Mumbai, August 29 - Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao-fronted Stree 2 has crossed the 500 crores gross collection at the Indian box office, becoming the 12th movie ever and only the second of the year to achieve the milestone. ## Directed by Amar Kaushik, the horror-comedy surpassed the 500 crores gross collection in India on its 14th day, becoming one of the fastest to hit the milestone. Mumbai, August 27 - Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao-Fronted horror-comedy Stree 2 is heading towards the 500 crores net club which will make it only the 6th movie ever to do so in Hindi. The film, directed by Amar Kaushik, is by far the biggest Indian blockbuster of the year and one of the biggest of all time. ## Stree 2 was released on August 15, the same week Sunny Deol-fronted Gadar 2 debuted on the big screen last year (August 11). Just like the latest blockbuster, the Gadar sequel also turned out one of the biggest Indian blockbusters ever by earning over 500 crores in net collection and close to 700 crores at the worldwide box office. ## Interestingly, there isn't much difference between the domestic collection of Stree 2 and Gadar 2 in the first 12 days with the Shraddha Kapoor-starrer having a slight edge. Mumbai, August 26 - Maverick director Sandeep Reddy Vanga is set to direct Pan India superstar Prabhas and Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor in his next films. The filmmaker delivered a monstrous blockbuster last year in the form of Ranbir Kapoor-fronted Animal which was the talk of the town after getting released in December.## It has been over 8 months since Animal was released and the fans are now waiting for the filmmaker's next film. During a recent interview, Vanga shared that he already has planned his next two films on which, he would be working for the next four years. ## As known to everyone, the Kabir Singh director has Prabhas-fronted Spirit as his next film. He shared an update that the pre-production work on the movie has already started and will be released in the next 2 years, which means in 2026 only.## The initial plan was to start the filming for Spirit by 2024 end and release it in 2025, however, it seems the shoot will start early next year for the 2026 theatrical debut, as revealed by the filmmaker. The movie will be a pure mass entertainer, unlike the previous 2 films of the director. ## After Spirit, Vanga will start Animal Park which is the sequel to Animal. Ranbir Kapoor will return to reprise his double roles as Ranvijay Singh Balbir and Aziz Haque. There is no shooting timeline set yet but the movie is expected to go on floors by the end of 2026 for a 2028 release. ## Both Spirit and Animal Park will be produced by Bhushan Kumar of T-Series with Vanga's Bhadrakali Pictures. Mumbai, August 25 - Mega blockbuster Stree 2 has a historic second weekend at the domestic box office with well over 90 crores net collection, making it the biggest 2nd weekend ever in Hindi beating Sunny Deol's Gadar 2.## After the excellent opening weekend, followed by the week, the Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao-fronted horror-comedy exploded again in its second frame. Acceptance among all age groups and the lack of major competition are making sure Stree 2 remain one of the best-performing films in recent times. ## Directed by Amar Kaushik, the blockbuster film scored the biggest second Saturday by edging past Animal and repeating the feat, Stree 2 has scored the biggest second Sunday with a very good margin by topping Gadar 2 as early estimates suggest 43-45 crores net on its 11th day. ## The second weekend of Stree 2 is 93+ crores net which is the biggest ever in Hindi, ahead of Gadar 2 which scored approximately 91 crores net last year during the same time. Mumbai, August 25 - Bollywood star Akshay Kumar's action thriller Sky Force has been postponed from October 2nd release. Based on the true events of one of the deadliest air strikes by the Indian Air Force, the movie is directed by Abhishek Kapur and Sandeep Kewlani. ## Produced by Dinesh Vijan of Maddock Films and Jio Studios, Sky Force was supposed to be the studios' next release after the latest box office sensation Stree 2 which has crossed 500 crores gross worldwide. While the reasons for the postponement are not known yet, reports say Sky Force will now be released in January 2025.## Interestingly, the promo of Sky Force was supposed to be attached with Stree 2 in theatres but was postponed, giving the first indication of its delay in the release. The Gandhi Jayanti weekend is now vacant as far as Bollywood is concerned and there are rumours that one big movie might shift to that slot. ## Akshay Kumar plays the role of an Air Force officer in the film which marks the acting debut of Veer Pahariya, the son of renowned businessman Sanjay Pahariya. Mumbai, August 24 - Humongous blockbuster Stree 2 hits the ball out of the park once again to score one of the biggest second Saturdays at the Hindi box office. Depending on how late-night shows go, the movie has a shot at scoring the biggest second Saturday ever in Hindi. ## The lack of competition and the universal acceptance of the movie, Stree 2 exploded today with a jump of nearing 100% which is truly out of the world as day-wise trending has been heavily frontloaded so far. According to early estimates, the horror-comedy scored in the range of 31-33 crores net on its 10th day.## The second Saturday (10th day) collection of Stree 2 is on par or slightly over the film's second-day collection of approx. 31.50 crores net. Mumbai, August 23 - Stree 2 has surpassed 300 crores net at the Indian box office after the sensational hold on its second Friday with collection more or less the same as yesterday. It has become the first film of 2024 to top 300 crores net in Hindi.## Starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, Stree 2 scored the opening week of over 291 crores net which is the 4th biggest ever in Hindi. Since there is no real competition to the movie at the moment, it is now a one-horse race and begins the second weekend with an estimated collection of around 16.50+ crores net.## The total collection of Stree 2 is around 308 crores net in 9 days, surpassing Kalki 2898 AD's 293+ crores net to become the biggest Hindi grosser of the year. Mumbai, August 21 - There is no stopping Stree 2 which has another big day at the box office. The movie continues to trend above expectations during the weekdays after the heavily frontloaded holiday period of Independence Day and Raksha Bandhan. ## The horror-comedy starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao completes 7 days at the box office with a net collection of around 275 crores after an estimated 19-20 crores, with a drop of around 25% on its first Wednesday (7th day). It is one of the biggest non-opening Wednesdays at the Indian box office. ## Stree 2 will finish its 8-day extended first week with a collection of around 290 crores net and will break into the 300 crores net club by the second Friday.
