Mumbai, June 3 - Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor's Mr and Mrs Mahi passes the Monday test with a decent hold with a drop of around 60% from Sunday collection of 5.50 crores net approx.## According to the early estimates, the sports romantic drama scored around 2-2.25 crores net collection on its first Monday/fourth day. The drop from the opening day is around 65% but the first day collection was boosted by cinema lovers day. In real value, the drop from Friday is around 40% which is decent hold. ## The positive word of mouth and the lack of major competition helped the movie to hold well and it now needs this momentum to continue throughout the week. The total collection of the movie after 4 days is approximately 19 crores net and the full week is looking to around 24 crores. ## There will be a horror comedy Munjya released on June 7 which is expected to pause some challenges to Mr and Mrs Mahi due to its connection with Maddock Films' horror comedy universe. Mumbai, June 3 - Tom Hardy is ready to wreak havoc one last time as Marvel anti-hero Venom in the third film of the franchise Venom: The Last Dance. The first trailer of the film was released on Monday to unleash hell. ## Venom 3 has been confirmed to be the last film in the franchise by Sony Pictures, something fans speculated at the time when the title of the movie was announced in 2023. It is the fifth film in Sony's Spider-Man Universe (SSU) and the sequel to Venom: Let There Be Carnage (2021). ## Directed by Kelly Marcel, the movie was officially confirmed at CinemaCon 2022. The first two movies, released in 2018 and 2021, were box office successes, grossing over $1.3 billion worldwide. Venom 3 is touted to be the best film in the franchise. ## Starring Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock and Venom, alongside Chiwetel Ejiofor, Juno Temple, Rhys Ifans, Peggy Lu, Alanna Ubach, and Stephen Graham, Venom 3 will be released on October 25, 2024. Kochi, June 3 - Actor Fahadh Faasil's action comedy Aavesham has completed its box office run with an excellent collection in India and worldwide despite missing a couple of milestones due to premature digital release.## Released on April 11, Aavesham scored the second-biggest opening week domestically for a Malayalam movie of 2024 with a collection of 35.45 crores gross, before showing an incredible hold in the second week for 29.10 crores, followed by another solid hold in the third with 21.70 crores gross. ## Aavesham was well on track to enter the 100 crores gross club in India but due to the early digital release after the 4th week, the collection dropped heavily in the following weeks which kept it under the 100 crores mark. Overall, the movie missed the 100 crore gross collection by just above 1 crore. ## Overseas, Jithu Madhavan's directorial has been one of the biggest hits with an estimated 56 crores gross collection, pushing the total worldwide to approximately 155 crores. Durai Senthilkumar. ## Released on May 31st, Garudan had a very good opening weekend at the domestic box office with a gross collection of approximately 17 crores in 3 days. It scored the third biggest opening weekend for a Tamil movie of 2023, behind Captain Miller and Aranmanai 4. ## Garudan opened to a good collection of approximately 4 crores gross, before showing a jump of around 38% on its second day for approx. 5.60 crores gross, followed by another jump of 29% on Sunday for approx. 7.25 crores. Mumbai, June 2 - American YouTuber James Stephen "Jimmy" Donaldson, famously known as MrBeast, has outnumbered India's music and production company T-Series to become the most subscribed YouTube channel in the world. ## MrBeast now has over 267 million subscribers on YouTube, against T-Series' 266+ million. The Bhushan Kumar-led company became the most subscribed channel after surpassing PewDiePie in 2019. MrBeast has made significant gains over the last year to dethrone the T-Series. ## At the start of 2023, MrBeast vowed to become the number 1 YouTube channel. It looked like a far cry at that moment as it had only 123 million subscribers, but 1 and a half years later, MrBeast is the new king of YouTube. PewDiePie is currently the 8th most subscribed channel with 111 million subscribers. ## MrBeast and T-Series are the only 2 accounts with over 200 million subscribers on the video-sharing platform. Mumbai, June 1 - The Japanese epic kaiju film written, directed, and with visual effects by Takashi Yamazaki, Godzilla Minus One has finally started streaming in India, after shockingly not getting a theatrical release. ## Hailed as the finest Godzilla movie, Godzilla Minus One was originally released in theatres last year, however, despite the huge demand, the makers couldn't find a way to release it in India despite attempting to release it via PVR Inox Pictures. ## While the big screen release of the film couldn't possible, Netflix has brought the movie to the Indian audience and it is now streaming in English, Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil language. The early response is already pouring in and as expected, is highly positive. ## Godzilla Minus One, made on a budget of around $15 million, has been a huge box-office blockbuster with a worldwide gross collection of over $115 million. Mumbai, May 31 - Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor-starrer sports romantic drama Mr and Mrs Mahi has taken a good start at the domestic box office, thanks to the Cinema Lovers Day which boosted the footfalls due to lower ticket prices. ## The movie witnessed excellent occupancy throughout the day and scored an estimated 6.75-7.25 crores net collection on its opening day. It has comfortably beaten the opening day collection of Yami Gautam-fronted Article 370, the last Bollywood film to get cinema day benefit to score approximately 6 crores net. ## Mr and Mrs Mahi mainly targeted multiplex audiences and thanks to the discounted ticket prices, the movie brought its target audience to the theatres on its opening day. Mumbai, May 30 - Rajkummar Rao's biographical drama Srikanth has emerged as a surprise winner of the year as the movie has topped 50 crores gross collection at the worldwide box office amid low expectations. ## Directed by Tushar Hiranandani, Srikanth grossed approximately 49.50 crores worldwide, including 47 crores domestically and an estimated 2.50 crores overseas in the first 20 days. It has topped the 50 crores gross mark on its third Thursday (21st day). ## Srikanth is only the second film of Rajkummar Rao to reach the mini milestone of 50 crores worldwide after Stree in a leading role. The actor played a supporting role in Bareilly Ki Barfi which grossed approximately 58.60 crores worldwide. ## Produced by T-Series and Chalk and Cheese Films, Srikanth has benefitted from the open run due to the lack of notable releases over the last few weeks.
