Hyderabad, August 5, 2021: Varun Tej's much-awaited boxing drama film, Ghani, is all set to release worldwide on Diwali this year in theaters. The Telugu movie, written and directed by Kiran Korrapati, was supposed to release on July 30 in theaters, but due to the covid-19 pandemic, the makers postponed the release. ## Ghani is produced by Sidhu Mudda, and Allu Bobby under the banners of Renaissance Pictures, and Allu Bobby Company. The movie also stars Saiee Manjrekar in the female lead role alongside a supporting cast including Upendra, Suniel Shetty, Jagapathi Babu, and Naveen Chandra. A Thaman has composed the music. ## Varun Tej took to Twitter and announced the new release date of the film with a new poster. Chennai, August 5, 2021: Tamil actor Suriya's home production 2D Entertainment and Amazon Prime Video have inked an exclusive deal. As part of this collaboration, the next four Tamil movies from 2D Entertainment will premiere directly on Prime Video worldwide, over the next four months, starting from September. ## Interestingly, Suriya's last film as an actor, Soorarai Pottru, was also directly premiered on Amazon Prime Video and got a thundering response from viewers all around the world. The new deal includes films across genres produced by Jyotika and Suriya. In the four films that will premiere on Prime Video, Suriya starrer Jai Bhim, a legal drama, is also included. ## Suriya said, "The past year has been transformative. D44: Sun Pictures Announces The Stellar Star Cast For Mithran Jawahar Directorial

Chennai, August 5, 2021: Dhanush is gearing up to start shooting for his next film, referred as #D44, with director Mithran Jawahar. The movie will be produced by Kalanithi Maran of Sun Pictures. The film, expected to be a family drama with its share of romance, will mark the fourth collaboration between the director and the actor, after Yaaradi Mohini, Kutty, and Uthamaputhiran. ## The story is set in two time periods — the protagonist's college days and his adulthood. Dhanush has two love interests, one during the college portions and another for the latter part of the hero's life. #D44 will have music by Anirudh, who will be joining hands with Dhanush after five years.## The title of D44 will be announced on August 5 at 6 PM. Meanwhile, a day before the title announcement, Sun Pictures introduced the stellar star cast of D44. The Mission Mangal actress, Nithya Menon has been roped in to play one of the female leads. She will be sharing screen space with Dhanush for the first time, and she is likely to be paired opposite his character in the post-college portions. ## Raashii Khanna has also been roped in to play an important role. There were rumors that Hansika might be pairing up with Dhanush after 2011's Maappillai, however, the makers have finally roped in Raashi for this multi-starrer. The National Award-winning actor, Prakash Raj, has also been confirmed to be acting alongside Dhanush for the third time, after Thiruvilayadal Aarambam (2006), and Asuran (2019).## Priya Bhavani Shankar, who will be starring in Kamal Haasan's much-awaited, Indian 2, is confirmed in D44, and likely to be seen in the college portions in the film. The veteran actor, Bharathirajaa, is another actor who comes on board for D44. He will be acting alongside Dhanush for the first in this film. ## Meanwhile, Dhanush is currently shooting for director Karthick Naren's "Maaran". However, it is now revealed that the actor was never approached to star in the film. In fact, the only time Ranbir turned down a role in a Bhansali film was when he was offered Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai starrer Guzaarish. Bhansali offered him the role that was eventually played by Aditya Roy Kapur. ## About the casting of Baiju Bawra, the source close to the development told a leading entertainment portal, "It is Ranveer Singh who was being seriously considered for the part. Bhansali's focus was on the casting of Heera Mandi. Mumbai, August 4, 2021: Filmmakers Ronnie Screwvala in association with Harman Baweja, recently announced their new film with actor Kartik Aaryan, titled "Captain India". Directed by Hansal Mehta, Kartik will play an Air Force pilot in the film, which is inspired by true events. ## "Captain India" is based on true events and inspired by one of India's successful rescue missions from a war-torn country, with Kartik as the pilot who leads the operation and displays exemplary bravery and courage. Writer and producer Harman Baweja called Captain India 'will resonate with every Indian'. ## It has now been revealed that the movie is based on one of the biggest rescue operations, "Operation Raahat", that took place in 2015. Kartik will play a pilot who led "Operation Raahat". Harman Baweja, Sanchit Gupta, Priyadarshee Srivastava, and Karan Vyas have written the script of the film, produced by RSVP Movies and Baweja Studios. ## Talking about "Operation Raahat", it was done by the Indian Armed Forces to evacuate Indian citizens and foreign nationals from Yemen during the 2015 military intervention by Saudi Arabia and its allies in that country during the Yemeni Crisis. It was a joint operation led by the Indian Navy and Air Force. ## During "Operation Raahat", more than 4,640 Indian citizens in Yemen were evacuated along with 960 foreign nationals from 41 countries. "Operation Raahat" lasted for 11 days from April 1 to April 11. Indian Air Force began evacuation on 3 April 2015 from Sana and it ended on April 9, 2015. ## "Captain India is inspiring and thrilling in equal measure and it gives me great pride and honor to be a part of such a historic chapter of our country. I have immense respect for Hansal Sir's body of work and this was the perfect opportunity to collaborate with him", Kartik had said in a statement.## The shooting of "Captain India" is expected to commence in the first quarter of 2022. Even though the theaters in Maharashtra are yet to reopen, the Bell Bottom team went ahead to release the trailer on August 3 and are all set to release their films on the big screen worldwide on August 19 in 3D. ## The release date of Bell Bottom was announced after the Maharashtra government assured of reopening of cinemas from August 2. However, the entire film fraternity was taken aback by surprise when the state government didn't permit the cinema halls to reopen in the unlock order. The decision might have come as a big shock to the Bell Bottom makers as Maharashtra is the major market for Hindi films. ## However, according to reports, the good news for the reopening of cinema halls in Maharashtra is around the corner. The reports are claiming that the multiplex and single screen associations are in constant conversations with the Government of Maharashtra to pass an order for the reopening of cinema halls.
