Hyderabad, August 18, 2021: Having already become a go-to man in the Malayalam film industry, Fahadh Faasil seems to have caught the attention of Telugu industry as well even before the release of his maiden Telugu film, Pushpa. The actor plays the baddie in this Pan-India flick starring Icon Star Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna as protagonists. ## If the latest reports are to be believed, Fahadh Faasil is all set to feature in his second Telugu movie in Ram Charan's RC15. It is said that the makers of RC15 have initiated talks with Fahadh already and his response is awaited. ## The actor has reportadly been approached to play the villain in this Shankar directorial. The movie also stars talk of the town, Kiara Advani as one of the female leads opposite Ram Charan, who reportadly playing a double role. Rashmika Mandanna, another busy bee, is said to be the second female lead. ## RC 15 will be produced by Dil Raju and Shirish under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations. Mumbai, August 18, 2021: Bollywood actor Sidharth Malhotra has become the talk of the town after delivering his career-best performance in the recently released, Shershaah. The film, which is a biopic of the Kargil War hero Vikram Batra, is getting rave reviews from all parts of the country. Those who have watched the movie hailed Sidharth for portraying Batra in the film. ## Directed by Vishnuvardhan in his Hindi debut, Shershaah premiered directly on Amazon Prime Video on August 12. However, soon after the movie was released on OTT, there has been chatter among critics and the audience about how it was meant to be consumed on the big screen. The trade predicted Shershaah to become Sid's biggest grosser to date had it released in the cinema halls. ## In an interview with Pinkvilla, Sidharth too himself admitted that after the kind of response the movie received, it would have been a successful outing in theaters. However, he is also aware that the movie was ready to release for a long time now, and keeping that in mind, the makers took a decision to release it on the digital platform. ## "After looking at the love and response from the audience, I know for sure that this would not have disappointed at the box office. That being said, we were ready last July and the film was shot keeping the big screen in mind. But this is the new norm. We may not have a full capacity of screens this year and that wouldn't do justice to a film of this scale. Hence, we decided to bring it to the small screen at everyone's home", Sidharth said to Pinkvilla. ## Shershaah also stars Kiara Advani as the female lead. 'Bell Bottom' Director Ranjit Tewari Revealed Casting Lara Dutta As Indira Gandhi Was Akshay Kumar's Idea

Mumbai, August 18, 2021: Ever since the trailer of Akshay Kumar starrer "Bell Bottom", has released, the transformation of Lara Dutta as Indira Gandhi has become a talking point among the fans on social media. ## In an interview with IANS, director Ranjit M. Tewari shared why Lara Dutta was selected for the role despite her facial features not being similar to those of the late former prime minister. The director revealed casting Lara as Indira Gandhi was Akshay's idea while her transformation could be possible because of the science of prosthetics. ## "This was one of the important casting decisions for my film. If we look at Lara in real life, she carries herself with a lot of dignity and has a very strong personality. Initially, the idea of casting Lara came from Akshay sir, so the credit goes to him. Then I was wondering how to make her look like Mrs. Gandhi. She does not look like her in any way", Tewari said. ## "I had two options: either we make Lara look exactly like Mrs. Gandhi, or create a similar look, keeping the essence of the 'Mrs. Gandhi look'. Then I sat with (the makeup artist) Vikram Gaikwad and after several discussions and photoshop sessions, finally, we went for prosthetics". ## "For the first time, when she had 70 percent of her prosthetics on, I saw Lara in her Mrs. Gandhi look. I was like, 'That's it! We found the look!' I am very happy that the effort that has gone into her look has been appreciated. The yet-to-be-titled film is the first directorial venture for Balki after Akshay Kumar starrer Padman. ## Meanwhile, ever since the movie was announced, there were rumors that legendary Amitabh Bachchan is also a part of the film considering that he shares a good rapport with the filmmaker and has done guest appearances in Balki's previous films too. Well, the filmmaker has now himself confirmed that Big B is indeed an important part of the film and that his role will be decisive. ## Speaking about Big B's role in the film, the director told Spotboye, "He has to be there. I've cast him in every single film of mine beginning with Cheeni Kum where he was the lead to Pad Man where he made a special appearance. In my thriller, Mr. Bachchan will come in at a crucial juncture in the plot. His presence would be decisive, as it always is in my cinema. I'd never cast him just for the sake of casting him". ## Balki is directing Sunny Deol for the first time. Speaking about his decision of casting Sunny in his film, the Paa director said, "I've never worked with him. I don't know why I thought of him. But this was a role that needed a man with an understated machismo. Strong yet vulnerable. A man of a few words whose presence alone makes people pay attention to him. Sunny can command respect without raising his voice or fists. I wanted that personality for this character". ## The film will also have his first collaboration with Malayalam superstar Dulquer Salmaan. "Dulquer is one of the most talented actors today. I wanted to work with him for the longest time. This thriller requires Dulquer presence. Mumbai, August 17, 2021: The International Cricket Council (ICC), on Tuesday (August 17), has announced the fixtures of the Men's T20 World Cup 2021. The marquee tournament, scheduled to be played in the UAE and Oman, will get underway from 17 October, with the Final to be played in Dubai on 14 November. ## The blockbuster face-off between India and Pakistan of the Super 12 stage, will take place on October 24 in Dubai at 6 pm local time. The tournament will begin with the Round 1 Group B encounter between hosts Oman and Papua New Guinea at 2 pm local time on 17 October, with Scotland and Bangladesh, the other teams in Group B, clashing in the evening match at 6 pm. ## Ireland, Netherlands, Sri Lanka, and Namibia - making up Group A - will be in action in Abu Dhabi the next day, with Round 1 matches running till 22 October. Los Angeles, August 17, 2021: Marvel Studios' next superhero gem, Shang Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings, is getting nearer to its much-awaited outright theatrical release, which is September 3. The Simu Liu fronted is touted to be a historical moment in MCU as it is the first Marvel film to feature an all Asian and Asian-American cast. ## Shang Chi, which is making its debut in MCU, was first announced by Marvel Studios at San Diego Comic-Con 2019, where Kevin Feige confirmed Simu Liu would play the Master of Kung Fu. The latest addition to the MCU's growing roster of heroes will rise in this origin story set after Avengers: Endgame when his father Wenwu (Tony Leung), who is the real Mandarin and leader of the Ten Rings, calls him back into action. ## It is also the first Marvel movie to get an exclusive theatrical release for 45-days in the pandemic era, unlike Scarlett Johansson-led Black Widow, which debuted on Disney+ premiere access and in theaters on the same day. Disney CEO Bob Chapek, however, has called Shang Chi's release an "experiment" amid the covid-19 pandemic, which got a response from the lead actor Simu Liu, who didn't seem too pleased with CEO's comment. ## Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, the movie stars Simu Liu as Shang-Chi alongside Awkwafina, Meng'er Zhang, Fala Chen, Florian Munteanu, Benedict Wong, Michelle Yeoh, and Tony Leung in prominant roles. Additionally, Tim Roth reprises his role as the Abomination from The Incredible Hulk (2008) and will be seen fighting with Shang Chi in the film. ## Marvel Studios held the world premiere of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings in Los Angeles on Monday, August 16. The cast, crew, and many other celebrities, as well as select entertainment journalists, attended the first showing of the highly anticipated MCU movie. The awards couldn't take place last year due to the covid-19 pandemic. SIIMA 2019 will be held in Hyderabad from September 11th and 12th to honor the best artists and movies of Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. ## Malayalam drama film "Kumbalangi Nights" has received the highest number of nominations with 13 nominations including Best Film of Malayalam. Directed by Madhu C. Narayanan, the film had received universal critical acclaim and has been listed by several publications as one of the best Malayalam films of the decade. ## Darshan and Rashmika Mandanna starrer Kannada's action drama film, Yajamana, received 12 nominations including Best Film, Best Actor, and Best Director awards. Riteish Deshmukh And Tamannaah Bhatia To Star In Netflix Quirky Rom-Com 'Plan A Plan B'

Mumbai, August 16, 2021: Earlier in May this year, it was reported that Riteish Deshmukh would be making his digital debut with Netflix. The details about the project were revealed much but it was reported that Veere Di Wedding director Shashanka Ghosh would be helming the film which was said to be a romantic-comedy. ## Well, it has been confirmed now, and the movie has been titled "Plan A Plan B". Tamannaah Bhatia will be starring as the female lead alongside Riteish Deshmukh. Riteish is playing a matchmaker while Tamannah essays the role of a divorce lawyer. The film also stars Poonam Dhillon and Kusha Kapila in key roles. Rajat Arora has written and produced the film. ## Riteish took to Twitter and shared his excitement about making a digital debut. She also has Telugu movie F3, which is currently under production. ## On the other hand, Riteish has reportadly started prepping for his period drama on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj that will be directed by Sairat fame Nagraj Manjule.
