Vijay Deverakonda, Samantha Ruth Prabhu's Film Ropes In Anirudh Ravichander To Score Music?

Hyderabad, March 23 - Telugu heartthrob Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha Ruth Prabhu are coming together to lead director Siva Nirvana's upcoming film, not titled yet. ## The movie, which is yet to be announced officially, is touted to be an intense love story set in Kashmir. The film will reportedly follow the same storyline as Mani Ratnam's 1992 romantic thriller, Roja. Mythri Movie Makers is producing the film, which will be adapted to attract the modern-day generation.## The latest development is that Anirudh Ravichander has been roped in to score the music of the film. The talented music director has previously composed the music of the films featuring the biggest stars of the country, including Rajinikanth, Jr. NTR, Ajith Kumar, Dhanush, Thalapathy Vijay, among others. He has also composed the music of Thalapathy's "Beast", and his music is being loved by the audiences. ## Meanwhile, Deverakonda and Samantha have previously shared screen space director Nag Ashwin's "Mahanati", led by Keerthy Suresh. Siva Nirvana's film will be the first time when the duo will be sharing screen space as a lead pair. Samantha, on the other hand, has already worked with the director in Majili. ## As for the upcoming films, Vijay Deverakonda will be seen in the Pan-India film, "Liger", directed by Puri Jagannadh. It is scheduled to release on August 25 this yet. Samantha too has multiple films in the pipeline. Box Office Prediction: 'RRR' To Challenge 'Baahuabli 2' Opening Day Record!

Hyderabad, March 23 - The box office in India has started picking the pace and is expected to on its peak with the release of "RRR" from this Friday. The SS Rajamouli-directed has always been seen as a potential box office monster and even though it has been delayed multiple times, the talks around it never stopped making noise. ## Director Rajamouli has proved his box office prowess when "Baahubali" films were released in 2015 and 2017. Both "Baahubali" movies had combined grossed Rs. 2,438 crores worldwide, and went on to become the highest-grossing Indian film series worldwide. Though "RRR" is a one-part release, the expectation will be the same from this film. ## As things stand at present, "RRR" is poised to take the biggest opening in the original Telugu version. The biz in Telugu has received a major boost thanks to the hikes in ticket prices by Telugu state governments. Despite the high ticket prices, which are up to Rs. 5K for some of the benefit shows, the Telugu audiences have reacted positively and almost all the shows are booked in the biggest Telugu city, Hyderabad. ## As per the local Telugu trade portals and experts, "RRR" is expected to take the opening of Rs. 100 crores or more gross in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states alone. While the opening day figure in the said states seems too high, it can not be ruled out considering the involvement of star power in the film that is being led by two of the biggest Telugu superstars Jr. NTR and Ram Charan, apart from director Rajamouli.## Unlike Telugu, the Hindi biz, which is the second biggest market for the film, will solely depend on WOM and spot booking. The advance booking for the same is still slow. However, the trade is banking big in Hindi and are expecting the film to open between Rs. 15-20 crores. The face value of Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt, who play extended cameos in the film, might help Hindi biz to get the momentum going in addition to the popularity of Rajamouli among the Hindi audiences. In Hindi, "RRR" is expected to release on 3400 screens which are enough for the film to take the big opening.## Apart from Telugu and Hindi, the Tamil version followed by Malayalam and Kannada may contribute 8-12 crores in the overall day 1 collection of the film. At the time of "Baahubali 2", Tamil was the 3rd biggest market for the film with an opening day collection of Rs. 17 crores net. ## Overall, "RRR" is anticipated to challenge the opening day figure of "Baahubali 2", which scored Rs. 121 crores net. The movie, however, has a tough task to perform as there is no guarantee of it to open as big as "Baahubali 2" in other languages apart from Telugu. Mumbai, March 23 - Yet another challenging role awaits for the talented actor, Randeep Hooda, who has been cast to play the title role in filmmaker Mahesh Manjrekar's "Swatantra Veer Savarkar". ## The 45-year old actor, who impressed one and all in the 2016's biographical drama film "Sarbjit", will now portray the freedom fighter V.D. Savarkar in the upcoming biopic, which was announced last year in May. The film will highlight India's freedom movement from a different spectrum and will be shot across various locations in London, Maharashtra, and Andaman & Nicobar Islands from June this year. ## "There are many heroes that have played their part in getting us our Independence. However, not everyone has got their due. Vinayak Damodar Savarkar is the most misunderstood, debated, and influential of these unsung heroes and his story must be told", Hooda said in a statement. ## The "Highway" actor will be reuniting with producer Sandip Ssingh for this film after their first collaboration on "Sarbjit". "I am delighted to collaborate with Sandeep after 'Sarabjit', for 'Swatantra Veer Savarkar'. The domestic and international gross share is almost 50:50 for "The Batman" as the film has grossed $300 million in North America and $300.4 million internationally. ## Domestically, "The Batman" has become the joint 3rd fastest movie ever to reach $300 million, released in the month of March. It took just 17 days to reach the milestone and is tied up with "The Hunger Games". Earlier, "Beauty And The Beast" reached the box office landmark in just 10 days, followed by "Captain Marvel" in 16 days. ## Meanwhile, at the global box office, "The Batman" is the 4th biggest Hollywood title since "Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker" (2019). Mumbai, March 21 - Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri's "The Kashmir Files" has hit the double century mark at the worldwide box office, becoming the first Indian film of 2022 to achieve the feet. ## Based on the exodus of the Kashmiri Pandits, TKF has achieved the box office milestone in just 10 days, which is an extraordinary feat for a low-budget film. The film had scored 97.30 crores net in the first week while the second-weekend collection lent on 70.15 crores (3rd biggest of all-time). ## The film was declared tax-free in some of the Indian states which helped the makers to earn more profit. Thanks to government support, the net collection of TKF reached 167.45 crores in just 10 days (194 cr. gross). Overseas, the film has so far grossed approx. 20 crores, pushing the global total to 214 crores. ## The Kashmir Files has become the highest-grossing film for Anupam Kher, and Mithun Chakraborty, who played prominent roles in the film, so is for the director Vivek Agnihotri. It also stars Pallavi Joshi, Puneet Issar, Chinmay Mandlekar, Mrinal Kulkarni, Darshan Kumar, and Prakash Belawadi in key roles. ## Produced by Abhishek Agarwal Arts, Zee Studio, and Vivek Agnihotri Creates, TKF will cross 200 crores net in the second week, mostly by the second Wednesday. Mumbai, March 21 - Legendary Entertainment's "Godzilla vs. Kong" is officially is in the development to begin the film in Australia later this year. The Queensland state government has confirmed the shooting development of the sequel. ## The yet-untitled sequel will be the third monster verse film to be filmed in Queensland state. According to Variety, the film is expected to film at Gold Coast and other locations in Southeast Queensland. Earlier, "Godzilla vs Kong" was filmed on the Gold Coast in 2019, and "Kong: Skull Island" was filmed in the state in 2016. ## "The Morrison Government continues to boost to the Queensland economy with another international blockbuster from the MonsterVerse franchise drawn to Australia, with $16 million in funding under the highly successful $540 million Location Incentive Program", according to a press release by a Queensland minster (via wegotthiscovered).## The Variety report said that the makers will receive A$16 million ($11.8 million), and an additional A$6.3 million ($4.66 million) of subsidy will come from the state screen agency Screen Queensland and its Production Attraction Strategy.## The production of the "Godzilla vs. Kong" sequel is expected to generate more than A$119 million ($88 million) into the Australian economy and will provide employment to over 500 local casts and crew and use more than 750 extras.## Meanwhile, "Godzilla vs. Kong", which was released in March 2021, was the first movie to reach $100 million domestically (North America) during the covid-19 pandemic and went on to score over $468 million globally.
