Ayushmann Khurrana has recently wrapped up the filming of Anubhav Sinha's "Anek" which was shot extensively in the Northeast. The Bala actor has explored various Indian cultures with his films "Meri Pyaari Bindu", "Bala", "Dum Laga Ke Haisha", which have been set in small towns. ## Amazed by the different cultures, Ayushmann says that he has always been fascinated by the diverse culture of India and adds this love for tradition and customs was inculcated in him as a child.## "I have been fascinated about the cultures and traditions of India since I was a child. My parents ensured that they taught me about how diverse my country is and inculcated the interest to know more and respect the different cultures existing in India", he says to the entertainment portal.## Ayushmann feels Indians are fortunate to experience an incredible diversity of a country that needs to be cherished deeply. "As Indians, we are blessed to soak in so many cultures and experience so much richness of diversity", he adds. ## Apart from Anek, the 36-year old will be seen in the romantic drama film "Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui", directed by Abhishek Kapoor. Raashi Khanna On Shooting With Shahid Kapoor & Vijay Sethupathi In Raj & DK's Web Series

The second shooting schedule of Raj and DK's upcoming thriller series for Amazon Prime Video has commenced in Goa. The series stars Shahid Kapoor, Vijay Sethupati, and Raashii Khanna in the prominant roles. While Raashi has already shared screen space with Sethupathi in Sangathamizhan, and Tughlaq Durbar it is the first time actress will star with Shahid. ## Excited to shoot with the filmmaker duo for this series featuring the two stars, Raashi said, "Shooting for this one-of-a-kind thriller has been an absolute joyride, and diving into a fresh schedule is going to be very exciting for me. The experience of being directed by Raj and DK is fantastic, and with stars such as Shahid and Vijay, I am always on my toes".## Titled "Sunny", the web show is said to be a two-part series in which Shahid is in the titular role while Vijay Sethupathi has reportedly been signed to play the villain. Raashi's role is yet to be known. Actress Rashmika Mandanna, who is called "National Crush" by her fans, is currently shooting for her Bollywood debut film, "Mission Majnu". The talented actress has been paired with Sidharth Malhotra, who made his debut in 2012 with "Student of The Year" and has almost a decade-long experience to go about things in the Bollywood film industry. ## Rashmika, who is sharing screen space with Sidharth for the first time, has already some nice things to say about him. "He is my senior and a wonderful guy. He has often guided me on the use of the dialect we have to speak in the film and has also helped me nail my performance. When I perform a scene, I always look out for what my co-actor feels. I need to see whether my emotions strike a chord with him or her. If they react in the right manner, then I know I will be able to convey those emotions to the audience, too", she said to a leading daily. ## "Sidharth, in that sense, has always been there for me. We chat about what we should do in a scene and how we should approach it. FWICE Issues New Shooting Guidelines Amid Covid Second Wave

Amid the second wave of the covid-19 pandemic, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has issued new guidelines for shooting, pre-production, and post-production work in Maharashtra.## A statement issued by FWICE reads, "The office-bearers of FWICE had a Zoom meeting with the honorable Chief Minister, Shri Uddhav Thackeray. The FWICE has assured the CM that the industry will be responsible where the SOPs of the COVID guidelines are concerned. FWICE in coordination with experts has laid down guidelines that all people involved in pre-production, shooting, and post-production work will have to adhere to. Please note that none of the below guidelines are up for negotiation. These guidelines as of now will be applicable till 30 April 2021".## 1. The shooting of crowd sequences and songs with dancers in large numbers will not be allowed.## 2. Wearing masks and continuous sanitization is a must on the sets, in production offices, and in post-production studios.## 3. A FWICE monitoring team has been constituted. They will be visiting sets and post-production studios to constantly check upon that all guidelines are being adhered. In case of flouting of any rule by an individual, they shall be liable for the strictest disciplinary action by the FWICE.## 4. Any individual or production creating any kind of hindrance in the path of the adherence of the guidelines, will be dealt with strictly.## "The production offices and post-production offices will be functional as we have been allowed by the government to complete our work so that shows and films can be aired".## The notice further mentions that a complete lockdown will be followed from Friday 8 pm to Monday 7 am, and shooting, setting, pre-production, or post-production activities should be avoided during this period. The notice also requests members to adhere to guidelines in order to avoid a complete lockdown, which will be "quite shattering and destructive" for the members.## Stay tuned...

The leading streaming giant, Netflix has grabbed gold by signing a new multiyear deal with Sony Pictures. According to the contract, Netflix will be the first to stream Sony Feature Films beginning from 2022 after they complete their theatrical run in the USA. These films include Uncharted, Morbius, Bullet Train & Where The Crawdads Sing, along with future sequels to Venom, Jumanji, Bad Boys & Spiderman: Into The Spider-Verse.## Sony Pictures' primary pay-TV partner has been Starz, now owned by Lionsgate, since 2006. The new theatrical output deal with Netflix is believed to run about five years and is said to have worth hundreds of millions of dollars to the studio over the term. Industry sources said (according to Variety) Sony executives are working on another significant theatrical movie licensing pact outside the Netflix agreement.## Netflix is an obvious first pay window choice for Sony, given that the company already has a deal for its animated releases with Netflix. But the new deal is far more comprehensive and will see Sony's theatrical films from its Columbia Pictures, Sony Pictures Classics, Screen Gems, and TriStar Pictures studios all head to Netflix after completing their theatrical run. ## Starting in 2022, Netflix will be the first US streaming home for Sony Pictures films following their theatrical releases. Karthi Credits Rashmika Mandanna For The Big Opening Of Sulthan

The recently released Tamil movie, Sulthan starring Karthi, and Rashmika Mandanna is having a successful run at the box office. Billed on a lot of expectations, the action entertainer has emerged victorious with nearly INR 25 crore in the first six days. The movie opened with INR 6.45 crores which is one of the biggest openings for Karthi. ## On Wednesday (April 7), the team of Sulthan came together in Chennai for the film's thanksgiving meet, where they spoke highly of the audience and the media's support for the film. However, some of the crew members look disappointed with negative reviews by some critics but Karthi did manage by saying that they are happy with the response the movie received. ## Apart from acknowledging the media and public support, Karthi specifically mentioned Rashmika Mandanna who made her Tamil debut with Sulthan. Karthi said that the actress's ever-expanding fanbase was one of the reasons for the film's grand opening. It is well known that fitness enthusiast Rashmika has a crazy fan following in every part of the country. ## Talking about Sulthan, it is directed by Bakkiyaraj Kannan and co-produced by S. R. Prakash Babu and S. R. Prabhu under the banner Dream Warrior Pictures. Apart from Karthi and Rashmika, the movie also stars Ramachandra Raju, Lal, Yogi Babu, and Nawab Shah in key roles. It was released on April 2 in Tamil and Telugu languages. ## Meanwhile, Rashmika has four films in the pipeline including her Bollywood debut film Mission Majnu along with one more Hindi film, Goodbye, in which she is starring alongside Amitabh Bachchan as his daughter. The young actress will also be starring in the Telugu film, Pushpa opposite superstar Allu Arjun. Committed To Theatrical Release, Salman Khan Says 'Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai' Might Be Postponed To Next Eid

Amid the covid-19 second wave across the country, Salman Khan, on Wednesday (April 7), said that his long and highly-awaited, "Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai" might get postpone for the next Eid if the cases do not drop. However, the superstar said that if people follow guidelines and the second covid-19 wave dies down then "Radhe" is very much on for the Eid 2021 release i.e. May 13. ## Maharashtra, which is the biggest market for Hindi films, is under a partial lockdown, with night curfew and weekend lockdown being imposed earlier this week to curb the virus. The restrictions will remain in place till April 30 which has forced theaters to close. ## Salman was speaking at the book launch of veteran actor Kabir Bedi's memoir, titled "Stories I Must Tell: The Emotional Life Of An Actor". When Bedi asked Salman about the status of Radhe, the superstar said, "We still are trying our best to release it on Eid. But if the lockdown continues, we might have to push it to the next Eid. But if people wear their masks and keep social distance, and take good care of themselves, don't go out, don't break any of these laws that the government has put on us right now, I think this (second wave) will die off really soon". ## Adding that Radhe will release this Eid if the second wave of Covid-19 dies down, Salman said a lockdown will adversely affect not only the theater owners but also the daily wage workers. "If it happens, we will have Radhe in theaters in Eid. But, if the citizens do not follow these, it will not only be a problem for theatre-owners but also the daily wage workers. It is just going to be a really bad one like it was earlier. Everyone should be really serious and ensure we kill this coronavirus and move on in our lives before it kills us all".## "The most important thing is that we had promised for last Eid. That had to be postponed due to the pandemic. We then committed for this Eid. The picture will, of course, get released, and, by the grace of God, it has been made well so it will also work well.
