Mumbai, June 27, 2021: Alia Bhatt has finally wrapped up the filming of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's directorial, Gangubai Kathiawadi. It took nearly two years for her and the rest of the cast and crew of this biographical crime drama film to complete the filming which had begun on 8th December 2019. The shooting of the film was largely halted by the covid-19 pandemic. ## On Sunday (June 27), Alia Bhatt took to social media and shared the BTS pic, and talked about the heart-wrenching life-changing experience of working on Gangubai Kathiawadi. She also talked about the troubles they faced on the sets of the film. ## "We started shooting Gangubai on the 8th of December 2019 .. and we wrapped the film now 2 years later! This film and set has been through two lock downs.. two cyclones.. director and actor getting covid during the making!!! the troubles the set has faced is another film all together!", Alia wrote on Twitter. ## "But through all that and more.. what I take away is the gigantic, mind blowing, heart wrenching life changing experience! The film depicts the rise of a simple girl from Kathiawad who had no choice but to embrace the ways of destiny and swing it in her favour. The narrative walks through the life of young Ganga who in no time marks her own territory and becomes Gangubai – a madame in the red light area of Kamathipura. ## Apart from Alia Bhatt, the movie also stars Vijay Raaz, Indira Tiwari, and Seema Pahwa playing pivotal roles, while Ajay Devgn and Emraan Hashmi featured in an extended cameo appearance. According to reports, Samantha Akkineni, who was last seen in the recently released Amazon Prime Video series, The Family Man 2, is likly to be paired with PSPK in the film. It is said that director Harish recently met the Sam to narrate the script and she is said to be interested in it. ## If things go as per reports, Samantha and Pawan Kalyan will be sharing screen space for the second time after the 2013 film, Attarintiki Daredi, written and helmed by Trivikram Srinivas. After being in the media headlines for his controversial exit from Karan Johar's "Dostana 2", the Pyaar Ka Punchnama actor is gearing up for multiple films, falling in different genres, that too under the big production banners. ## Recently, producer Sajid Nadiadwala of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment announced an epic musical romantic love saga - Satyanarayan Ki Katha, fronted by Kartik Aaryan. It will be directed by Sameer Vidwans and will start rolling later this year with an aim to hit theaters in 2022. ## Apart from Nadiadwala's film, the actor is shooting for Anees Bazmee's "Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2", which will be wrapped up by August this year. He is also doing the Hindi remake of Telugu blockbuster Ala Vaikunthapuramaloo, starring Allu Arjun and Pooja Hegde in the lead. The movie titled Satyanarayan Ki Katha is an epic romantic love story film that will be directed by the National award-winning director, Sameer Vidwans - known for Marathi films like Dhurala, Altun Paltun, among others. ## While the rest of the casting is still underway, it is said that hardworking and talented, Shraddha Kapoor has been finalized to romance Kartik in the film. According to reports, Sajid Nadiadwala has already narrated the film to the actress, and she loved it and agreed to be a part of this beautiful love saga. The paperwork will soon be completed and then she will officially be on board the film. ## It will be the first time when Shraddha and Kartik will be sharing the screen space. While the movie will mainly revolve around Kartik, Shraddha has a very important part to play in it as well. It wouldn't have been Kartik-Shraddha's first appearance together had Kartik not rejected Batti Gul Meter Chalu, in which, Kartik was reportadly offered to play the supporting role (Divyendu's role). ## Meanwhile, Kartik has plenty of films in the pipeline. Hyderabad, June 25, 2021: On May 29, the young and talented director Prasanth Varma had announced Tollywood's first-ever original superhero movie, Hanu-Man, on his birthday. The Zombie Reddy had made the announcement and promised to take the Telugu audience into a new cinematic universe with his favorite, superhero genre. ## And now, today on June 25, the movie has been officially launched in Hyderabad with the pooja ceremony. Teja Sajja, who played the lead role in Prasanth Varma's previous directorial, Zombie Reddy, has been cast to play the lead in Hanu-Man as well. ## The fourth directorial film of Varma will be produced by K Niranjan Reddy under his banner Prime Show Entertainment. The shooting of Hanu-Man will kick-start next month in Hyderabad. Naandhi is a crime courtroom drama film, directed by Vijay Kanakamedala. It was released on 19 February this year. ## "Naandhi" follows the life of Surya Prakash (Allari Naresh), an under-trial prisoner who is falsely accused of murder, awaiting judgment. The movie received critical reception and was also a commercially blockbuster. Apart from Allari Naresh, the movie also stars Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in a lead role while Priyadarshi, Harish Uthaman, Vinay Varma, and Praveen play supporting roles. ## The Hindi remake will be produced by Ajay Devgn, Dil Raju, Kuldeep Rathore, and Parag Desai. Kiara Advani On Board For RC15 And Anniyan Hindi Remake?

While her Shershaah with Sidharth Malhorta is completed, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Jug Jugg Jeeyo, and Mr. Lele are under production. ## Now, it is learnt that Kiara has been roped in to play the female lead in Ram Charan's next Pan India film with director Shankar Shanmugam. According to Pinkvilla, Kiara has signed a multi-film deal with Shankar including RC15 and Anniyan Hindi remake starring Ranveer Singh. ## It is said that Kiara will be a part of both - RC15 and Anniyan remake. It will be the second time when Kiara will share screen space with Ram Charan while Anniyan Hindi remake will mark her first movie with Ranveer Singh. The character details and shoot schedules have been kept under wraps, however, the Shankar film Ranveer Singh will go on floors sometime next year, only once the work on RC 15 is concluded. ## Apart from these two films, the actress might also star in Shankar's 3rd film. However, the report suggests that it's not known if that too will be helmed by Shankar or just produced by him. While the first two will happen in a quick span, the third one might take some time to roll out. ## Meanwhile, according to reports, RC15 will be a historical drama film. It will be Ram Charan's first movie after the period action film, RRR that is scheduled to release worldwide on October 13 this year. RC15 will also have a grand pan India release in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages. It will be produced by Dil Raju and Shirish under the production banner Sri Venkateswara Creations. ## On the other hand, Ranveer's film is the official Hindi adaptation of Shankar's own directorial 2005 Tamil psychological action thriller, "Anniyan" starring Chiyaan Vikram. The actress had recently announced that she is collaborating with writer-director Sai Kabir for a political drama that revolves around former India Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. ## However, for a change, she has now decided to direct the film herself along with starring in the film in the role of Indira Gandhi. She took to microblogging app, Koo, and said that no one can direct the film, which is titled Emergency, better than her after working on the film for more than a year. ## "Pleased to wear director's hat again, after working on Emergency for more than a year I finally figured no one can direct it better than me. Collaborating with fabulous writer Ritesh Shah, even if it means sacrificing on various acting assignments I am determined to do it, my excitement is high. This is going to be a tremendous journey, my leap to another league #Emergency #Indira", Kangana wrote on Koo. ## Ritesh Shah, who has written films such as Pink, Kahaani, Kahaani 2, D-Day, Rocky Handsome, and others, would write the script of Indira Gandhi's biopic as well. He also wrote Kangana Ranaut's next film, Dhaakad. ## Speaking to Pinkvilla, Kangana added, "Yes. This is going to be my second directorial. Even though I wanted another film, which I am also ready with, as my second directorial. But, it so happened that I was very keen to bring Indira Gandhi's story which has never been brought to screen. I was very eager to bring it to screen. I am very happy to be the director of this film. Looking forward to bringing the iconic story to the silver screen". ## The period film will be mounted on a very big scale, and have actors portraying Sanjay Gandhi, Rajeev Gandhi, Morarji Desai, and Lal Bahadur Shashtri among other prominent figures. Mumbai, June 24, 2021: Vidya Balan starrer thriller film, "Sherni", invites fresh controversy. The movie, which released on June 18 directly on Amazon Prime Video, deals with the subjects like human-wildlife conflict and wildlife conservation. It shows how human greed is destroying wildlife. ## While the movie deals with the sensitive subject of wildlife, the makers of the film have been alleged for "twisting of facts" relating to the killing of tigress Avni. A Hyderabad shooter Asghar Ali Khan, who shot dead tigress Avni in Maharashtra's Yavatmal in 2018, is contemplating legal action against the makers of the film. "We are consulting the legal advisers. We have not yet taken a final call," Asghar Ali Khan told IANS on Wednesday. #### He has accused the makers of the film of presenting a completely different story regarding the killing of tigress Avni. Asghar Ali Khan, who is the son of well-known shooter Nawab Sahafath Ali Khan, alleged that the movie projected them as "trigger-happy shooters". "We had gone there at the invitation of the government and killed the man-eater tigress which had mauled to death 14 persons but we were projected as if we were hunting for fun", he said. ## He argued that the way the makers presented them in the film, could damage their reputation and add "fuel to the fire" to the sensitive matter which is already subjudice. Abundantia Entertainment Pvt Ltd, one of the producers of the film, however, clarified that "Sherni" is a creative work of fiction and will not hamper "any supposed ongoing investigation" or damage Asghar Ali or his father's reputation. ## Asghar Ali, however, is not satisfied with this. "If there is one similarity between what was shown in the movie and what happened in Avni's case, it can be called coincidence but there are so many similarities. There was a lady officer in the real operation, there is a lady officer (Vidya Balan) in the movie. There are other similarities like two cubs of the tigress and the use of urine of another tiger to attract the tigress", he said.## Sherni is directed by Amit V. Masurkar and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Vikram Malhotra, and Amit V. Masurkar under the banners of T-Series, and Abundantia Entertainment. Southampton, June 23, 2021: After coming second on two back-to-back occasions in ODI World Cups in 2015, and 2019, New Zealand finally got their hands on the ICC trophy.
