International Boxer Mike Tyson To Play An Important Role In Vijay Devarakonda's Liger?

The actor joined hands with director Puri Jagannath for this prestigious pan India project. The movie is currently under production and will soon resume shooting once the covid-19 lockdown is lifted. ## Now, the latest buzz around this movie is that it is going to have an international cast. According to reports, the Liger team has approached former American professional boxer, Mike Tyson to play a key role in the movie. It is said that he will be seen in the climax of the film. ## While the inclusion of Tyson is yet to be confirmed by the makers, the veteran boxer can potentially play the mentor to Deverakonda's character. Simultaneously, Indian fans are also excited to catch a glimpse of the KO-artist alongside one of their favorite actors. ## Vijay Devarakonda is playing a boxer in the film and he also underwent a training in mixed martial arts. Jointly produced by Dharma Productions, and Puri Connects, the film is being shot simultaneously in Telugu as well as Hindi. The climax shoot is scheduled to take place in the USA and hence the film unit wants to rope in Tyson for the film.## The movie will also star Ramya Krishna, Ronit Roy, Ali, among others in key roles. Apart from its success in the Telugu language, the Hindi dubbed version of the film also received a positive outcome as the movie has crossed a massive 250 million views on Youtube. ## Now, as the Hindi dubbed version crossed 250 million views, Rashmika has expressed his delight on the milestone. She said that the movie is close to her heart and the milestone comes as no surprise as she feels it deserves it. ## "The fact that the Hindi dubbed version of the film has crossed 250 million views on YouTube is no surprise because I think it deserves it. The four-time Asian Games gold medallist had tested positive for the covid-19 earlier, was shifted out of the Covid-ICU after being tested negative a couple of days ago. ## While the family is yet to come to terms with the passing away of Milkha Singh's wife, 85-year-old Nirmal Kaur, who succumbed to Covid-related complications at a private hospital in Mohali on Sunday, the legendary athlete lost a valiant battle after developing fever and a dip in oxygen saturation level from Thursday night in the medical ICU of the PGI hospital. ## On the demise of Milkha Singh, the sports fraternity led by Sachin Tendulkar, Virendra Sehwag, P.T. The Karnan actor has collaborated with another National Award-Winner filmmaker Sekhar Kammula for the yet-untitled breezy entertainer. ## Sekhar Kammula won the National Award for his debut directorial film, Dollar Dreams (2020), which is a Telugu-English bilingual movie. Kochi, June 18, 2021: The covid-19 pandemic has taken a heavy toll on the Indian film industries, especially, Malayalam. Due to the months of closure and lack of fresh content in cinemas, the Mollywood industry got hit hard, which is turning into money and job losses. The state government was also too late to allow theaters to reopen after the first wave, which kept audiences in check before they got some confidence to visit cinemas. ## When theaters in Kerala were allowed to reopen in January this year, they needed big stars to step up to revive the ailing Malayalam film industry. Their chances of some sort of relief were dented when superstar Mohanlal decided to release his long-awaited thriller film, Drishyam 2 directly on Amazon Prime Video, skipping its much-needed theatrical release. This move from Mohanlal, however, invited criticism from The Kerala Film Association, who called this move a selfish act by the superstar. ## Despite Drishyam 2's OTT release, theater owners were still hopeful for a quick recovery with an exciting upcoming slate of films. However, when good days were all set to shine all over again, the devastating second wave of the covid-19 made things further worse. The films which were slated for release in April and May, stand postponed as cinemas halls were shut again. ## It really became a game of patience and was always up to the filmmakers to blink first. And they did, Fahadh Faasil and Prithviraj Sukumaran - two of the biggest stars of Malayalam cinema, decided to release their most waited film, Maalik and Cold Case directly on OTTs, ditching theatrical release. Both the movies were held for theatrical releases for a long time but the prevailing situation of covid-19 in the state forced the makers to make the tough call. ## However, for theaters and exhibitors in Kerala, the OTT releases of Maalik and Cold Case are a massive jolt to their chances of quick recovery post the second wave. They were hopeful that Maalik and Cold Case will bring the audiences back to theaters, which are expected to reopen in mid-July as corona cases are going down regularly. However, there is Mohanlal's big budget, Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham, and Aaraattu, scheduled for release in theaters, but theaters need other big stars to step to help them out. ## Fahadh Faasil particularly could face the consequence for his continued interest in OTT platforms. Maalik is his fourth consecutive direct-to-digital release in 9 months, despite the stern warning from The Kerala Film Body, who had warned FaFa to refrain from releasing his movies directly on OTTs by overlooking theaters. It will be interesting to see if the Film Body takes action on him or he will be giving the benefit of doubt. Meanwhile, Faasil is playing the antagonist in Allu Arjun fronted Telugu movie, Pushpa, which will release in multiple languages including Malayalam. ## For the record, the Malayalam industry is the lowest-grossing industry as the total net collection Malayalam movies have generated so far in 2021, is approx Rs. 35 crores, which is far less as compared to Telugu and Tamil industries. While the plot details are still being kept under wraps, Black Widow has been confirmed to be set in between the events of Captain America: Civil War (2016) and Avengers: Infinity War (2018). ## Scarlett Johansson will be joined by Florence Pugh, Rachel Weisz, and David Harbour in prominant roles along with O-T Fagbenle, William Hurt, and Ray Winstone. Mumbai, June 17, 2021: Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar will soon be making his digital debut with Amazon Prime Video's thriller series, titled "The End". The show was announced many moons back but due to the covid-19 pandemic, the production was delayed. But now, things are finally falling in place as makers are set to roll out the series soon. ## Producer Vikram Malhotra said on Wednesday (June 16) that the production of the Akshay Kumar starrer show will start either towards the end of the year or early 2022. The producer was speaking during a special event of Vidya Balan starrer "Sherni", backed by Malhotra's Abundantia Entertainment, that his team is currently working on several series with Prime Video, including "The End". ## Malhotra's banner had previously produced the thriller series "Breathe" and its second season. ## "Apart from Breathe, there are other series in development like 'Hush Hush', which is in the middle of the production. We had to pause it because of the pandemic. There's a show called 'The End', featuring Akshay Kumar. It is set to start later this year or early next year, depending on how the situation is", Malhotra told reporters.## "The End" is said to be a survival thriller set in the future. Whereas "Hush Hush" is a thriller drama, led by an all-female cast, including actors Juhi Chawla, Soha Ali Khan, Shahana Goswami, Kritika Kamra, Karishma Tanna, and Ayesha Jhulka.## Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar has several projects in the pipeline. He is the busiest actor in the industry at the moment. His Sooryavanshi and Bell Bottom are ready to release while Atrangi Re and Prithviraj are also completed the production. Akshay also has Bachchan Pandey, Ram Setu, and Raksha Bandhan currently under production. Mumbai, June 17, 2021: Recently, Akshay Kumar announced the theatrical release of his much-awaited, spy thriller, Bell Bottom. The movie, amid the speculations of direct OTT release, has been slated for July 27 release. The announcement is welcomed by theaters and exhibitors, who believe that Bell Bottom will pave the way for others to bring the audiences to theaters. ## Now, Jayantilal Gada of PEN Studios, who recently acquired the theatrical rights of SS Rajamouli's magnum opus, RRR, has also decided to bring Bell Bottom along with Gangubai Kathiawadi, Attack, and director Shankar's Anniyan Hindi remake, in theaters. This announcement has also put a full stop to speculations of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Gangubai Kathiawadi's direct OTT release. ## Gangubai Kathiawadi is a biographical crime drama film, loosely based on a true story, on the book Mafia Queens of Mumbai written by S. Hussain Zaidi. The film depicts the rise of a simple girl from Kathiawad who had no choice but to embrace the ways of destiny and swing it in her favour. It stars Alia Bhatt in the lead role, along with Vijay Raaz, Indira Tiwari, and Seema Pahwa playing Pivotal roles, Ajay Devgn and Emraan Hashmi featured in an extended cameo appearance. As of now, the movie is slated for July 30, 2021, release. ## Attack is an action thriller film directed and co-written by Lakshya Raj Anand. It stars John Abraham, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Rakul Preet Singh in the lead roles. Produced by Jayantilal Gada, John Abraham, and Ajay Kapoor, the story of Attack is inspired by true events, based on the hostage crisis. It is scheduled for release on 13 August 2021. ## The period action drama film, RRR, is an ambitious project of director SS Rajamouli, after his historical blockbuster Baahubali films starring Prabhas. RRR is a fictional story about India's freedom fighters, Alluri Sitarama Raju, and Komaram Bheem who fought against the British Raj and Nizam of Hyderabad respectively. Ram Charan and Jr. NTR essay the roles of Sitarama Raju, and Komaram Bheem respectively while Alia Bhatt Ajay Devgn, and British actress Olivia Morris play pivotal roles. Produced by D. V. V. Danayya, RRR will be distributed by Lyca Productions in Tamil Nadu, and Pen Studios in North India. It is slated to release on October 13 in multiple languages. ## Dr. Jayantilal Gada will also be producing the Hindi remake of Shankar's own directorial 2005 Tamil psychological action thriller, "Anniyan" starring Chiyaan Vikram. Co-produced by God Bless Entertainment, the remake will star Ranveer Singh in the lead role. The movie will go on floors in mid-2022. Los Angeles, June 17, 2021: WWE champion-turned one of the highest-paid Hollywood actors, Dwayne Johnson says it is time for him to "humbly and respectfully stand up, listen and learn" when 46% of Americans favour the idea of having him as President of the United States.## According to a recent poll, 46 percent of the Americans, who were asked the question, said that they would support the 49-year-old action star's bid for the US presidency. ## "I love our country to my core and I'm endlessly grateful for the opportunities I've had here, as a half-Black, half-Samoan kid being able to work my a** off knowing tenacity opens doors", Johnson tells People magazine in an exclusive interview.## Noting that he is "not a politician nor did I ever have political passions", Johnson, however, told People, "But when 46 percent of Americans say they're in favour of me becoming president, that forces me to humbly and respectfully stand up, listen and learn". ## Meanwhile, on the work front, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, will be starring next in Disney's fantasy adventure film, Jungle Cruise, set to be released on July 30, 2021, simultaneously in theaters and through Disney+ with Premier Access.
