Salman Khan Set To Return In Comedy Genre With Director Anees Bazmee's Next?

Mumbai, August 16, 2021: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has shown his versatility over the years with doing every type of film. However, in recent years, he has focused more on doing action films than any other genre. From the last couple of years, there are reports that the actor is looking to return to the comedy genre that seems the most natural to him, after his phenomenal work in films like Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya, Ready, Kick, and Partner. ## Well, it seems that his search for a comedy film is finally over as he is in talks with director Anees Bazmee for an outright comic caper. According to reports, Salman will reprise his iconic charactor Prem in Bazmee's film that will be produced by his home banner Salman Khan Films in association with Zee Studios and Murad Khetani. ## "After acting in comedies like Andaz Apna Apna, Biwi No. 1, Judwaa, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, No Entry, Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya, Partner and Ready, Salman has been keen to do another comedy for a while now. He was on the lookout for the right script and it seems to have finally come his way as he has been in advanced conversation with Anees Bazmee and other stakeholders over the last month for this comic entertainer", says to a source quoted in Pinkvilla. ## Earlier, there were reports that Salman will collaborate with Murad Khetani for the Hindi remake of Tamil blockbuster Master. However, the latest development suggests that has backed out from the project as he doesn't want to do direct remakes anymore. With this comedy, the two have finally arrived on the same page, though the paperwork is still underway. The movie is expected to go on floors towards the end of next year after Salman completes his pending projects. ## Meanwhile, Salman and Anees previously collaborated on the films like No Entry and Ready and both of the films were box office hits. Mumbai, August 15, 2021: One of the leading Bollywood film producers, Karan Johar's recently produced "Shershaah" is getting rave reviews. The movie, starring Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani, is based on the life of army captain Vikram Batra who sacrificed his life during the Kargil War. Before Shershaah, Karan had produced patriotic films like the Raazi, Kesari, and Gunjan Saxena, which became blockbusters. ## Now, according to reports, the renowned filmmaker is developing a script on the life of freedom fighter Usha Mehta, under his production banner Dharma Productions. Usha Mehta was a Gandhian and freedom fighter of India who ran an underground pirate radio called Congress Radio during the Quit India Movement and gave tough time to the British Government. ## Post-Independence, Usha Mehta was conferred with Padma Vibhushan, the second-highest civilian award of India. It is a heroic story of India's one of the unsung heroes and the creative team at Dharma has been working on this script for a while now. The script is said to be based on the play, Khar Khar, written by Amatya Goradia and Pritesh Sodha. The movie will be directed by Kannan Iyer, who is also writing the script with Darab Farooqui, as per pinkvilla. ## For Usha Mehta's biopic, Dharma Productions is currently in search of a top A-list actress who can do justice to the charactor. Apart from Mehta's biopic, Karan recently announced the untold story of C. Sankaran Nair, who fought legendary courtroom battle to uncover the truth about Jallianwala Bagh Massacre. ## Interestingly, it's not only Karan Johar who is bringing freedom fighters to life. Earlier in the day, producer Vishnu Vardhan Induri also announced a film franchise, Azad Hind, as a tribute to the unsung heroes of the Indian Independence fight. Mumbai, August 15, 2021: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is currently busy shooting for the Yash Raj Films' third installment of the Tiger franchise. The movie, which is yet to be announced officially, went on floors in March this year with Salman and Katrina, who reprise their roles as RAW and ISI agents respectively in the film. ## The film, being directed by Maneesh Sharma, has Emraan Hashmi on board to lock horns with Salman Khan as ISI agents. As expected, Pawan Kalyan's screen presence in the first glimpse is as powerful as his name. ## The first glimpse shows PSPK wearing a lungi and he is at his usual best in an action-packed role as Bheemla Nayak who takes on the goons and warns someone called Jani. We can also hear a dialogue exchange between Kalyan and Rana Daggubati in the last sequence, in which, Rana introduces himself as Daniel Shekar while Pawan Kalyan utters his name in style- Nayak… Bheemla Nayak, though their faces are not visible. ## At the end of the glimpse video, Pawan Kalyan while introducing himself as Bheemla Nayak, says that he doesn't need any caption, which also depicts his off-screen image. The glimpse is a treat for fans as Director Sagar K Chandra and Trivikram served complete mass meals, which perfectly suits Pawan Kalyan's mass image. ## Thaman S has again produced a thrilling experience with solid and rocking background music. Interestingly, all the working stills of the film saw Pawan Kalyan dressed in police khakis, unlike what we show in the glimpse video. The movie is the remake of Malayalam hit Ayyappanum Koshiyum, which saw Biju Menon and Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead roles. In addition, he said that Shang-Chi would be "an interesting experiment for us because it's got only a 45-day window for us". A lot of people want to see Shang-Chi succeed because of what it will mean for the larger cinematic landscape. Mumbai, August 14, 2021: Earlier in January this year, Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi announced that he be starring in a silent feature film, Gandhi Talks. He teamed up with Marathi filmmaker Kishor Pandurang Belekar, who's known for directing award-winning theatre plays and films like Sa Sasucha (2010) and Yeda (2013). ## Now, the latest development is that Padmavat actress Aditi Rao Hydari has reportadly been cast to play the leading lady in this ambitious venture. The film is said to be a dark comedy with elements from Mahatma Gandhi's principles as the backdrop. It depicts the harsh realities of today's times and how Gandhi has become a prime witness of everything that he stood against. ## Gandhi Talks will be produced by Zee Studios in association with Movie Mill Entertainment. The film marks Sethupathi and Hydari's second collaboration after Mani Ratnam's critically acclaimed 2018 gangster drama, Chekka Chivantha Vaanam, which also starred Silambarasan, Arvind Swami, Arun Vijay, Jyothika, Aditi Rao Hydari, and Aishwarya Rajesh, among others in prominant roles. ## The Oscar winner A.R. Rahman will be composing the background score for the film. It is a Pan-India film that will release in six languages including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Malayalam, and Kannada. Gandhi Talks is the first multi-lingual silent feature film in 34 years. Kamal Haasan's career-defining 1987 black comedy, Pushpak, was the last noteworthy dialogue-free film to be released in various languages across India. ## It is reported that director Kishor Belekar has spent 19 years on the script of the film, which is finally set to take off. Los Angeles, August 14, 2021: Amid the criticism of its theatrical - Disney+ Premier model, Disney has been able to crack a deal with Oscar winner, Emma Stone to return to star in the sequel to crime comedy film "Cruella", based on the character Cruella de Vil from Dodie Smith's 1956 novel The Hundred and One Dalmatians. ## Due to the covid-19 pandemic, Disney opted for a two-way release on theaters and on Disney+ PVOD tier for some of its releases including "Cruella", which debuted on May 26 this year. The movie earned more than $222 million in worldwide ticket sales, making it a fruitful outing for Disney. Stone joins returning director Craig Gillespie and returning writer Tony McNamara in the sequel ## Earlier, Black Widow star Scarlett Johansson filed a lawsuit against Disney over its hybrid release model, alleging that it has breached her contract which reportadly promised an exclusive theatrical release of her films. After Johansson's lawsuit, there were speculations that Emma Stone might also take the same route over Cruella's release, however, that hasn't happened yet. ## Dwayne Johnson, however, supported Disney for its release model during the pandemic for his action-adventure film, Jungle Cruise, which debuted on July 30. The film has so far grossed $73.1M domestic, $201M+ worldwide, and $50M in estimated Disney+ Premier global PVOD monies, good for a current estimated global haul of $251M+. ## Meanwhile, Cruella 2 is still in the pre-production stage, and it's not certain yet whether the movie will be an outright theatrical release or like its predecessor released simultaneously in homes. Suriya Reunites With Director Bala For The 4th Time

Chennai, August 13, 2021: Tamil star Suriya has exciting films in the pipeline. The actor was recently returned to the big screen with Edhurkkum Thunindhavan which became a box office success. He has already started preparation for Vaadi Vasal with director Vetrimaaran. ## Now, the "Soorarai Pottru" actor has announced that he would be reuniting with director Bala for the 4th time. Suriya and Bala are one of the most powerful actor-director duos in Kollywood. However, the details about the project are yet to be revealed, the movie will be produced by Suriya and Jyothika under the banner 2D Entertainment. ## "Been waiting for #DirBala na my mentor to say Action!!! …After 18 years, it’s happiness today…! Their first association was for an action drama film 'Nandha' in 2001, and that helped Suriya in stepping up his career ladder. Suriya appeared in the film as a gangster. The duo later collaborated for 'Pithamagan' and then he appeared for a cameo role in Bala's 'Avan Ivan' starring Vishal and Arya in lead roles. ## GV Prakash will be composing the music for the film, which has Krithi Shetty playing the female lead.
