Los Angeles, September 7 - The maverick Indian filmmaker, SS Rajamouli is making his way to his first-ever US festival. The filmmaker will be hosted by Los Angeles' Beyond Festival, which has announced today the presence of RRR filmmaker as part of a special Tollywood programming, "From Tollywood to Hollywood". ## Built-in partnership with the American Cinematheque, the special programming will honor the revolutionary Indian director, featuring Rajamouli's multiple films presented in their native Telugu language with English subtitles, including Baahubali: The Beginning, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, Eega, Maryada Ramanna, and Magadheera. ## According to the Los Angeles Times, the first-ever official US festival visit of Rajamouli could also kick-start "RRR's" Oscars campaign, which has been hyped heavily by the Hollywood media. Hyderabad, September 7 - On the occasion of Power star Pawan Kalyan's birthday last year, director Surender Reddy announced his maiden film with the superstar. It was supposed to roll out in early 2022, however, due to unknown reasons, further development on the movie never took place. ## It has been more than a year since the movie, tentatively titled PSPK 29, was announced. Reports claimed that the movie has been shelved over creative differences but that is not true as the producer of the film has finally provided the next course of development for the movie. ## Ram Talluri, who will produce this action drama film, recently said in an interview that the movie will happen for sure and that it has not been called off. He stated that it was temporarily put on hold due to Pawan Kalyan's busy schedule with movies and his political ambitions. ## The producer also stated that Surender Reddy is currently busy with his next film titled "Agent" with Akhil Akkineni. That movie is scheduled to release later this year and after he is done with Agent, Surender Reddy will shift his attention to the film with Pawan Kalyan. Mumbai, September 7 - Award-winning Bollywood filmmaker Prakash Jha said that he doesn't want to work with Bollywood A-Listers neither they want to work with him. The Apaharan director is returning to the silver screen with his upcoming film "Matto Ki Saikil" and has been going places for the promotion of the film. ## During a recent interview with India Today, Prakash Jha said that Bollywood A-Listers are not easily available to him because he doesn't want to finish a film in 30 days hence, he doesn't make a proposal like that. ## "I don't work with A-list actors. I have stopped that. They don't want to work with me either. Actors like Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh, and Ranbir Kapoor are not easily available to me because I don't make a proposal like that. I don't want to finish a film in 30 days' time because the actor wants to move on to another project", he said. ## "I want to do my project the way I want. Many don't want to work on a difficult script. Mumbai, September 7 - The much-awaited Bollywood biggie, Vikram Vedha, is getting ready for release on September 30. Directed by Pushkar-Gayathri, the movie is the official remake of the director duo's Tamil blockbuster of the same name starring Vijay Sethupathi and R Madhavan. The Hindi remake stars Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan in the leading roles. ## Meanwhile, the trailer of "Vikram Vedha" will be out online on September 8 and a day before on September 7, the makers arranged special screenings of the trailer in multiple cities in India. Krrish 4 was announced a long time back but could never get finalized due to the covid-19 pandemic. ## During a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, Rakesh Roshan revealed that he has almost done the script and is waiting for the right time to take it on floors. "My scripting is almost done. It's a big-budget film. The challenge for me is that in today's day and age, people are aware of and watch superhero films from all over the world. These superhero films are made on very big budgets. And we don't have such big budgets". ## The filmmaker further said that to make a superhero film in India, it is very important for the content of the movie to be strong and with newer ideas to come at par with the big-budget superhero movies.## "Our films are released in India and certain overseas territories with a huge South Asian diaspora and hence our box office potential is limited as compared to Hollywood. So, I am just waiting for the right time when the audiences would start flocking to the cinemas once again in big numbers", he added. ## Meanwhile, Rakesh Roshan hinted that there may be multiple superheroes in "Krrish 4" just like the Marvel movie and upcoming Bollywood biggie, "Brahmastra Part One: Shiva", which intends to introduce several superheroes and films will be made about them. Dublin, September 6 - The social media platform, Instagram has been slapped with a whopping $402 million fine by Ireland's data privacy regulator, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The photo-sharing and content-creating site has been found violating laws regulating the handling of children's data online. ## Instagram has said it will appeal the fine.## According to THR, the Irish government's investigation, which began in 2020, found that Instagram allowed child users aged between 13 and 17 to operate business accounts on Instagram, which facilitated the publication of the users' phone numbers and/or email addresses. That, ruled Ireland's Data Protection Commissioner, was a violation of the country's laws protecting child data online.## A spokesperson for Meta said that Instagram updated its settings over a year ago to address the problem and has since released new features "to keep teens safe and their information private". It is believed that the movie will not meet its earlier announced release date deadline as some VFX work is still pending. ## Directed by Sarvesh Mewara and produced by Ronnie Screwvala under his banner RSVP Movies, "Tejas" will now reportedly be released in January 2023 in theaters. It was recently reported that the makers might take the direct-to-digital route for the movie, however, the latest reports suggest that it will release in theaters only. ## "Tejas was to release in October. However, since the film is very VFX there is still quite a bit of work pending. However, the work pending isnโ€™t much yet it will still take a while. So to avoid doing a rushed job on the film, it was decided to defer the release date. Right now the makers are looking at a release in either December 2022 or January 2023", reports Bollywood Hungama. ## The film showcases the story of a woman pilot in the Indian Air Force being played by Kangana Ranaut. The Indian Air Force was the first of the country's defense forces to induct women into combat roles in 2016. Mumbai, September 6 - Filmmaker Rakesh Roshan, who gave India its first big screen superhero "Krrish", opened up on the sluggish response to most of the Bollywood movies at the box office post-pandemic. Rakesh Roshan, whose next film will be "Krrish 4", revealed where Bollywood filmmakers are going wrong which is resulting in the failure of their films. ## During an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Rakesh Roshan said that the filmmakers of Hindi cinema are not making films to which a large audience can relate. He also slammed the filmmakers for not giving enough attention to the songs in the movies, which, many believe, used to be Bollywood's USP. ## "That is because people are making films that they and their friends like to watch. They are picking subjects that appeal to a very minuscule section of the audience. A big chunk of the audience cannot relate to it", he said when asked why Hindi films have not worked at the box office recently. ## "Another major problem is that the songs are going out of the film. Earlier, there used to be 6 songs. These songs would help the actors turn into superstars. Whenever you listen to old classics, you remember the heroes who were featured in those songs. Nowadays, since there are no songs, toh hero yaad nahi aate hai. As a result, becoming a superstar is very difficult at present", he added. ## Post-pandemic, South Indian films have worked really well at the box office and a few of them have also done very good business in the Hindi market. Rakesh Roshan said that the filmmaker in the South are "still sticking to rooted stories and they are presenting them in a very upgraded way, keeping in mind the commercial sensibilities". ## "Our Bollywood filmmakers have drifted away from the roots of Indianness. They try to make so-called 'modern cinema' but it works with only 1% of the population. It does not cater to B and C centers.
