely on "Sky Force".## Meanwhile, Akki already has a number of films lined up for release this year and next year. Abundantia Entertainment's "Soorarai Pottru" remake is scheduled to release on September 1 while Tinu Desai's "The Great Indian Rescue" is rumored to hitting cinemas in October this year. Mumbai, May 16 - Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan will no longer be a part of Farhan Akhtar's beloved action thriller franchise Don as the actor has reportedly exited the third installment. ## A few days ago, producer Ritesh Sidhwani confirmed in an interview that Farhan Akhtar has been working on the script of "Don 3" and the official announcement regarding the same will be made soon once the script is locked with Shah Rukh Khan returning to the lead. ## Now, according to Pinkvilla, SRK has exited the franchise as the script of the third installment wasn't in the line King Khan wants to do in the future. "SRK is willing to do commercial films that cater to a universal section of the audience, and Don certainly doesn't fit the bracket of cinema that he is willing to do for the coming few years", reveals the report.## SRK has reportedly conveyed his decision of leaving the franchise to the stakeholders at Excel. Farhan Akhtar, meanwhile, is now working on a fresh script and is planning to reboot the franchise with a new leading man. ## It is said that Farhan is already in talks with a hero who has done two films with Excel in the last decade. Mumbai, May 15 - The Kerala Story remains rock solid on its second Monday and is likely to hit the double-digit mark again. ## After scoring an excellent second weekend, the blockbuster hit scored an estimated 9.50-10.50 crores net on Monday, pushing the total net collection to around 147 crores in 11 days. The movie is performing exceptionally well in the Mumbai circuit and is also strong in other markets as well. ## With this sort of trending at the box office, The Kerala Story is bound to cross 200 crores net easily, but from hereon, even 250 crores net looks well within reach. Mumbai, May 15 - Adah Sharma-starrer drama film, The Kerala Story has become the highest-grossing women-centric Indian film of all-time at the domestic box office, beating Kangana Ranaut-fronted "Tanu Weds Manu Returns". ## Directed by Sudipto Sen, "The Kerala Story" has scored 156.69 crores net collection in 12 days, after the massive second-weekend collection of over 50 crores. It has surpassed "Tanu Weds Manu Returns" lifetime total of around 151 crores net to become the number female-led film in India.## Top 3 highest-grossing female-led films in India - ## 1. The Kerala Story - 156.69 Cr (12 days)## 2. Tanu Weds Manu Returns - 150.71 Cr## 3. Gangubai Kathiawadi - 132 cr## As far as 2023 is concerned, "The Kerala Story" also become the second-biggest Bollywood movie after surpassing Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor-fronted "Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar" which scored around 147 crores net collection. While "Jawan" marks his directorial debut in Bollywood, the filmmaker has locked his next but this time as a producer. ## Over the last year, there have been rumours that Varun Dhawan and Atlee would collaborate for a mass entertainer. Varun too has expressed his wish to work with the filmmaker for an out-and-out action entertainer and now, as per the latest reports, the duo is finally coming together.## According to reports, Varun has been in talks with Atlee for a while now and they have finally decided to work together. It further revealed that Atlee would be producing the movie with Murad Khetani. The makers are currently working on finalizing the rest of the cast and crew.## The movie is said to be the adaptation of Thalapathy Vijay's "Theri" in which new characters will be added with a plot twist. Mumbai, May 15 - Bollywood star Ajay Devgn's yet untitled supernatural thriller film with director Vikas Bahl is getting bigger on the casting front with supremely talented actors coming on board. ## After the announcement of the movie recently, the makers roped in R Madhavan to play a key role and now, Tamil actress Jyothika has been confirmed to play a prominent role in the film. This marks Jyotika's return to Hindi cinema after more than two decades. ## The last time Jyotika was seen in a Hindi film was in the multilingual movie "Little John" (2000) which was released in Tamil, Hindi, and English. She made her acting debut with "Doli Saja Ke Rakhna" (1998) and that is the only direct Bollywood movie she has done in her two-decade-plus-long career.## The upcoming movie will see her sharing screen space with Ajay Devgn for the first time. With Ajay Devgn, R Madhavan, and Jyotika on board, audience anticipation for this untitled film is extremely high. The Kerala Story Second Sunday Early Estimates

Mumbai, May 14 - After scoring the biggest single day of its box office run yesterday, The Kerala Story exploded further on its second Sunday to register its biggest day so far.## As per the early estimates, the blockbuster movie scored an estimated 23 crores net collection, including around 50 lacs in the dubbed Telugu version. There is a possibility for the Hindi version to hit 23 crores net today which remains to see. ## The total collection of The Kerala Story has reached around 136 crores net in just 10 days, and it will cross "Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar" by tomorrow or Tuesday to become the second biggest Bollywood movie of the year. TKS is heading for a lifetime finish of over 200 crores net. ## While TKS is performing exceptionally well, Vidyut Jammwal's IB 71 has put in a decent opening weekend total by scoring around 7.50 crores net, after an estimated 3.20 crores net on Sunday. Despite not having a huge buzz, the spy thriller has done well to find its footing in the TKS wave. ## "IB71" will look to finish around 25 crores net which will be a decent result for it as the budget of the movie is not huge. Producer Ritesh Sidhwani Gives A Major Update On Shah Rukh Khan's 'Don 3'

Mumbai, May 14 - The third installment of superstar Shah Rukh Khan's Don has been in the making for a long time but it kept getting delayed. And just when fans' hope started getting shattered, producer Ritesh Sidhwani provides a major update on Don 3. ## During a recent interview, Ritesh Sidhwani confirmed that Farhan Akhtar is in the phase of completing the script soon and once it gets locked, the makers will take the next step. The co-partner with Farhan Akhtar at Excel Entertainment, Ritesh further said that the team is excited and waiting to see Don on the big screen soon. ## The first "Don" movie was released in 2006, followed by the second installment in 2011 with SRK and Priyanka Chopra among others reprising their roles. The first part is the remake of Amitabh Bachchan's 1978 film of the same name as Excel Entertainment bought the rights. ## Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan is currently shooting for Rajkumar Hirani's "Dunki" which is slated to release on Christmas this year (as of now). Mumbai, May 13 - The blockbuster hit The Kerala Story stormed into the 100 crores net club in some style by recording the biggest single-day collection of its box office run so far. ## After scoring an excellent second Friday, the drama film went into beast mode and scored an estimated 19+ crores net collection on its second Saturday. The movie has shot at hitting 20 crores net depending on where the night shows finish. ## The second Saturday collection of the movie takes total domestic cume to around 112 crores in just 9 days, making it the 4th Bollywood movie of the year to enter the 100 crore club. With this, The Kerala Story also crossed Salman Khan's Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan's domestic total of around 110 crores net.## Directed by Sudipto Sen, The Kerala Story is showing the same trend as Vivek Agnihotri's The Kashmir Files on a day-wise basis.
