Abhishek Bachchan To Reunite With John Abraham In The Hindi Remake Of The Malayalam Film Ayyappanum Koshiyum?

Mumbai, June 29, 2021: Last year on May 26, John Abraham had announced that he had bought the Hindi remake rights of the 2020 Malayalam film "Ayyappanum Koshiyum". He had said that he will be producing this action thriller film under his banner JA Entertainment. ## While the casting of the film was not announced then, it has now been said that John Abraham will play one of the lead roles in the film. And to make things even more interesting, Abhishek Bachchan, who has starred with John in Dostana and Dhoom earlier, will reportadly reunite with him in the Ayyappanum Koshiyum Hindi remake. ## The official announcement on the casting is yet to be made, but according to reports, John and Abhishek will step into the shoes of Biju Menon and Prithviraj Sukumaran respectively. Mission Mangal fame Jagan Shakti will be directing the film and the shooting will reportadly commence in September this year. ## Ayyappanum Koshiyum revolves around the conflict between Koshy Kurien, an influential and wealthy ex-Havildar, and Ayyappan Nair, a Sub-inspector in Attappadi. ICC T20 World Cup 2021 To Be Played In UAE And Oman In October-November

Mumbai, June 29, 2021: The International Cricket Council (ICC) confirmed on Tuesday (June 29) that ICC T20 World Cup 2021 will be played in the United Arab Emirates and Oman from October 17 to November 14. It was earlier scheduled to be held in India but due to the covid-19 pandemic, it has been moved out of the country. The BCCI, however, will still be remained the host of the tournament. ## "Our priority is to deliver the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2021 safely, in full, and in its current window. Whilst we are incredibly disappointed not to be hosting the event in India, the decision gives us the certainty we need to stage the event in a country that is a proven international host of multi-team events in a bio-secure environment", said acting ICC CEO Geoff Allardice. ## "The BCCI is looking forward to hosting the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2021 tournament in UAE and Oman. We would have been happier hosting it in India but considering the uncertainty due to the COVID-19 situation and the importance of a world championship, the BCCI will now continue to host this tournament in UAE and Oman", said BCCI president Sourav Ganguly.## For matches to be played, four venues, which have been shortlisted are - Dubai International Stadium, the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi, the Sharjah Stadium, and the Oman Cricket Academy Ground. ## The first round of the tournament, comprising the eight qualifying teams, will be split between Oman and UAE. The four teams progressing to the Super 12s round will be joined by the eight automatic qualifiers. Where And When Will Sivakarthikeyan's Much-Awaited 'Doctor' Release - Theaters Or OTT?

Chennai, June 29, 2021: Actor Sivakarthikeyan's medical action film, Doctor, has been a talk of the town for a long time now. The Nelson Dilipkumar directorial is ready for release since the last year, however, due to the covid-19 pandemic, it kept getting postponed. The movie was all set to hit theaters on March 26, 2021, however, due to the elections in Tamil Nadu, makers again postponed the release indefinitely. ## While the makers had a chance to release the "Doctor" in March this year before they announced the postponement, the second covid-19 wave made sure their wait gets longer if they still want theatrical release. As of June 2021, there are still no signs of releasing the movie anytime soon. However, there are a lot of rumors that have started making noise regarding the medium "Doctor" will release on. ## Recently, the producer of the film, KJR Studios had announced that the film will get the right release when things become normal. Ever since it has been speculated that Doctor has been sold to Disney+Hostar for direct-to-digital release in 4 South Indian languages. However, there is no official confirmation yet from the makers of the film. ## On the other hand, as per the latest buzz in Kollywood, the movie is still very much in line to get a theatrical release. While Disney Plus indeed approached the "Doctor" team to grab the streaming rights, it has also been said that the streaming giant also wanted the satellite rights to be given to Vijay TV. But KJR Studios had already inked a deal with Sun TV for the TV premiere, so things didn't go as per plan. ## And now, if there is anything to go by the buzz, Doctor will be hitting theaters on August 14 or 15 this year. However, the OTT release of the film can not be ruled out as theaters in Tamil Nadu are yet to reopen, which may (or already) force the makers to take the OTT route. It will be interesting to see what medium makers choose to release the film.## Priyanka Arul Mohan plays Sivakarthikeyan's pair in the film while Vinay Rai plays the antagonist. Akshay Kumar's Next With Bell Bottom Makers Is The Remake Of Tamil Psychological Crime Thriller, Ratsasan?

Mumbai, June 29, 2021: Recently, it was reported that Akshay Kumar will be doing one more film with the makers of his upcoming spy thriller film, Bell Bottom (scheduled to release on July 27). It was said that producer Vashu Bhagnani narrated the script to Akshay during the shoot of Bell Bottom and was agreed to star in it. ## Now, according to Peepingmoon, the reports were indeed true and the movie is the official remake of the 2018 Tamil psychological crime thriller film, Ratsasan. The report said that Akshay will be stepping into the shoes of Vishnu Vishal in the critically-acclaimed film. Rakul Preet Singh has reportadly been cast opposite Akshay to play the female lead. ## It will be directed by Ranjit M Tewari, who also helmed Bell Bottom while Vashu Bhagnani of Pooja Entertainment will be producing it. The film is currently in the pre-production stage and will go on the floors in August in London following the bio-bubble protocols. The film will be finished in quick succession as the cast and crew will fly to London on August 5, for a start-to-finish schedule. ## Ratsasan is about an aspiring filmmaker who becomes a police officer after his father's death and investigates the murder of school girls. It will be directed by Karan Singh Tyagi. ## The film, titled "The Untold Story of C Sankaran Nair", will be directed by Karan Singh Tyagi in his directorial debut. The film unravels the legendary courtroom battle that Sankaran Nair fought against the British Raj to uncover the truth about the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre. Sankaran Nair's bravery ignited the freedom struggle across the country and is a testament to the power of fighting for the truth.## The film is inspired by real-life events and adapted from the book "The Case That Shook The Empire" written by Sankaran Nair's great-grandson, Raghu Palat, and his wife, Pushpa Palat. Hyderabad, June 28, 2021: Megastar Chiranjeevi is all set to be directed by Mohan Raja for the first time in the Telugu remake of the 2019 Malayalam film, Lucifer, starring superstar Mohanlal. While the original Lucifer was a political drama film, the Telugu remake is said to be gone through a lot of changes to appeal to the mass audience. ## Mohan Raja has said to be re-worked on the script and now the Telugu version will have new flashback episodes where Chiranjeevi will have a romantic story. The Telugu remake will reportadly have Nayanthara romancing the superstar in the film, for which, Nayan's role has been given a significant space unlike Manju Warrior;s in original film. ## It will be Chiranjeevi's 153th film of his career which will be jointly produced by Konidela Production Company and Super Good Films. Thaman S will be scoring music of the film, and he has already started working on it. Chennai, June 28, 2021: The dynamic trio of Vijay Sethupathi, Samantha Akkineni, and Nayanthara have teamed up together for the first time in Vignesh Shivan's Tamil romantic comedy "Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal". ## While Samantha and Nayanthara have already worked with Vijay Sethupathi in Super Deluxe and Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, respectively, it is also the first time when two leading ladies of South India working together in a film. ## The shooting of the film was supposed to take place in April 2020 but was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown. In May 2020, the production house announced that the film will go on floors from August 2020. On 10 December 2020, the team officially kickstarted the film on floors in Chennai. ## And now, according to reports, only 15 days of shoot left for Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal, and the team is gearing up for the release in October this year in theaters. Apart from direction, Vignesh Shivan has also written and jointly produced the film with Nayanthara and Lalit Kumar under the banners of Rowdy Pictures and Seven Screen Studio. ## Earlier in February on Valentine’s Day, director Vignesh Shivan unveiled the title logo and revealed that his fourth feature film is titled 'Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal'. The national award-winning actor has reportadly signed his second Telugu movie with Tholi Prema director Venky Atluri. ## According to Deccan Chronicle, producer Suryadevara Nagavamsi has been planning to make a trilingual film for a long time and he has found this potential in Dhanush. Nagavamsi feels a trilingual film would do justice to the script, given Dhanush's popularity in the South and in Bollywood. ## It is said that Dhanush has agreed to work on the Atluri film. Mumbai, June 27, 2021: The Hindi remake of the 2017 Tamil blockbuster, Vikram Vedha, has been a talk of the town for a long time now. While the original film starred Vijay Sethupathi and R Madhavan in the lead role, the Hindi remake will be headlined by Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan, stepping into the shoes of Sethupathi and Madhavan respectively. ## While the movie is yet to be officially announced, it was reportadly set to go on floors in July 2021. However, according to the latest development, the movie is set to be delayed once again. Due to the covid-19 situation in Mumbai, Maharashtra, the makers have said to be canceled the plan to roll out the film in July in Mumbai. ## According to the reports, the makers are now planning to roll out the film in August this year with the first scheduled to be shot abroad. Pushkar – Gayatri (a husband-wife duo), who helmed the original Vikram Vedha, will also be directing the Hindi remake. It will be produced by the original producer, Y NOT Studios, and co-produced by Plan C Studios. ## The original movie starred R. Madhavan as righteous police officer Vikram while Vijay Sethupathi played the gangster Vedha. The film draws from the ancient lore of Vikram-Betaal, where a wily gangster manages to escape every time a determined cop nabs him, by narrating a new story drawn from his own life. ## Apart from Vikram Vedha, Hrithik will also be doing his digital debut series, The Night Manager for Disney+Hotstar. He also has Sidharth Anand's Fighters which will roll out early next year. After that, he will be doing his ambitious project, Krrish 4, and then, War 2.
