The R-rated flick is the fourth instalment of the Bad Boys series of buddy cop films. ## Directed by Adil & Bilall, Bad Boys 4 has had a strong 3-day opening weekend domestically (North America) with $56 million (470 crores). It is the second-biggest first weekend in the franchise, behind only Bad Boys For Life which opened at $62.5 million in 2020.## Overseas, the movie grossed a solid $48.6 million (405 crores) over 60 markets, pushing worldwide opening weekend to $104.6 million (875 crores). It is the biggest debut in the franchise, Bad Boys For Life ($97.8 million). The movie was projected to earn $70 million - $80 million before release. ## Made on a budget of $100 million, Bad Boys 4 received an A- CinemaScore. Mumbai, June 8 - Maddock Films' production, Munjya is proving all the projections wrong with excellent trends at the box office. The movie opened above expectations on the opening day with approximately 4 crores net and is showing over 60% jump on the second day. ## It was anticipated that the growth on the second would be there but it wouldn't be big due to the lower ticket prices. However, the movie proved all calculations wrong to score an estimated 6.50-7 crores net collection on the first Saturday. ## The total collection of the film is around 10.50+ crores net in two days as the opening weekend is looking to be around 18-20 crores net which is way above the pre-release projections. It will be interesting to see if the movie could touch 20 crores net this weekend as there is the cricket world Cup match of India against Pakistan which may impact the night shows. ## The hold on Monday will be crucial for the film though it is in a fantastic position to score well beyond the weekend as it has found acceptance among its target audiences. Mumbai, June 7 - The most-anticipated film in Maddock Films' horror-comedy universe is Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao-fronted Stree 2 which is the sequel to 2018's Stree. The movie is directed by Amar Kaushik and produced by Dinesh Vijan under the banner of Maddock Films in association with Jio Studios. ## The industry is waiting for the response to Stree 2 which will be released in August this year. Meanwhile, the makers are gearing up to launch the movie's teaser soon after completing the censorship formalities yesterday. ## It is learned that the teaser of Stree 2 was censored on June 7 and it received a U/A certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) with an approved runtime of 1 minute and 23 seconds. The release date of the teaser is yet to be announced. ## Stree was the first film in Maddock Supernatural Universe, followed by Roohi, Bhediya, and Munjya. Mumbai, June 8 - Director Aditya Sarpotdar's Munjya has taken the third-best opening in Maddock Films' horror-comedy universe after performing way above expectations. It is the 4th movie in the studio's successful Supernatural Universe after Stree (2018), Roohi (2021), and Bhediya (2022).## Starring Sharvari Wagh, Mona Singh, Abhay Verma, and Sathyaraj in the key roles, Munjya scored approximately 4 crores net on its opening day, including the previews. In the horror-comedy universe, it is the third-best start after Bhediya (7.50 crores net) and Stree (6.82 crores net). Mumbai, June 7 - The latest entry in Maddock Films' horror-comedy universe, Munjya surprises with a better-than-expected opening at the domestic box office, thanks to the lower-than-normal ticket prices which boosted its prospects. ## The movie has less face value but its connection with the horror-comedy universe, plus reasonable ticket prices seem to have worked wonders as it has taken the opening of 3.50-3.75 crores net, as per the early estimates, which wasn't looking a possibility before the release. ## Munjya scored a decent pre-sales which indicated the opening in the range of 2 crores net but credit should be given to the makers for opting for non-popular prices. The initial word of mouth also seems to be on the positive side which pushes the collection beyond 3 crores net. ## The opening weekend collection of Munjya could well be 13-15 crores net which is a good total. The movie is directed by Nag Ashwin and also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani. ## Kalki 2898 AD will be distributed by Prathyangira Cinemas in the USA and Canada. The studio confirmed that the movie will be released in IMAX format across the USA (Telugu version) and Canada (Hindi version) for premieres and one show on Day 1. ## The movie has also been confirmed to be released in India and worldwide on IMAX as the official confirmation regarding the same was made on June 11 by IMAX. Mumbai, June 6 - A sequel to Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani's family comedy-drama JugJugg Jeeyo is reportedly in the early development at Dharma Productions with Raj Mehta is expected to return as the director. ## According to a report by Peepingmoon.com, after teasing a sequel for a long time, Karan Johar and Raj Mehta are officially working on JugJugg Jeeyo, however, the report suggests the makers may change the title and it is more likely to be a spiritual sequel. ## It is said that Raj Mehta has begun writing the sequel with his team of writers and is looking to take it in on floors by the end of this year or early 2025. No cast has been attached to the sequel yet, but Varun is expected to return to headline it. ## Released in June 2022, Jug Jug Jeeyo starred Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor, and Neetu Kapoor as two couples of different generations on the verge of divorce. Mumbai, June 5 - Director Rajesh A Krishnan's heist comedy Crew starring Tabu, Kareena Kapoor, and Kriti Sanon is turning out to be a big success on Netflix after emerging as one of the biggest box office successes of the year. ## Crew premiered on Netflix on May 24 after completing 8 weeks of the theatrical run with over 150 crores in gross collection at the worldwide box office. On its Netflix premiere, the movie scored 5.4 million views in the opening weekend, taking one of the best starts of the year for an Indian title. ## The movie's viewership shot up in the second week (May 27 - June 2) as it scored 8.9 million views. In 10 days so far, Crew has generated 14.3 million views and become the third most-watched Indian movie of the year on Netflix. By next week, it is expected to become the most-watched title by topping Laapataa Ladies.## Crew was the second most-watched non-English film worldwide on Netflix during the week of May 27 - June 2.
