Shershaah - The story of India's Kargil hero, Param Vir Chakra awardee, and army captain Vikram Batra, Shershaah promises to be a magical experience. Directed by Vishnuvardhan, Shershaah stars Sidharth Malhotra in a double role, as Batra and his identical twin brother Vishal while Kiara Advani plays the role of Dimple Cheema. The movie is produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions in association with Kaash Entertainment. It is scheduled to release on August 12 on Amazon Prime Video. ##
Thalaivi - 'Thalaivi' is an upcoming biopic on the life of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and late actress J. Jayalalithaa. Kangana Ranaut, who plays the lead role, has impressed everyone with her convincing look as Thalaivi. It'll be interesting to see how the actress, a firebrand in her own right, essays the role of one of India's most powerful women politicians who was a lioness in her prime. Directed by A. L. Vijay, Thalaivi will release in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. ##
Gangubai Kathiawadi - Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Gangubai Kathiawadi stars Alia Bhatt in the title role. The movie narrates the true story of young Ganga who in no time marks her own territory and becomes Gangubai โ a madame in the red light area of Kamathipura. The biographical crime drama is based on the book 'Mafia Queens of Mumbai' written by S. Hussain Zaidi. The movie boost with a solid cast led by supremely talented Alia and fans' can't wait to watch the movie on the big screens. ##
83 - A much-awaited biographical sports film directed by Kabir Khan, '83' stars Ranveer Singh as Indian cricket legend Kapil Dev. The film chronicles the glorious moments of the 1983 cricket World Cup, which India had won for the first time under the captaincy of Kapil Dev. '83' features an ensemble cast that includes Deepika Padukone, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Jiiva, Saqib Saleem, Harrdy Sandhu, Ammy Virk, Pankaj Tripathi, Boman Irani, Nishant Dahiya, Sahil Khattar, and Amrita Puri. ##
Maidaan - Ajay Devgn is all set to bring back the golden era of Indian football (1952-1962) with the upcoming biopic 'Maidaan'. The film is based on legendary football coach Syed Abdul Rahim, played by Ajay Devgn, who coached the Indian football team from 1950 to 1963. It is directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma and produced by Zee Studios and Bayview Projects LLP. As of now, the movie is slated for release on October 15, 2021. ##
Dhyan Chand's biopic - Producer Ronnie Screwvala and director Abhishek Chaubey, who previously came together for the late Sushant Singh Rajpur starrer Sonchiriya, are collaborating again, this time with Premnath Rajagopalan as co-producer to bring the story of hockey legend, Major Dhyan Chand, to the big screen. The biopic is yet to hit the floors but it is definitely one of the most-awaited biopics. Recently, the government of India also renamed India's highest sporting honor, Khel Ratna after Dhyan Chand. ##
